Very nice view towards west in the evening and with sun set, from both room and the restaurant. The breakfast buffet and the evening meal (included in the prize) were good. One must watch up for a step in the restaurant area. It was nice with some local paintings on the walls in the hotel.

This hotel was booked for me as part of an Inlandsbanan trip from north to south.
The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the railway station.
As a solo traveller, I was given a small time room with a comfortable bed, good wifi, views of the lake, a small writing desk, in fact all that I needed.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The buffet breakfast had lots of choice.
This hotel was different, quirky, with rooms below reception, dining room above, many small quiet sitting area and interesting decor.
I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel.

A beautifully located hotel with stunning views over the lake.
Our room was clean & spacious with an amazing view. All the staff were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was included and offered a good selection of hot & cold buffet choices, there was also an evening meal included. If you fancied more a choice there was a menu available at an additional price. We chose this option and the food was very good. Free tea & coffee facilities were available at any time.
I would say some areas of the hotel were a little tatty in places, although some areas looked like they had recently been refurbished. The hotel was clean throughout.

An enigma. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our clean room overlooked the lake at the back rather than the main road at the front. Onsite car parking was conveniently adjacent to the entrance. The hotel is apparently, according to Reception, one of the eateries in the town - the town's main street has pizzerias, etc., but here's the enigma.
We decided to eat in having wandered around the town. The hotel's restaurant location has great, elevated views over the water and binoculars are even provided in the dining room. We were the only two to order (three others having ordered and eating) so it wasn't busy or crowded. The waitress came over with the menus and asked us to choose our meals and then go and order at the bar - why? Couldn't she return after a while, as they do in >99.9% of hotel restaurants, to take the order? An enigma. So, we did troop to the bar and order our meal but I'm sure the hotel is missing out on revenue if they can't be bothered to proactively try and up-sell or even sell more items let alone take meal orders at the table.
Never mind, it shows the relative strengths of catering in Vilhelmina and this is apparently one of the Vilhelmina eateries with, unsurprisingly, just a few people in it ....
