This kind of place makes you happy. Art is always present and Karamea is peaceful and welcoming. This backpacker has something of very particular. That's easy to meet people there and staying in Rongo could be the ideal place to have a break.

Rongo is a destination in itself with a good 'vibe', and plenty of information and help for whatever you want to do. Usual backpacker facilities plus a few rooms - an interesting town and area that justifies spending a few days rather than just passing...More
