Summer Beach Hotel is lauded for its prime location, with guests enjoying its beach proximity, ample parking, and easy public transport access. The hotel's cleanliness generally receives high marks, though there are occasional mentions of pool issues. While the staff's service is often commended for their attentiveness, some guests have experienced disorganization. The rooms are celebrated for their spaciousness, yet the dated decor and maintenance have drawn criticism. Despite the hotel's welcoming atmosphere, reviewers warn that additional fees may detract from the overall value.

This hotel was ok. I’ve read some awful reviews and don’t think it’s as bad as that..our experience wasn’t at least.
The receptionist when we arrived pointed us in the general direction of our room then disappeared to take some other people to their room at a different part of the resort..it took us a while to find as it was late and not very well lit. It was a case of walking around and looking at the small numbers on the wall!
The room itself was large, clean with a balcony. Unfortunately the balcony overlooked the back of the hotel which was a lot of overgrown shrubbery..which invited the mozzies to have a feast on us at night and we were covered in bites!
The bed was ridiculously hard, we may as well have slept on the floor and we only had one pillow each..not the most comfortable! The air con was good though. The tv worked but could only get signal on one channel. There was tea and coffee making facilities which was an unexpected bonus and we were left some food in the room as we arrived late. The shower was ok, you could tell when other people were showering as the water pressure dropped and the temperature was up and down.
The room service was hit and miss, the pillow covers weren’t changed at all and the bed sheets were only changed when we asked.
The pool area was clean and tidy but there was no atmosphere! The sun loungers were hard and uncomfortable. There was no entertainment at all which was pretty boring, the all inclusive drinks were very limited and the girl behind the pool bar every day didn’t know how to smile!
The food was always fresh and not in short supply, it became a bit samey and not everything was labelled however there was always something tasty available. The waiting staff were very friendly. There were lots of stray cats about which is common and wasn’t an issue for us. The restaurant is across the road from the hotel and is sheltered but open if that makes sense. We liked it!
We asked about a trip that the hotel offered but was told it was only on certain days which meant we couldn’t go..however the receptionist, who spoke excellent English, was really kind and ended up arranging it for a day we could go. This was for an extra cost. We also had to pay a deposit for towels to use at the pool which was returned when we gave them back. There was also room tax to pay which I wasn’t aware of before we arrived. And although we had arrived late (after midnight) on the Friday, we still had to pay for a late checkout the following Friday as our flight was late at night again but check out is 11am.
When you are all inclusive you get free hire of loungers and parasols on the beach, there is a particular section of the beach for each hotel.
All in all our experience wasn’t terrible but we wouldn’t go to Summer Beach Hotel again. We booked what is supposedly a 4 star hotel but it felt more like a 3 star.

All the staff friendly room is lovely clean and changes daily, some staff don't speak English but they find someone who can, we are all inclusive and like most places food is repetitive and Luke warm, juices are all watered down but hey you get what you pay for and we paid peanuts for 7 days, as the saying goes, pay peanuts, get monkeys. Pool could do with a clean but I'm in the sea most of the time. We find trips a little expensive but that's due to the high taxation that's never dropped as previously mentioned holiday tax isn't mentioned anywhere but it's the new thing even UK is implementing it slowly, been around for years in Europe. The hotel is nice and central and if you make the most of what you have you can have a lovely time here. All 6 of us could be miserable but we laugh it off and get out and enjoy ourselves. Should be a 2/3 star but hey, butlins budget rooms you can count the breeze blocks 😆 good location good staff and like my school reports used to say could do better

First of all it's not a 4 star hotel and the rooms look nothing like the pictures, I feel as soon as a hotel states 4 star the expectation is so much higher leading to loads of negative reviews just be honest and exceed peoples expectations. The rooms where ok and nice and clean towels changed regular and coffees etc topped up, the pool area small could imagine it very busy if hotel is full, pool bar small but ok and resturant which isn't in hotel but across the road offered enough choice for every meal on the all inclusive but wasn't very big I personally enjoyed the food, my girlfriend was a little bit put off as not everything was warm. All staff where nice and friendly.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and for what we paid it was totally fine, I wouldn't be put off by the bad reviews it is ok.

The hotel transfer to the hotel took about 40 minutes. We didn't arrive at the hotel until after midnight due to the flight delay, but the staff had provided food if we wanted to eat.

The rooms are a bit dated but comfortable and are cleaned daily (except Sundays). Fresh towels are provided during cleaning. The cleaning staff was friendly and always said hello.

The safe was available for an additional fee and there was no iron in the room; I think these things should be included. You had to go to the ironing room to iron something, and sometimes it was quite crowded there.

The food was good and varied. There were different types of meat and a children's area with chicken nuggets, fish sticks, etc. I would have liked cold meats in the restaurant at the lunch menu as it was so hot and I didn't want hot food. I have to say that Success was amazing – very motivated and a real working bee.

I recently stayed at Summer Beach Hotel and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was tasteful and delicious, and the hotel receptionist Popi was a lifesaver from check-in to check-out. Her friendly and helpful demeanor made my stay all the more enjoyable. The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean, and I appreciated the option to rent extra towels for the beach and pool with just a 20 euro deposit. The hotel's location just a couple minutes away from the beach was ideal, and the wooden sunbeds provided the perfect place to relax and enjoy good drinks and cocktails.

Arrived late at night and the lady at reception showed us to our room, after we roamed the streets for 10-15minutes looking for a hotel with no sign posting. Was pleasantly surprised by the room we had, it was pretty big, clean and the bathroom was nice and had a good shower. The cleaners were polite and friendly, held a conversation with you if you bumped into them.

