Detailed Reviews
I can’t imagine a better stay anywhere seaside in the Netherlands! The owners, Harald & Helen, are fabulous. It is evident that they have an eye for detail and hospitality. The premises are immaculate. The surroundings are incredibly comforting and the rooms are cozy, clean and beautifully appointed. Having a tea by the modern yet cozy fireplace was a great way to end the day. The breakfast was delicious - the signature avocado toast and the smoothie of the day alfresco in the garden were the perfect way to begin our day. The greenhouse and the Green Egg smoker create an additional vibe that can’t be beat anywhere in Holland. We can’t wait to come back and rent out the entire building for my next senior management meeting.

Excellent service at breakfast time.
Easy to communicate with the other guest.
It is stylish, but also very cosy!

This villa is home away from home. It is clean, great hospitality, delicious breakfast. Only 8 rooms. Nice garden. Luxury in all the rooms, living room and kitchen. Great location. Bergen has nice restaurants and shops. Not far from the beach (by car)

We were welcomed by the friendly owner and offered coffee and apple tart. Initial impressions were very good. The Villa is very chic in the public spaces and back garden. The food, general facilities and staff were of a high standard.
Our room, however was very small (on the top floor) - almost claustrophobic. There was hardly any space for two suitcases which had to be put on the floor, The en-suite toilet offered hardly any privacy and the AC in the room was not effective. It was cooler in the hallway outside the room than in the room.
Although we had booked five days, we left after three nights.

Extremely small room with bizarre lighting scheme. Bed was comfortable but pillows were horrendous. Very nice breakfast. Outdoor street parking was available. Strangely, the establishment failed to provide an invoice upon checkout. I followed up with three emails and ultimately had to call the 'manager' to get it.
I don't know about other hotel options in the charming village of Bergen, but this is just OK for one or two nights, no more. Certainly not a five star experience in any way.

What a great deluxe superb hotel. Lovely staff, beautiful decorated rooms and bathrooms and the best breakfast cooked to order by the friendliest ladies! What a treat! Wonderful location, a few steps from ‘downtown’ Bergen!

My mum and I truly loved our stay here at Villa Kranenbergh. Harold and Helen are lovely hosts who have created a true gem in Bergen. But it is their true kind spirit that makes this place so special. They have created a beautiful boutique hotel that's so charming, with a wonderful staff, they have such a great eye for design and their hotel is right in the center of town. Their breakfasts are incredible as well.
I highly recommend booking your stay here, we've returned here three times. It's these special places that bring you back because there's a sense of tranquility at Villa Kranenbergh when discovering the magical seaside of the Netherlands.

What a pleasant little gem in Bergen (NH) The Netherlands. This boutique hotel clearly exceeded our expectations in all aspects which started with a very warm welome by Minja. Wood fire burning and a glass of wine served upon arrival along with Bergense 'Apple Crumble'. Where do you find this nowadays - a place where comforting guests is the main objective! There is a well stocked 'honesty bar' and if there is any drink not listed - it will be taken care of by the staff. The rooms are not too big but more than comfortable and have everything you need. The Villa is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and equipped with all sorts of comfort. The breakfast is just - superb - served by Astrid - along with a very friendly smile and 'South African' chat - as I was traveling with my South African partner to this stunning place. While I travel around the globe all year long - Villa Kranenbergh is the perfect example of a 'small gem' almost 'around the corner'.... We definitely will go back again.
The villa is very well located when going for a stroll to the village or for a bite at night at one of the many restaurants & bars Bergen has to offer. The staff at the Villa will be able to make recommendations. Bergen aan Zee is just a small bike or car ride away and will take you through the forest surrounding Bergen . We had a great stay !!

This brand new boutique hotel in Bergen (NH), The Netherlands, is off the scale! Never have set foot in such a delightful hotel in The Netherlands.
This 8-room boutique hotel has been totally rebuild in 2017-2018 and now offers stunning rooms, great ensuite bathrooms and amazingly comfortable living for all guests. Also suited for meetings; it has a well-equipped meetingroom for up to 12-14 people.
Booked the room on the website (just enter 'villakranenbergh' and 'bergen' in Google). Very clean and classy rooms. Fine dining nearby. Ask staff for recommendations and be surprised!
This boutique hotel should be on everyone's shortlist when travelling to The Netherlands.
10/10! Go there.

We went to the 2. Mal in Villa Kranenbergh and it really made us
again very well liked.
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, great garden as well as very tastefully decorated.
Wormwood drops are the very small rooms, especially the rooms
on the 2nd floor with the pitched roof.
If you're taller than 185 cm here, it gets really critical.
We will certainly come back, but then with a Booking Referral
in 1. Floor.
