Me and my friend stayed here for one night. We chose Coconuts as it looked to be a reasonable price and it had a nice infinity pool. The idea of having your own individual hut was also appealing.

When we arrived we were met by a very nice Indonesian man at reception and as it turns out the owner. He was very pleasant and chatted away. The Indonesian man checked us in quickly and took both our bags to our hut. We were very thankful for this as ours was right at the top, a lot of stairs with one heavy bag never mind two. But that's not a factor that the owner can control and so I don't know why people complain about this on their reviews.

The hut itself was basic but seemed clean enough. The mosquito net round the bed had seen better days. It had holes in it and the Velcro didn't stick to keep it shut and so I'd suggest bringing your own. The roofs are thatched and there were a number of holes round the edge and so the wee beasties and lizards will get in. I see a lot of reviews where people complain about the presence of lizards but to be honest, they get in the most secure rooms at times. They are the spiders of Asia, there's no keeping them out and so again, I don't know why people complain. They are harmless and have as much right to be there as you.

The bathroom wasn't very nice but had everything you need. The shower was ok. I was able to wash and the water didn't smell funny as suggested by others. If it did leave me smelling of faeces then I most certainly wouldn't find myself in the pool trying to get rid of the stench as suggested by another reviewer!! How disgusting and selfish, everyone has to use that pool!

The pool was lovely and clean when we were there (I'm particularly funny about this) and so I was surprised to read reviews that said otherwise. The view is absolutely incredible and I'd advise getting yourself a beer and gazing over the edge. You get lost in a wee world and you relax as you take in the paradise that surrounds you.

The complimentary breakfast at the resort was ideal and we eat lunch and dinner there. The food is extremely cheap and we found it to be very tasty and freshly made. No 'Bali belly' at any point. The staff were lovely and very attentive. I cannot help but laugh when I read reviews where people complain about the staff not understanding English or not communicating in English well. Has it escaped your notice that these people are Indonesian and that English is not their first language? I can assure you that their English is probably better than your Indonesian which I expect most of you haven't bothered to learn. You're in a foreign country, respect that and be patient. If they got your order wrong then they are more than happy to fix the problem. The ignorance of people astounds me.

The house band were terrible, so terrible that they were actually very entertaining. Don't take it too seriously and it won't irritate the life out of you.

Generally some of the areas of the resort were a bit grubby and run down and it's not the cheapest option on the island but you do get an individual hut and outstanding views with a nice quiet pool. I find you get what you pay for and the price was probably aligned with the standard of the accommodation. If I went back to Lembongan I probably would opt to stay somewhere cheaper but I wouldn't entirely rule out the option of staying at Coconuts again. It's somewhere to rest your head, get a quick shower and to use as a base. It does the trick. If you're the laid back low maintenance type then you won't mind Coconuts. If you're high maintenance or have high expectations of accommodation that's relatively cheap then you shouldn't consider Coconuts as inevitably you will find something to complain about and be unhappy with your choice.

This place is run down and the rooms are very very average. Everything is outdated and although not dirty very musty and tired. We stayed in jv1 right at the top of probably 80ish stairs. The climb was only worth it for the view and privacy no one walked past. We came down for the omplimentary breakfast which was pancakez or eggs served with toast and fruit (not buffet but enough) then stayed by the pool for most of the day and really going back up to room if our son needed a rest or to go to be after dinner. The staff were friendly particularly the ladies at breakfast.
The funship passengerz arrived each day at one and we knew it was time when the band started sing the song "welcome to my parDise" there was reLly only one staff member that told them to get out of the hotel pool he was really on the ball about it. the view is outstanding and provides very easy access to playgrounds surf spot from a little beach about 50 metres and from there you can paddle across to lacerations. At the bottom of hotel along water/cliff edge there are a number of restaurants. Try lembongan reef for icy cold bintang and good quick meals. Awesome spot rubbish hotel. Staff were great and its definately not their fault the place is so run down. The owners need to renovate and soon.

We stayed here 4 nights of our 2 week trip to Bali. Stayed in 4 hotels total and this was the most disappointing. This was the one location and hotel I was looking forward to the most. Booking the reservation was easy with Andrew who I believe is the onsite manager but while we were there he happened to be away on business and I wonder if the staff acts differently when he is there.
Basically, the room is basic with no frills which is fine, but it could have been kept cleaner, the bathroom was basic and had a terrible smell. The view from the room was breathtaking looking over at Bali and Mt. Agung. Our biggest issue with the place was the service. The hotel definitely had enough staff but they just weren't working. They were sitting around talking to each other, on the phone, or just not being helpful. When we were at the pool nobody took a drink order and the bar/restaurant staff just did nothing. The pool area had food and empty bottles, etc. laying around that nobody picked up for hours until the next day. The front desk was not always staffed and guests would go for a question or help and nobody was there. They just all seemed lazy and unorganized unfortunately. The grounds were not kept as clean as they could have been for sure. The "day trippers" which have their own pool which is nice, but every day a few of them would come to the hotel guests pool to hang out and none of the staff would say or do anything about it. I really was hoping for more of a quiet time with them staying over at the other pool. One day as many as 8 of them were there on the hotel guests pool.
pros of the place: The band that played every day made it a fun atmosphere and enjoyable to be at the property. Food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. Happy hour was nice to smash a few Bintangs. They helped us book our boat back to mainland early because we had a long day of traveling that day. Smuggles bar was my favorite to start the evening for happy hour or just to hang out at.
Overall, I think their are better deals on the island and better places to stay. the individual huts are nice and the view is great but too many disappointing things happened on our stay.

