This hotel has a lot to offer. The location is fantastic right on the beach. The pool is large and well maintained. Secure underground parking a big plus. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The attached restaurant is a nice place to enjoy your dinner with great food and efficient and friendly service (they replaced my wine for free after a fly landed into it), but can be a bit pricey ($ 15 for desert, $ 18 for drinks).

The room was small but comfortable and had everything I needed. Nice to have a balcony with a bit of ocean view, even on the first floor. There where some maintenance issues, though. The cover from the outside light was missing. The bed was comfortable but on the day i left I discovered a *nasty* stain in the mattress and I wouldn't have slept there if I would have found this earlier. Some mold in the bathroom. There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom.

Overall a nice experience, but maintenance needs to pay a bit more attention. For the money the room should be perfect.

I have rated the whole complex as very good. I would rate the actual Restaurant & Bar overall an average. Having the restaurant & bar on the ground floor of the Resort & adjacent to the pool area is terrific. It is however quite expensive & some of the staff could be friendlier and a little bit more eager to serve the clientele. I did not realise it was a separate business owner to the Ramada Resort until recently. On the 04/05/2021 our pasta's were a good serving for the price & delicious. On the 20/05/2021 I ordered main course pasta of the day which was delicious, BUT, I got a plate of 5 Tortellini with some sauce for $32.00. It would barely have passed for an entree. I bought it to the attention of the staff 3 times about the serving size. The waitress mentioned that I was not the only one to complain about the size of the serving & she came back to me with the Chef's response, and wait for it - "it's the experience of the pasta" ........ I was so hungry I had to order dessert & there was NO offer of a reduced dessert cost or complimentary drink. On another note, there needs to be more seating in the pool area as the few that are there get taken quickly.

Stayed in a pie shaped hotel room for 1 night. This room had no privacy, was very small and smelt. It was not as described on the website. NO Space and very small, not even enough room for our suitcases to be open or 2 seats for us to sit on in the room. Balcony did have 2 chairs and table but was in full sun. Definitely not as pictured on website. view was good though! Moved to 1 bed apartment which was very comfortable and great. Don't book a hotel room. We'd stay again but only in an apartment. Restaurant was good, pool area great- Ramada - provide a pool key per keyset issued to guests.

Dear Travelnmel, Thank you for providing feedback on your recent stay. We do our best to provide an accurate room description and photos for our room types across all booking channels. Many of our guests enjoy staying in our Hotel style rooms. If you are staying for a longer period and require more space than a Hotel Room you will certainly find our larger apartments with full kitchen facilities more comfortable. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind Regards, Damien Larkin General Manager

Found my hotel accommodation extremely good with a lovely view over the Remada's attractive swimming pool and Marcoola Beach. My room was clean and decor very acceptable, and there was a drawer with wine glasses, cups, cutlery and plates in the room. Very comfortable bed and very good bathroom with a strong shower. The staff were always accessible and were helpful and willing to help with enquiries. The Remada doesn't have a restaurant and there wasn't much in the way of eateries or shops across the main road from the hotel, and I found this part of Marcoola is not a place to walk amongst the shops or enjoy a coffee. However, on the other hand, the hotel grounds, pool and lawn area of the Ramada facing the beach are well maintained and I found it very pleasurable to spend time there. It is only a few steps then to a fabulous clean sandy beach, and you can walk for long distances on the sand both North and south away from any distractions or traffic with hardly a soul around. Just the constant sound of the waves washing up on the sand.

I am lucky enough to have spent time here during 2021. There are no roads to cross to get to the beach, which is patrolled all year round. There are enough small stores across the road to keep you going however the onsite restaurant serves good generous pub meals. There resort is on a cycle/walking trail that runs about 80km from Caloundra to Tewantin. There are stunning views from the summit of Mt Coolum which is only about 6km north. From here you often see whales out to sea from July to October. There is a supermarket about 3km south west as well as extra shops and a pub (North Shore Tavern, great Sunday breakfasts) Marcoola surf club is about 2km north, an easy walk up the beach. The restaurant and bar are open Tues-Sun.
The resort itself has a large heated pool which is kept crystal clear by staff. There is also a small onsite gym. Staff are helpful and informative.
This is my pick for the Sunshine Coast, which in turn is one of the best places in the world. Enjoy

This was our third visit to the Ramada, same week last year ands a few days mid winter. We booked again as we had such a wonderful experience last January and because my stuff up was easily corrected in August.
We had a room in tower 1 on the top floor (1505A) and was very pleasantly surprised to find a private hot tub on the roof. We had a reasonable view of the ocean and it was very quiet.. The rooms were spotless and the beds VERY comfortable. The location is excellent with a 10 minute drive to the huge Sunshine Plaza and 30 minutes to Noosa.
The patrolled beach is at the back gate of the hotel and we walked it every day. Coming from a smokey Canberra we needed to clear furlongs.
There is a small shopping strip opposite the hotel.
Check in and check out was excellent with great staff on the desk.
Three very minor problems I reported. 1 - no sink plugs so very hard to wash dishes, 2 - water temperature tepid. 3 - we were meant to cover and start the hot tub after use but the straps are broken.
We will be back in July/August and probably the same week next year.

