A large hotel in the middle of nowhere (chosen specifically for this feature) which allows you to enjoy a fantastic view of the mountains. Friendly and non-invasive staff. The reception, the bar, the restaurant are very well-kept, it almost seems like a luxury hotel (only the large windows should be cleaned more often), while on the upper floors (stairs, corridors, lift and rooms) there There is definitely less attention to detail and the common areas are certainly not cleaned every day.
-lift: there are grease machines on the walls and dust/dog hair on the floor
-corridor and stairs: balls of dust
Rooms: as you can see from the photos, the floor is the worst part (the surfaces of the furniture, although not brand new, are perfectly clean, not even a speck of dust, despite showing some signs of wear). In the corners and along the baseboard it has not been cleaned for a long time, the bathroom is neglected, with limescale encrustations, it smells of urine (the color of the stucco on the floor around the toilet is clearly visible which is evidently soaked in urine thanks to the men who do the needs standing) and in the toilet there were traces of feces, a few hairs here and there from the room's old guests... in short, the cleaning is summary to say the least, furthermore on the days of stay not even a broom is passed in the room as more and more hair from our dog accumulated every day. Furthermore, the bathroom is blind and has no ventilation fan. And the toilet paper holder is positioned in a position that is impossible to reach without contorting the toilet. Even the beautiful terrace of the room is unfortunately neglected.
Positive notes: the room (comfort) is large, brand new bed and bath linen, in the bathroom there is a very comfortable towel warmer (but also the one encrusted with limestone).
Breakfast: buffet, there is a wide choice for every taste
Dinner: little choice, if you happen to stay for a few days you will have to adapt to always choosing from the same dishes, and if you have difficult tastes...go and eat elsewhere.
However, we liked the food, right portions that allow you to be full without weighing you down, but....the service is very slow! I can't imagine what could happen in high season with a full hotel.
Cleanliness aside, overall the rating is positive, also based on the price paid.

Very interesting 1920s structure, elegantly modernized in the common areas, very simple rooms, I recommend a mat outside the shower and a few bidet towels in the bathroom. Excellent restaurant menu, for vegetarians, I would add something more to the main courses (maybe I ended up in the wrong week), excellent desserts, I would add more choice in the fruit. Breakfast nothing to say, wide choice. Very kind staff. Overall I recommend it, the view is fantastic.

The staff were excellent even under the pressure of a full house. The food was excellent, very tasty, highly recommended location to just rest or walk in the mountains and beautiful views of the Alps from the hotel terrace. 👍

Very particular hotel, being a former sanatorium from the 1930s. Good location for the beauty of the surrounding mountains and various directions that can be taken especially for two wheels with a nice dirt road nearby towards Colle di Fenestrelle.
Located in an optimal position to spend a weekend in the mountains, in the fresh air with more or less challenging walks with truly, truly satisfying views. In fact, the location is stunning! The rooms are minimal in furnishings but clean, except the bathroom, a more thorough cleaning is needed, especially in the corners of the tub and shower, there is no ventilation! large and very bright rooms with terrace! Soft, clean towels, great mattresses! Daily room cleaning. Indoor motorcycle parking, plenty for cars! Pets Allowed! Very welcoming reception staff!
The restaurant, which is almost indispensable due to the location of the hotel, almost seems like a canteen, which needs to be improved a lot, the same menu presented every evening we had dinner, without a price list, excellent cutlet, for the rest we have to be satisfied. Sometimes the waiters forget the dishes ordered.
Breakfast was very poor on 2 mornings, there was no croissant and there was always a queue for the cappuccino as the machine was very slow... at 9am everything from ham to orange juice was in short supply 🍊 it's not acceptable. A single waiter for the entire room also struggled to keep up with everything needed. Sometimes it wasn't even set for breakfast. In conclusion, I hope to return and find a hotel with optimized services!

Failed for cleanliness, the room had fingerprints on the windows and the bathroom was dirty, we asked the girl to give it a wipe but the situation didn't improve. The breakfast room was unpresentable, tables needed to be cleaned, products of very poor taste (undrinkable juice and inedible ham), plates and cutlery in insufficient quantities for the number of people, too little coffee, milk and cappuccino machine. the blame, however, must be placed on those who manage the hotel and not on the employees who show their face and go out of their way to try to give a semblance of service, but only one cleaning girl and only one person in charge of the breakfast room... they can't work miracles. It is advisable to increase the staff because this will affect the service offered, which is not sufficient. It's a shame because the place is worth it, it's a wonderful balcony overlooking the Chisone valley, it should be valorised

Second stay at the Hotel Pracatinat, unfortunately in high season, to which I fear some critical issues must be attributed.
Queues to access the restaurant, one evening almost 2 hours for dinner due to lack of staff. Problems with intermittent supply of food at breakfast, and a clear decrease in variety offered compared to my previous stay. Excellent evening dishes but none based on fish.
In the room the bathroom extractor did not work (I also heard from other customers with the same problem).
An unpleasant surprise at the final bill with chilled bottled drinking water costing 2 euros per bottle!
Located within the Orsiera Rocciavrè Regional Park, it does not offer any indication or any information material on the Park.
Friendly and helpful staff.
A good 2 stars. 3 is too many. 4 stars for the location.
I'm afraid I won't repeat the experience.

The Hotel in the countryside is very well organized. Courtesy and excellent professionalism of the staff. Each room has a view of the mountains opposite. Note of praise for the management of the bar, really great service of the bartenders and waiters, incredibly professional and very kind. As it was a business visit to return to the hotel and be able to have an aperitif or take a cutting board on the terrace with the quality of the best trendy places seemed incredible in a space surrounded by greenery, moreover at very affordable prices. International breakfast full of everything. We thank bartender Igor for the 5-star service. I hope to go back for a holiday and take some walks.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming or, as lovers of Englishisms would say, the customer care is excellent. We felt at home, which is the most important thing. The place is charming, surrounded by trees. You can enjoy a magnificent view from the room balconies, which makes you forget about everyday life. We found an excellent room, whose bathrooms are clearly showing the weight of age, but in which we managed to sleep like logs. Positive note for motorcyclists: you will find the possibility of parking indoors, but I advise you to inform the staff at the time of booking, so that they can organize in advance.

Just over an hour's drive from Turin, we find a building that has an almost centenary history, managed by professional, courteous and helpful staff.
I found the walks in the surrounding woods very pleasant, where nature (truly healthy and lush) will be able to give peace and regeneration to mind and body.
There are trails for beginners or expert walkers.
Rooms: excellent level of cleanliness, I recommend choosing a room including a terrace with a panoramic view
Food: sweet/savory food for breakfast for all palates, dinner with the possibility of alternatives for vegetarians, the staff in the dining room is very professional and courteous.
It is a structure that I would recommend for those who intend to spend their holidays in Val Chisone or for those who are passing through.