Regarding the stairs and rooms: They all have good views. Higher up is only slightly better, we were in room 6 which is barely half way up the massive stairs and that was plenty. We are in good shape and we felt that being all the way at the top would be WAY too much when you have to make multiple trips up and down in a day.

I really hate to leave such a negative review but do not stay here. The photos do not represent what you will be receiving.

My partner and I booked for two nights and left early the first morning after a rough night.

The room itself is very very dirty. The sheets had dark, blood like stains and my pillow had a shoe print on it. The bathroom had not been cleaned so the toilet had remnants of the previous guest and the floor was covered in dirt.

We had a mosquito net but their were large holes throughout, offering little to no protection from a room otherwise filled with large mosquitos.

The property itself is dilapidated completely. The beach chairs were stained beyond belief and the entire property looked like something out of a post apocalyptic movie.

The very few staff were of course sooo lovely but they had no record of our booking made on Agoda because they didn’t have sufficient communication with management.

After leaving the property, we spoke to a few locals on the island regarding Coconut Beach- they shared that it was once the best place to stay, but since a management change, it has become one of the worst.

Hopefully someone comes in to help bring this place back to life because it has so much potential and is an amazing location. Until then, don’t stay here.

This was our 3rd trip to Lembongan Island. Both times before, we had gone for the day trip but, wished that we had brought an overnight bag, because we didn't want to leave.
This trip I made a 2 night reservation at Coconuts Resort. It wasn't long enough. The rooms are amazing! Spectacular panaramic view! The rooms are all round, and completly glassed in, in the front. They are terraced in a way that seems to let each one have a view. They are just so cute. The king size bed has a cream color canopy around it, and so did the couch/twin bed that my son slept on. He liked the privacy that seemed to give him. It was very new and clean looking.
We found the free breakfast to be very good, and actualy ate all of our meals at the reastraunt or the pool. I have never been sucba diving in a beter place, and I have been diving in a lot of places. It was just a wonderful treat especialy after spending a few days in Kuta.
There is no TV. They do show movies somewhere at night, if you get tired of looking at the stars, and volcano across the bay. We paid the extra US $10 for the airconditioned room. We paid $80 per night for the 3 of us for the additional nights. The other rooms looked wide open - as in open air - no glass in the window. The ride there was a bit rough if you tend to get sea sick. But so worth it! I brought home brochures to pass out to all of my friends and am allready planning my next visit.

We spent two nights at Coconuts in March and it wasnt long enough! Fantastic cottages with thatched roof and spectacular views across the ocean to Bali. Great service, great drinks, great food. Horizon pool to laze away the afternoon. Divine Bali massages. Everything in the resort was very cheap we stayed for 3 days and ate all our meals, all drinks & a massage for $90 australian per person ! I would recommend the air con rooms as the open rooms are gorgeous but not very secure - only have canvas screens on the windows & door - also if you tend to get seasick go over on the flyer - it is open air & just skips over the top of any waves. Also be aware that you may have to climb a fair few steps to get to your room - try requesting one of the lower cottages. Out time at Coconuts was the most relaxing 3 days I have ever spent - I cant say enough good things about it!!!! Dont miss it!!!!!!!!!!

Three friends and myself booked this hotel back in April, as the travel agent recommended it.

For our five-night stay we were very disappointed to find that the room had a mouldy roof, rusty and grimy bathrooms and very old, faded furniture.

This hotel may have been good back 20 years ago but now it is muddled with problems.

The staff are friendly enough but at times really show how lazy they are. One lunch time they refused us Room Service because it was apparently too busy. This problem was later resolved once we contacted the manager of the hotel.

The food at the in-house restaurant is cheap and is not too bad.

Avoid staying here if you are one of the following: couples, friends, alone, human.

I have been to Lembongan a number of times in the last 12 years. The first time I stayed at Coconut Beach was in that year. Although Lembongan was not as developed as current, the resort was an absolute disgrace regarding service, maintenance and food.
Just last week I spent three nights there. The only reason I decided Coconut was because all other places were booked out. I do frequently go to the island as I am renovating my own villa.
Well let me tell you, if I thought 2004 was bad, this time it put a new definition to BAD. The place is a disgrace. It's dirty, the staff are lazy and incompetent and clearly there is no management. If there is then he or she should be terminated immediately. It is one of the most expensive villas you stay at. Towels not changed, air conditioning not working, no bed spreads, bathroom and toilets need a lot to be desired. I do believe that the owners are from Australia. I suggest to them to take more notice of the reviews and do something about it. Either that or get out of the business. I strongly recommend to anyone, stay away from Coconut Beach Resort unless you want you holiday in paradise spoiled.

Just spent 5 nights there .staff great view fantastic.Well Mr Ron the owner you
Should be ashamed of yourself. How can you possibly call yourself a tourist operator as you are clearly a thief.Who cares what it cost per night it was disgraceful in every way and you don't deserve to operate in such a beautifull environment .My 4th visit and previous accommodation was wonderful but more to the point was run by people who care about their offer.Old is ok but not to be able to provide basic amenities that people have worked so hard to save all year to enjoy.
this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but I just hope that you sell it to someone who will invest as opposed to lining his own pockets. As for everything else at Lembongan outside of Coconuts was wonderful as ever and best surfing I have had there.