I've been here many times over the last ten years, with and without children

Location is excellent, right on the beach

Pool is good but gets cold - even now in the middle of summer it's not warm and it goes into the shadow of the hotel in the afternoon which makes it uncomfortable

For the price we paid ($375 per night for a two bed) I expected a lot more. The apartment is poorly equipped, not enough seats for four people and an old disused BBQ which doesn't work. No furniture at all on the roof space

Could have been so much better

Time of try one of the other Marcoola hotels I think

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks as a break after covid. We have been before so basically knew what to expect. Check in was easy but due to a slight mix up we were allocated an "unusual" room. Nothing wrong with the room, just its location. I checked with the manager and he was able to change our location to a room we had previously used. Excellent customer service. WE used the pool almost daily, the restaurant several times (very covid safe) and great to see them checking covid vaccinations. At my wife encouragement I used the gym twice mainly during the terrible SE Queensland storms when you could do nothing else!
The rooms were bright and airy, very clean and all equipment in working order.
One niggle was the location of the toilet roll holder - if anyone could have designed a worse place to install it they could be admitted to the insane asylum!. Every time you touched it the roll would come off the spindle and roll around the floor. Maybe something for maintainence to look at. A first world problem!
All in all I would really recommend this place and we have booked again for December, and March next year. Thank you Damian and Ayush for your help.

We stayed in an ocean view hotel room. Position and view were great and that is where the positives stopped. Our towels had black dirty marks on them and very luke warm water after 10.30pm. We reported soiled towels to reception staff the next morning they didn’t seemed too concerned and said that was “bad” but we could pick up a couple of fresh towels on our return to the hotel. No offer of delivering the towels to the room. When we did return in the afternoon the staff were much more concerned and took a copy of my picture of the dirty towels and said that they would let the cleaning company and cleaning staff know which at least made us feel they were taking our complaint seriously. Rooms are not very sound proof. We could clearly hear the conversations of the girls next door including profanities, giggling and coughing. Fortunately they went to bed at a reasonable hour but is added to the unpleasant feel of our stay. Furnishings in room and bathroom were old with some laminex cracked, peeling off and cupboard doors not closing properly. I would be very unlikely to stay in the hotel rooms again as it was definitely NOT value for money. Such a shame because location was great.

So we as a family was excited to go on our family holiday which we hadn't been able to do for quite sometime. We got to the resort to only find out that we can't leave our room due to covid snap lockdown. I am really disappointed that no one from owner service or the resort didn't contact us to tell us this would be happening as if we knew this in advanced we would of never of come but it was only the next day that we get a call saying that they want to confirm we checked in or not. Wasn't very happy. Asked if we would be able to get some compensation due to this situation and they said no. What a joke.

Before we could check in we went to the resorts bar and restaurant to only be disappointed with the food being either dry and either over or under cooked.

Finally our room was ready. As we walked into our apartment the lifts in the North tower smelt like cigarette smoke. Then as we entered our room it was nothing like the photos to be honest. When I booked the 3 bedroom apartment I was expecting aircon throughout which isn't the case. You really can't say its a 3 bedroom. It's the worst designed apartment as you can see in the pictures. Walls are dirty and tired looking. The roof vents in the bathrooms are full of dust and crap. The bedding is quite dated. I was under the impression the Levies we pay would keep these up to date and modern which isn't the case. We have stayed in alot of wyndham properties and love them all but this is the first time being at this one and would is a complete let down. The dryer is dusty and full of lint.

Won't be coming back to this resort ever again unless they do a hard renovation. Also the internet that they provided has a faster upload speed then download which I can't understand why as we continually had issues with the speed not being fast enough to watch a YouTube video. Probably the worst situation when you can't leave your room and they don't have a movie Channel to hire movies or quick internet connection to stream. You phone only gets 1 bar with Telstra due to the concrete construction and thick walls.

That period of the year is generally warmer and you will enjoy a good swim in the beaches, mind you there are a lot of beaches to chose from. Plenty of fun for a 5 year old.
