My husband and I recently stayed at Te Manava and absolutely loved it. Infact, so much so, that we found it hard to leave. The Concierge, Gardeners, Cleaners and Spa staff were so kind and friendly and treated us as though we were one of their family. The facilities were clean, quiet, safe and well worth the 5-star review. Beach access and amenities were within 1 min walk from our unit and every day we stayed, we felt like we were in paradise. Te Manava provided access to a sister property for bar and restaurant meals, but if you didn’t feel like going out, Te Manava is handy to a local store, which also sells alcohol, and a fish n chip shop. The rooms are beautiful. The Heat/Cool pump works perfectly and keeps you lovely and cool on the warm days. We felt very safe - well off the street and you have two locked doors within the unit for additional safety. In saying that though, we never felt unsafe at all. It only takes 10 mins to go out and explore on a flat road. Everything is very handy to Te Manava's location on Muri Beach. We would gladly stay at Te Manava again and highly recommend it to other travellers!!

This is truly a slice of heaven on earth! My husband and I booked a beachfront villa with a private plunge pool, full kitchen and many other amenities. It was stunningly beautiful, quiet and relaxing! The staff were welcoming and attentive to our every need. Great location on Muri Beach with amazing views and sunrises! As an added bonus, we were able to access the Pacific Resort Rarotonga facilities as well. Highly recommended. Although this was considered the low/rainy season, we were only "rained out" for 1 of our 8 days here--very lucky with the weather! The water was bathwater warm and the lagoon is calm and safe for snorkeling. Highly recommended!!

Arrived from Sydney early in the morning. So when we arrived and informed our villa was not available this came at no surprise. We were allowed to use the facilities at the pacific resort until the vial was ready.
When we were transfers back to our room we were so pleased with it. Private enclosed pool and court yard which led to a kitchen diner area with everything you needed washer/dryer , fridge, hob, microwave , and all the pans and utensil’s. A welcome pack of milk etc would have enhanced this although there were coffee pods.
The sleeping /lounge area of the open room was spacious as well as the shower room. All to a good specification and comfortable.
There’s a path that led through to a lovely beach although the waters too shallow to bathe in. There is across the not so busy main road a small supermarket to get essentials like wine. Also a Vietnamese street food outlet and in the mornings a coffee station that makes a good brew.
We really enjoyed our time there in comfort and appreciated being always in clean clothing.

What can I say about Te Manava? The staff is very kind, friendly, and always available. The rooms are beautiful and spotless. We really appreciated the equipped kitchen. There is on-demand car service to the Pacific resort. The staff at Pacific are exceptional. The bar staff were also lovely and helpful. We were warned the tap water is not good for drinking but they have filtered water dispensers. We highly recommend it

We were impressed with this place. Each villa is self contained, so we were able to eat some meals at home; and each villa had it's own pool - which was perfect as the weather is very warm in December! the units have aircon and ceiling fans, plus laundry facilities. Front of house staff were friendly and checked in with everyone before finishing up for the day. We would stay here again.

Great location, villas are lovely and clean and have everything you need, staff friendly, helpful and hospitable, close to great snorkeling, bars, cafes, restaurants, shops. We had a group of 25 and it worked well as we had privacy but also enough space in one of the villas for the adults and another villa for the teenagers. Also a bonus that they are associated with Pacific Resort just down the road so you can charge up food and drinks to your room when staying at Te Manava.

Te Manava really has it all. Spacious, comfy beds, great wifi, lovely staff plus all the usual comforts of home.
Our family of 4 booked a 2 bed Ultimate Pool Villa. Both bedrooms were very spacious and would suit families as well as 2 couples travelling together. The main has the ensuite (with laundry) and the second bedroom is right next to the second bathroom which you could then close off making it really private.
Having our own pool was such a luxury.
Te Manava also provided snorkels and flippers and you could access bicycles, reef shoes and some sand toys plus kayaks.
Use of the Pacific Resort’s facilities was an added bonus and you can charge back to your room from there also.
There is a small bottle shop and convenience across the road, a pub and the most amazing Vietnamese at Saigon Shack. Muri night markets are an easy 15 min walk up the road (although you can arrange a free lift there through the concierge) as well as an ATM and a 24 hour convenience store.
We really enjoyed our stay at Te Manava and highly recommend staying here.

Our family of 5 stayed for 8 nights in the Presidential Villa at Te Manava in July 2021. Our Villa was spacious and comfortable. The inner courtyard was beautifully planted & maintained and was such a pleasure to be in. Inside there are two very large and spacious bedrooms. The upstairs Master has a large en suite with both a rain shower and a tub with a view of the lagoon. Downstairs you have a large bedroom and one smaller bedroom that our teen used. These share a large bathroom. The bed in that smaller bedroom wasn't as comfortable as the other two large beds, but it was fine for a teen or child. Te Manava provides snorkel masks and kayaks for you to explore Muri lagoon, which we utilised daily. Our private pool was large, clean, and the temperature was perfect for us. The villa also has a nice covered outdoor dining BBQ area that we also took advantage of. The staff were friendly and on hand when needed. There is no free wifi and limited TV offerings, but we didn't come for wifi & TV. We came for the sun & sand, the fresh daily coconut water, the sound of the breeze through the palm trees. It was comfortable and clean. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I, and our friends shared a 2 bedroom villa (#7) for 5 nights. It was everything we'd hoped it would be. The staff are exceptional - always pleasant and willing to help in any way they can. We used the 'shuttle' to and from the pacific resort several times and never had to wait for more than a few minutes. The private pool in the villa made the stay so relaxing and everything about the villa was very private. A couple of suggestions (not criticisms) - my wife would have appreciated a full length mirror in the room (the only mirror was in the bathroom, and was high up for her). For me, the electric plugs were behind the bedside tables and it was difficult for us to plug things in. Some notes about Rarotonga in general. It's beautiful, relaxed and operates on 'island time'. Nobody rushes anywhere. However, there were some inconveniences. Our American credit/debit cards were effectively unusable. When we tried them, the transmission timed out before the transaction could be completed. Fortunately we took enough cash with us. One shop even told us that they didn't accept American credit cards. There are a lot of stray dogs. The ones we came across were either friendly or disinterested in us. I was told that the Cook Island government is dealing with the problem. Muri lagoon is amazing, but if you walk across to the island, try to avoid high tide if you can't swim. It's still possible, but a little unnerving if you are short. We would recommend the Mai'i Kitchen across the road for an evening's food, drink and string band entertainment - we had a couple of great evenings there.

Room Tip:Â The Night Market is not a 'general' market, but just food stalls. Good food at a good price though.

The area is superb for snorkelling either direct from the beaches or by the various boat trips which take you out closer to the surrounding reef. As a novice I went on of the boat trips organised by one of the resorts - I found it absolutely amazing just like a documentary unfolding around me.
