We spent two nights in the Hideaway chalet and it was exactly as presented in the photos on the website. In fact, I’d go as far as saying that it was better than expected! The chalet is set right in the bush near the bottom of the property and is totally private – so much so that we didn’t close the blinds during our entire stay.
Walking through the front door, we were greeted with a large living area and kitchen on the top floor, leading out to a deck. The kitchen was very well-equipped, with more than enough cookware and utensils to allow us to cook up a storm. No matter where we were, there were views out the picture windows to the surrounding bushland. We spent the day watching the light changing on the trees and observing the many birds that made a visit.
Navigating the beautiful carved wooden stairs down to the bedroom area required a little care, but was oh so worth it. My first response was WOW! We were surrounded by trees as we lay in bed – and as we were there during full moon, the moonlight made for fabulous viewing. The big spa bath and enormous double shower were absolute luxury.
There was no shortage of extra touches to keep us happy – from candles and bathrobes to a coffee grinder.
Karissa & Pete, owners of Ecoasis are super friendly. From the first contact, nothing was too much trouble. They obviously enjoy what they do and it shows.
We look forward to returning. The biggest challenge will be whether to stay in the same chalet or to try something different.

I recently organised a small corporate retreat at ecOasis. The venue is the perfect setting for an inspiring planning day. The two bedroom spa chalet had plenty of room for our team of 8 to setup boardroom style and to sit out on the spacious deck during breaks. The owners were exceptionally helpful and attentive and we enlisted the catering skills of Karissa aka Have a Ball Event Catering for a healthy and delicious conference package. Couldn't fault this venue and menu for a corporate getaway.

Nestled in the Forest behind Uki this Hidden Gem presents panoramic views of Mount Warning. It is peaceful and quiet with Forest sounds of Birds.
The Cabins are two story with Living Area on one level and Bedroom and Toilet on another. It is very well equipped with all the necessary gadgets to prepare meals etc. we ordered the prepared meals for dinner and they come in a Slow Cooker ready to serve hot and delicious. Breakfast is provided for self preparation and included eggs, bread, cereal, milk, Fruit Juice, and lots more.
The Hinterland makes for a very pleasant drive to areas like Clarrie Hall Dam and Hikeing, to fascinating places like Nimbin and out of the way places like Hanging Rock Falls.
Video TV with a large stock of Videos is available but no Free to air TV in our unit but I believe it is in others of the six Cabins.
We have already booked for another relaxing three days in the mountains.

We had three stays here. At first we thought the price was expensive but worth a try. Since then the Prices have gone through the roof and the things we overlooked before became annoying.
The Bed is only a Queen Size where others in the area offer Kingsize.
Car Accommodation does not have Undercover protection.
Steps within the Dual Level buildings are dangerous because they go around a sharp bend with little light at night. You could accidentally fall down the steps at night walking to the Toilet, if you veered a little to the right. They have to be negotiated many times per day as the Bedroom and Bathroom are on on level and the Living area on another.
Spa is useless as there is a sign to not waste Water and the Guilt of using the Spar makes it a waste of time.
We contracted in March for $325 per night to stay in June. The stay supposedly was a good price because we as usual opted for no school holidays and mid week, to get a better deal. When we arrived we found the price had gone to $395.

Dear George, Im sorry to hear about your experience. We are new owners now since December 2021. We love the Chalets so much we invested in this beautiful property and are having he honour and privilege of redesigning the interiors to reflect our ethos. of living in harmony and reciprocity with our environment and the natural world. We endeavour to create a truely eco experience from start to finish - good for the earth, good for our body , good for all. This includes collaborating with local community artists, designers, craft makers, carpenters to design our furnishings and decor from local sustainable resources. Our outcome is to redesign each interior as a "Living Gallery" that show cases the art of living naturally , inspired by beauty, love and consciousness. I am an artist at heart and the shire hosts exceptionally talented people. So far our Range view Chalet is a Gallery for Warren J Fox, Photography Exhibition. Our Kitchen ceramics come from Suvira Mc Donald, master Potter. Our Coffee is from Uki Post Office / Roast house, Bastion Lane. ( yes thats right folks, Premium Espresso beans and grinder in your Chalet!) Plus a traditional Gond fu Cha Chinese tea ceremony set can be ordered with premium oolong tea samples. We invested in our own linen range made from sustainably farms Eucalyptus pulp. Like bamboo but far more ecologically its the fastest drying fabric making it ecological to wash and dry on-sight in our rain water and sun. Our cleaning ;products are form a small Eco company called Tri Nature. Your dish washing liquid, spray and wipe and look cleaner are in your chalet to try it out. And everything we are showcasing in your chalet is available for sale in our online shop or onsite retail outlet due to open March 2023. We believe the living gallery is the best way to educate folks on truely eco living - through experiences that inspire us to make little changes that have lasting impacts. This is just the beginning. we hope you will come back and be re-inspired.