In the morning we woke up earlish for breakfast but wasn’t very impressed with the options, so we ended up skipping breakfast for the rest of the holiday. The all inclusive alcohol drink selections wasn’t great, we ended up buying our own alcohol taking it to the bar/restaurant in the evenings and getting mixer from the bar. We quite enjoyed the lunch and dinner meals, sometimes the options were a bit questionable but overall it was all pretty tasty.

Some of the staff were pretty rude, we had a young female bar staff at the pool on Wednesday who was horrible. We ordered two drinks and the huff, sigh and eye roll was disgusting. Just made us think, if you don’t like working behind a bar, then don’t! We had two waiters in the restaurant who was very nice, a young lad and an older man. The older man also worked behind the bar and was chatty and always said hello. On our last evening we sat and played Uno in the bar, we had just started a game and they said they was closing. We asked if we could quickly finish the game and the man behind the bar said it was fine. The cleaner, an older lady with black hair, said to us again “CLOSED” and we explained that the gentleman behind the bar said we could finish the game quickly, she a scoffed and then turned the lights out on us so we were sat in darkness. We felt that this was a bit unnecessary.

We then had an issue with the fridge making loud noises throughout the night, the air conditioning unit was dripping water over the electric plugs this woke us up at 2am. We quickly had to turn everything off and removed the plugs from the wall. The walls for the room were paper thin, we had two young people staying next door who would be slamming doors, dragging their chairs across the floor, talking loudly outside all night until 4am in the morning most nights we were there, so had very little sleep.

On the first day we sat around the pool, which is basically a no-sun zone. If you want to lay in the sun and catch a tan I recommend bypassing the feral swimming pool and head to the beach instead. The pool was pretty filthy, there was left over balls and pool floats which had started to cover in moss. There was a lot of leaves and bugs in the pool, something which could have been cleared with a simple run round with a net in the morning.

Me and my partner would return to Crete, Georgioupolis but we wouldn’t stay at the Summer Beach hotel again. I struggle to insert stand now this qualifies as a 4* a hotel, at most it’s a 2*

The first impression was very good. We arrived late, 01.30 and by then they had made sandwiches and fruit that was in the room. They carried the luggage up to the room for us. We had a family room, big and nice. But eventually discovered that it was old and worn. The door to one of the three balconies could not be opened from the outside. We complained about ants, they came and sprayed. The next day, complained again, they came and sprayed, the next day we didn't bother to say anything. One day they had forgotten to wash, when they do, they often only wash floors, make beds, and change bed linen, but nothing more. Those at the reception, the cleaners do not speak English. We had all inclusive, there we ate in a separate place, pleasant service, a few can speak English, often empty for what we wanted to eat. Little variety in the meals. At worst, only dry loin was to be toasted. Many Poles there. Few Scandinavians when we were there.

Overall a bad stay, primary due to an awful smell of sewage throughought the complex; restaurant steps entrance, primary pool bar area and the secondary pool (Alpha Bar). First impressions were not great either. There wasn't even a sign outside the hotel with it's name! The coach dropped us off 50 meters down the road and we walked straight past the hotel in the middle of the night. Drinks were all non branded rubbish, including all the soft drinks (eg Rola Cola/30% polish vodka). Branded drinks were full price, €6 for a mixer in a plastic cup or €8 for a cocktail again all plastic cups. Food was bad but not terrible. Plenty of choice and a nice fresh grill with various meats. Most of the food was cheap and anything involving protein was fatty or minimal in quantity when mixed with rice or potato dishes (profit first right). The room was acceptable even if there were some signs of grime/mold in the bathroom. The shower was made for a 3ft person as the shower head is literally waist height. This was far from a 4* stay. This hotel in my opinion should be rated 3* and be cheaper. Now for the positives. The staff were mostly happy and friendly. The location of the hotel is great if you are willing to spend some money and walk around the area. You can fill a week easily with boat hires, horse riding, jet skis, quad biking or bar crawling. We ended up spending some nights in other hotels for their entertainment and branded drinks (without the terrible smell) we recommend trying GB Rooftop and Corrisa on the sea front. We took €500 Euro to spend on trips but ran out fairly quickly due to the lack of entertainment and nice food/drinks here.

The front desk staff doesn't speak english and doesn't know the answers to basic questions like where can you park your car (parking isn't available). All inclusive is too much to say. They do not have ice for drinks and there is no longer access to soft drinks such as juices in the evening bar. The service from the dining area removes the plates while the guests are still eating from them. The restaurant manager pays attention to the whole room if any of the guests after breakfast takes oranges with them, because you can't. A lot of prohibitions, the appearance of the rooms and general service deserves 2 *. Certainly not on 4

This was quite frankly the worst hotel I have stepped foot in and I know you will agree. The hotel was absolutely disgusting even though the photos online were nice and clean. (See the photos attached of this hotel) The air-con also made an awful noise and the shower didn’t get hot. The crickets were also beyond loud due to the bush on our ground floor balcony, not what I would expect from a “Superior Double” room. Also they have photos on their instagram advertising that you can visit their new part of the hotel even though it isn’t even built yet. This is also linked to OnTheBeach as they state they have 2 pools despite only having one and the other being the one they haven’t even started building yet. After complaining to the reception she agreed and said she would move our room to a different one and have the cleaners go in before we are moved. This waisted 2 days of our holiday. Thankfully they managed to change our hotel to one they are connected to (another couple changed to that hotel at the same time as us). Absolutely awful.

Hi. It is the Mare Garden Hotel. Turn right out of Summer Beach reception, walk about 100m and you will come to a junction.Turn right and the entrance to the pool and bar is about 20m along the road, to your left. Hope that helps.
