Detailed Reviews
Stylish hotel with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Do not pack heavily as, certainly our room, was small with limited hanging space. Suitcases just had to be laid on the floor and used as storage for the duration of our visit.
Buffet breakfast was quite expensive considering lack of cooked food choice. Evening meals if chosen were varied and of decent quality and price.
As a budget site to explore Bordeaux itself the location was quite good. Trams first class.

We, my hubby and I found the Live Hotel to be so welcoming, comfortable and great value for money!!
With free parking, great service, a pool and a wonderful location, centre ville is just a tram ride away and the lake is just across the road.
A very special shout-out to Hugo!! Thank you for your unwavering help especially when I thought I had forgotten my car keys.
Such a great hotel!!!
Many thanks,
Katie Coakley

Stayed at Live hotels Bordeaux Lac for 3 nights. Staff are excellent, decor nice especially in lounge/restaurant. Great to have pool but it is small and has few loungers. Very close to lake and beach which was needed when temps were close to 40c.
The location is handy for Bordeaux city and has a good supermarket nearby but the area is quite industrial and lacks coffee shops, especially in August when many premises were closed.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel but local area could have more going on

Practical, basic, not expensive hotel in a modern building near a roundabout facing the lake.
Spartan in the environments (particular the choice to equip guests only with a unique towel) and contents for spaces turns out to be very practical and much loved to give a clientele, from what I seemed to sense in my stay, rather young.
Very nice restaurant / bar and nice small terrace
English speaker the reception staff.
Possibility, for a fee, of an outdoor parking and / or garage (spaces are occupied so the covered space is not guaranteed) without direct connection to the hotel.
Important well to consider the location of the hotel. Near the lake, opposite the organized beach (where you can play sports activities as well as sunbathing, both possibilities, which I do not sponsor in any way), and overall practical for extra urban travel by car, it is also housed in a vaguely modern and globally not unforgettable neighborhood, extremely deserted from late afternoon (there are several offices) and away from the city center, whose possible walk is a walk that I do not Recommendation and not -only- for the distance, by car are 10 minutes away from the many garages along the Garonne.
This toponymic focus, I specify, for the benefit of a complete picture and without influence on my personal Rating.

We arrived late at the hotel. The restaurant was closed at that time for lunch.... but Inés, an Italian professional, served us, who made an effort to speak in Spanish and solved the problem for us, she offered us a reduced menu, we were able to eat and not delay our schedule. Furthermore, he treated us fantastically.
Inés is one of the people who makes this hotel successful. We have to come to Bordeaux a lot and this hotel will be our first option.

Horrible, mold in the shower, ok room. Expensive restaurant and bad mussel risotto with only 3 uncleaned mussels, crumble so hard to break your teeth. To finish breakfast without fresh bread, so hard as a brick. Avoid even if the decor may attract you.

Perfect !
Attentive, competent, pleasant staff... a real pleasure.
Soundproofing, quality of bedding, organization of space (24m2 space), completely silent mini-fridge in the kitchenette... everything is perfect.
Quality catering! well-crafted products, original proposals... and, that doesn't spoil anything, in a very pretty decor.
Possibility of eating good dishes even once the restaurant is closed. WELL DONE !
PS: do not choose this hotel for the swimming pool: it allows you to relax, but not to swim.

Well received by the reception team, I had a good stay in this hotel.
The hotel overall is tastefully furnished. The room is well equipped and decorated, as well as very spacious.
The swimming pool, despite its small size (and the few deckchairs available), is very pleasant on these very hot days.
The breakfast buffet is well stocked. However, I regret not having found fresh baked goods and pastries for the asking price.
The meal at the restaurant is quality and well served. In addition, the space is nice and very quiet. I had a pleasant evening. THANKS.
This hotel has potential and I think there are still certain details that need to be improved to be at the top.

Great hotel with very comfortable bedding and discreet air conditioning. Excellent restaurant and charming staff. Some board games available which is very nice. The hotel is located not far from a tram stop and opposite a lake and its beach.

No duck but man was I pleased. After a very long drive to Bordeaux we checked out local restaurants and this one popped up. We thought we would give it a try. The welcome was warm and in English so I didnt have to slaughter the beautiful French language. A great qr code menu ideas and we chose a basque burger, not one in a basque as unfortunately the duck was gone. A great range of beers too. To say that the burger was incredible is an understatement, it was perfect and the additional elements which I think were burnt end crumbs of some kind really sweet of the meal to. My only mistake was in my addled brain I forgot to leave a tip which I never do and all I can do is offer this review. Superb all round well be back the next time we are passing through.
