I originally booked to stay for 6 nights and ended up staying for nearly a month. The perfect place for travelling alone or as a group; the hostel atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and welcoming and the Good Feeling team really make you feel at home. I would definitely recommend staying for dinner in the evening, not only is the food delicious but it’s a great way to meet some amazing people and afterwards, why not treat yourself to one of Manuel’s famous caipirinhas and chill in one of the hammocks!
Whether you’ve never surfed before or are the next JJF, Good Feeling have you covered - I learned to surf with these guys years ago and am now totally hooked. The hostel is located close to a range of stunning beaches and the free shuttle which runs to and from the beach is a life saver for those (like me) who don’t have a car. I would also strongly recommend both the surf lessons and the SUP tours…the best way to spend the day!
A clean, modern, friendly hostel with an easy, relaxed, welcoming vibe, Good Feeling is a truly special place to stay and return to…the only problem is, you’ll always want to stay just ‘one more night!’

Best hostel I stayed so far because all the people I met there were extremely friendly. Every evening they cooked and for 12 € you could eat altogether, in the 12 € even the red wine was included! There was a bar were you could have a Caipirinha for 3 €, beers for 1.5€, so it was really cheap! If you want to go surfing its really a good place to stay, the surf school in the hostel was good too! The only negative point was that you were not too close to the beach or to places were you could go party if you do not have a car. But you can always find someone that takes you to the beach!

Beautiful tour, well organised, fantastic tourguide Pedro, huge entertainer, our children loved it, they were able to jump from different rocks! Nice caves and cliffs, you will see on your way. No experience necessary. Ride back is with jetski.

The place met my expectations, I wasn't traveling by car so it was quite convenient having a bus stop just a few meters away from site. There is a small supermarket and a tiny family restaurant 5min walking away from them too. My room was infested with ants and I found a bit unsettling the night toilet trips since the shared bathrooms are not necessarily close to the bungalows. On my last day I had to take an ice cold shower since there seemed to be an issue, and we couldn't go to sleep without a shower after a long day at the beach. The shared kitchen stoves are not functioning well either, but the atmosphere of the place is great! What surprised me the most was not being able to pay by card on site, let alone asking for an invoice. Staff was friendly, though! Especially Claudia, the Spanish speaking receptionist, and the girl from the bar was amazing too! Overall was a nice experience, there was no noise through the night and we enjoyed the roosters and nature surrounding the place.

I spent some time volunteering at this hostel and I did not enjoy my experience. I had previously stayed at this hostel as a guest and despite its isolated location I still enjoyed my time here. However, I would not suggest you to stay longer than a few days as it is so far from any built up area and the town it is closest to is very quiet with nothing going on. The hostel itself is clean and well equipped. The surf school is separate from the hostel and it is a nice school but the lessons are quite short and the classes are rather large so you don't get a lot of attention from your instructor. As a volunteer, I did not enjoy my experience here as the organisation was poor and the communication was also not good. The accommodation for the volunteers was not satisfactory and this was the only thing that was provided in exchange for work. There was a lot of pressure on the volunteers for minimum benefits and in the end this pressure was too much

I went there on my own and met a lot of like-minded people. The vibe is just great and I loved that people from all over the world stay here so you meet a lot of different travellers. I would totally recommend having dinner together there as the cook is amazing!
The outdoor area & the pool is clean, very spacious and quiet.
The staff will drive you to the beaches if you don't have a car yourself which was great.
Favourite part of the Hostel: the hammocks outside on the patio.

Nice and chill Hostel. They have the best car, the best Carlos and the best cat. Have been coming here for surf holidays for a couple of years. Great location to pick as a home base with quick access to all the surf beaches in the area.

When I booked my trip to The Algarve I didn't know exactly where to go. I saw The Good Feeling Hostel online but it put me off that it wasn't by the beach. Once I arrived on Sagres I realised that the majority of the hostels/surf camps are not near the beaches where you wanna surf anyway. Also, when some of the other surf camps charge you money to take you to the beach, at the Good Feeling they do it for free. However, the important thing, is how welcoming I felt in this place! The staff are totally amazing! The vibe and atmosphere in the hostel is unbelievable. I have never been in a hostel like this one. I'm actually coming back again at the end of this month. Definitely the place to go!

Perfectly situated in the middle of nowhere yet close enough to Sagres and Lagos to reach those places with the bus that passes through fairly often. This rustic little spot is not short of friendly staff, beautiful scenery, good vibes and hammocks! I felt so welcome that I actually extended my stay. There is always someone going for a surf so be nice and you can get a lift to the beach no problem. Dinner is usually a communal meal and lends to the family-like vibe of the place. The guys are very helpful and go out of their way to make sure you are sorted.

Sagres is not yet as touristic as the rest of Algarve, so if you're looking for some quite surfing time or just passing through, you can spend couple of night here. PRO: it's a hostel, free working wifi CON: it's a hostel, you need a car to get there and around

Ola and thanks for your review. We're happy that you enjoyed the time in Sagres away from the 'typical tourist areas' and appreciated the quiet nature of the area. We can't disagree that our accommodation is a hostel - it's in the name ;) but we like to think that the service we offer is much more than a basic hostel; with many extra opportunities for our guests and a unique atmosphere of relaxation and fun - this most of our visitors will agree! We recommend to people who stay for an extended period that if they want to travel further that they hire a car (really cheap deals are available all year round) or they can rent one of our scooters. The public transport is good from our central location, with the bus stop just outside the door, and we also have our free beach transfer service every day. Perhaps we improved many of the facilities since your stay with us and you'll enjoy more if you come again. We look forward to welcoming you if you do! Best wishes to you and safe travels
