We stayed at the wonderful Adults only resort and loved every minute of it. A small resort 24 rooms. Rooms are spacious, staff are cheerful and helpful and the resort is a great place to relax and unwind.
As first timers to Raro we were suitably impressed to want to come back and would definitely stay here again. This is an adult only venue so no unruly kids running round and screaming which is bliss. Our room 710 overlooked the lagoon was suitably equipped and on arrival everything was explained to us. The room was comfortable, clean and welcoming. The staff attend to your needs and make the stay very enjoyable. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed as required..which is good if you need to take 3 showers a day. Breakfast was included for us and a good selection available however a more English breakfast was available at extra cost if needed. There is a bar which does daily specials and cocktails however doesn't sell cider at all which being unable to drink beer was a problem but not insurmountable given there is a liquor store 100m across the road. The location is excellent and if needed car and bike rentals are available. We decided walking and public transport was a better option and fitted in better with island life. It's only $5 for a single or 8 for a return and in effect this will get you all round the island. If you are here for longer it would pay to get a book of tickets which reduces the costs of the bus even more. Location as mentioned is excellent and between 2 good beaches although the beach closest to the complex is quite rough but a short walk away and you are sorted. There are plenty of places to eat and drink close by, either a short walk or drive away. Adventure sports...snorkelling and kayaking are available free of charge and also there are washing and drying facilities for a small cost. Downside is there is no free wifi but this seems to be across the island. This is Raro not a built up town or city. We got 1gb for $10 which if you go carefully and check email and web news for example rather than try and download movies will last you several days. There is no entertainment or party night but this is an adult resort so may not be suitable. We got by with our lpod mp3 player (other types are available) and played it via bluetooth to the music machine in the room so was more than adequate. Thank you to the staff...especially the young and very efficient Polish girl...who made our first time stay. We hope to come on back in the future and know where to stay should that opportunity arise. Not a negative but just advice...bring mozzie repellent and bite cream with you which although we used it were severely bitten.…
We have been to raro several times, last time we were married here 9 years ago. Raro hasnt changed and neither has the wonderful hospitality. Moana Sands has caught exactly what coming to Raro is all about. The rooms are lovely, the service is genuine and the food is fresh. The property is beautifully nestled between Muri and Tikitaveka beaches, perfect spots for relaxing and snorkling. I seriously cannot fault the property and the wonderful service. They are the reason why so many come back to experience the raro way of life, see you again soon!
We had room 712 It was awesome! right on the beach and full access to pool and kayaks. The resort is super chill and there was only 4 rooms full out of the 24 when we were there in January. The staff is super friendly especially my little friend from Poland who works the front desk! The restaurant on the property is actually not owned by the resort. The food was just o.k in my opinion there are better on the island but that is part of my other reviews! I would highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a newer place to stay!
Great location and had a few massage onsite. Best masseur was Evi. One of the best massages that I’ve had in a while. Totally recommend. The rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was in the Laguna restaurant on site. Managed separate from the actual hotel. Gluten free options are limited do, I’d brought along my own cereal. Patrick, one of the chefs was amazing and went out of his way to make me muffins. He also did a fantastic gluten free fish and chips.
