I had a solo trip to the woods of Lushoto during the Easter break. My plan was to go hiking into the Magamba forest as well as hiking to see the Famous Kisasa waterfalls. I stayed here for three nights. It has such a beautiful scenery, Very budget friendly oh plus it comes with free breakfast. Had Zucchini soup though there is a couple of breakfast choices. The room had a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Aileen was very helpful made my stay smooth. Also, it is very close to the city center. I would definitely stay here again If I'm ever in Lushoto.

This place is in midst of green nature with nice views! Beautiful garden, clean rooms with what you basically need. Not too big but sufficient. The area of the valley and viewpoints is just out of the door. The only bad thing is communication via FB (no answer) or telephone (not working). No webpage available. So to do a booking is difficult... Hope the hotel will reply how it can work.

We visited there with Friends & Family, on trip to Lushoto. The Lodge has some rooms, big and small, in reasonable budget/cost. It has a nice small garden and a good view to click photos.

However, Food availability is not that good, and you have to do alternative arrangements for food.

Tea and Bread can be available with Cheese for Morning breakfast.

WiFI Internet can be available on request.

Overall, nice place for Short stays.

Location is good near to view points.

We had a large double room with private bathroom which had hot water. The wifi worked fine and even worked from our room. The location is great as it is only a 5 - 10 minute walk to the centre. it is a bit of a hike from the new temporary bus station. The food and beer are reasonably priced. We had 2 meals here. We ordered the same thing both times. One time it was excellent and was served in 45 minutes. The next time it took 2 hours to cook and it was not near as tasty. We did ask for a meal at a specific time and the first time it was available at the time we requested it. The second time it took a long time to prepare. The staff are very helpful although not all speak English.

The room behind the kitchen area can be a bit noisy as the kitchen staff are preparing meals and the TV which is located here is also a bit loud so ask for a rooom away from the kitchen/bar area.

I visited this place on our way to Mazinde juu. The hotel has a very nice and beautiful view. Our one night stay was amazing. Friendly staff, Free Internet facility (WI-FI). The rooms are neat and clean with hot water shower. A home away from home with peaceful environment.

Very nice and clean hotel/lodge. Friendly staff and good value! Beautiful view from terrace and also good food. Rooms with hot water, mosquito-nets, free wifi, situated in a peaceful area. Next to Crdb-bank, also convenient. They even want to prepare a very early breakfast, because I've to catch a bus at 6 in the morning.
Highly recommended!

We stayed there for one day and night. The lodge is at good location in Lushoto with market and Irente View nearby. The rooms are good, equipped with TV, and mosquito nets with attached washrooms and are clean.

There are a lot of mosquitoes there due to open area, so, better sleep in mosquito nets provided. As it is somewhat hilly area, there is no need of fan or AC.

Washrooms are good and has facility for hot and cold water, but sometimes, water may come muddy initially.

Service staff is small in numbers, but co-operative and helping.

Overall, you can have a good stay.

Vegetarian food items are rare there, so, you can have your own arrangement for that

We stayed at Kakakuona on the night before and the night after our 5 day hike around the Usambara mountains. The lodge is a 5-10minute walk from the centre of Lushoto, but that's refreshing as it means it's quite peaceful and quiet. The staff don't speak the best english ever but they are helpful and attentive. The food is not the best at the lodge, so I would recommend going into Lushoto to eat (even for breakfast). The rooms are decent though, and the bathroom is big. Sometimes the water is brown though (it may be due to tannins…) and the hot water takes forever to come on.

The water from tap and shower is brown. When reporting the problem to the staf, they say this is normal during rain season. No mosquito net although windows and door are not sealed.
Did not expect this kind of service for this price.