My partner and I came to Ecoasis for a couple of nights and as soon as we arrived, we wished we had booked for longer. Understandably, they are very popular so we were unable to extend our stay, but will definitely visit again.
We spent a few nights at Byron Bay to get some beach days in, before heading into Tweed Heads, which was only around a half an hour drive for us.
We stayed in the Hideaway chalet, which is tucked down the valley where you're surrounded by the trees. It was so stunning and felt like we were the only people there. The chalet itself has a great layout, really interesting and well thought out. It feels luxurious and remote and has everything you need for a brilliant stay.
Our hosts gave us a lot of great information about local walks, the best mountain viewpoints, and where we might go for lunches and some coffee and cake. Uki pub really is a great place for lunch.
The whole area of Tweed Heads has so much for you to do during the day that you'll love going back to the chalet to wind down and be in your own little bubble again. It's a great place for a romantic trip, with no phone network, you can just enjoy each other's company and surroundings.
I can't wait to visit again, for longer next time, and can't recommend it enough.
Thanks for a really great trip, see you again soon.

We stayed for 8 nights at the Morning Mist, what a sensational experience it was!
Cabin was fully equipped with everything we could possibly wished for, designed like a luxury tree house. very clean and specious large windows and doors all around the cabin leading to peaceful and relaxed balconies, overlooking the lushed greens.
The place is a bit isolated and quite a long drive from Byron but once we got there and discovered the small towns around us with small boutique cafés and shops short drive to beautiful beaches we realized that's the best area to be.
Will definitely stay there again

We stayed in the Morning Mist Chalet for 2 nights recently and we enjoyed every moment! It redefines relaxing - an absolute perfect place to recharge and chill out. The views from the balconies are breathtaking especially watching the sunset over Mt Warning! Carissa was so welcoming and provided us with great local coffee and restaurant tips. The kitchen is well equipped, would recommend buying supplies before you arrive. A standout is the huge claw foot spa bath and double shower. Cannot fault this magical oasis! Thank you so much Peter and Carissa.

Had to travel and stay a while for work so booked in at ecOasis for 11 nights. The chalet was so private and peaceful, not to mention the amazing beauty of the Northern Rivers rainforest. Even though I had to work I came home feeling as refreshed as if I had had a holiday. The hosts Peter and Carissa a lovely people and nothing was a trouble to them. Highly recommended. Just be aware that there was no reception for anything (including TV) in the Villa we stayed in but up at reception there was plenty of coverage, not a problem for us as we were in an office in Murwillumbah most days working. So if you need to get online take a glass of wine up to the reception area and sit outside looking over the magnificent Mt Warning while you check your emails. They have a good selection of DVDs available for those who like to watch a bit of TV. It is about a 20 minute drive into Murwillumbah but the beautiful little village of UKI is very handy with awesome coffee at the post office and the Mount Warning Hotel is friendly and does a great pub feed. Great place to stay!!

Couldn't have wanted anything more from our stay it was amazing we didn't want to leave. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and the lamb shank dinner we ordered was top notch. We visited Hells Hole at Mt Jerusalem recommend to us when we arrived and it was such a lovely place to go spend the morning less then 30mins from the accommodation then roughly a relaxed 30/40 min walk along Mid ridge trail. Definitely worth taking a towel and swimmers for a dip before heading back to the car.
