This resort is amazing for families or couples wanting to have an amazing stay with all amenities to suit your needs. There is a swimming pool with spa, a sauna, gym, half size basketball court and tennis court. Above all direct access to the beautiful beach with no travel or parking required. The staff are fantastic on site and happy to help when needed. The self contained apartments are spacious and homely. Highly recommended if staying at the Sunshine Coast, super close to the airport too.

Have been to this resort with my family for our annual Christmas holiday for some years. Always had a great time and enjoyed beautiful, well-kept accomodation. For our last trip (Jan 2021) there was a new manager and the resort was noticeably different. The new manager is perpetually annoyed and not very helpful, the room was dirty and the washing machine was full of mould. The last straw is that i discovered faeces in the pool. when i brought this to the manager's attention he was annoyed at me and did nothing until i basically threatened to lodge a complaint with the council. there were people still swimming in the pool for hours before he responded. Crying shame because we love it there and the kids always have a great time.

We booked a two bedroom apartment. On arrival, check-in went smoothly and receptionist was extrememly friendly and helpful. We got really lucky and were given a top floor apartment (124) - fantastic views and an extra rooftop balcony. We walked in and found our apartment extrememly clean and beyond our expectations. The kitchen was a full size kitchen with everything you would need to cook etc. with as well as a full size fridge and a dishwasher. The lounge area was good size with a big TV, DVD player and VCR. There was a huge dining table. The laundry was off the kitchen area and had a washing machine and clothes dryer. Then down a hallway the bedrooms were located. Second bedroom had two singles. Both rooms were a decent size. Bathroom had a bath/shower and toilet. Main bedroom had walk-through robe and ensuite with shower/toilet. Apartments are beachfront - about a half minute walk on a path through the sand dunes and the beach is beautiful. Apartment complex seemed secure - you need your keys to access everywhere. Swimming pool isn't huge but we stayed when the complex was full and when we went to swim there was hardly anyone around. There is also a full size tennis court, bbq's, a four hole putting green and a half basketball court. The airport is across the road but we didn't find the aircraft noise annoying. If you were planning to sightsee you would need a vehicle - e.g. Maroochydore is about 10-15 minutes away. We planned a relaxing getaway with our two kids (2 and 5) and we certainly had that.

Unit 10 although very roomy smelt like dogs lived in the room, it was an awful smell. Complained to the person on reception who was disinterested. I have taken photos of the dirt on the furniture, smears on microwave, fridge, mirrors etc. Went to coles and purchased cleaning products to clean floors and bring the standard to a liveable condition. Doona in the main bedroom also smelt like dogs. Drawers were dirty, some pillows in cupboard were old and yellow/stained, some pillowslips had not been washed. Broken furniture in 3rd bedroom cupboards. Floors not vacuumed and outside area, which was a lovely large area was extremely dirty. The surrounding gardens were lovely as was the outside atmosphere. Would not recommend staying in this Unit 10 which is a large 3 bedroom unit with a lot of potential if it was looked after and cleaned.

We booked unit 76 at the resort, which was a three bedroom apartment for 4 people travelling to play golf. There had been a mix up with the booking and my friend had clarified with the resort that the booking was for four people. On arrival the male person at reception was extremely aggressive when we explained we had been in email contact with the resort over the number of people checking in. He initially wanted to charge us extra but did back down when he reviewed the emails.

The room was dated but ok, however the outdoor furniture was unusable as it was broken. There was barely enough crockery for the four of us. The bed in the main bedroom was as hard as a rock while the second double bed is definitely in need of a new mattress.
To top things off, there was no wifi or streaming TV.

All in all I wouldn’t recommend this property.

My friend booked this unit as our friend is terminally ill and wanting to take him away with all of these reviews she thought it would be lovely. Only the best rooms are on their website, I guess its luck of the draw. The room we had stunk, no blankets, bugs In the bed! LITERALLY. We wanted to leave but were told that we couldn't get a refund until we said we will right a review on how you treat customers at this point she was basically saying its our fault, then waiting for refund on monday days after the fact (but when she said it would be in) then Wednesday still no return, not answering calls, getting staff to lie to us then eventually when she answer I demanded a receipt she had just done it, but the money is on hold so she still hasn't completed transferred I am waiting on $438 to hit me account. when I finally got hold of her MANAGERS response was "you live on the Gold Coast, what are you going to do, you won't drive here" Mind blown completely. That one star is for location, even that wasn't worth the disrespect we got shown.

Marcoola Beach Resort is a wonderful place for a family stay. The lovely manicured gardens and lawns, very close access to the beach, offering ocean views, with all the facilities you want, it's perfect! The premises are kept clean & tidy & management and staff are lovely, professional & willing to help make your stay enjoyable, very impressed & have enjoyed my family getaway. Thank you

The resort despite being repainted recently still has an aweful 80's peach colour!! Facilities are very tired and the gates that lead to the beach are left unlocked all night long allowing people to access the property at all hours if the night. We were woken up several times by early morning people returning home. The main areas are kept reasonably tidy but once you get into the stairwells and hallways they are very grotty. They claim this is a 4 star resort it's more like a 2-3 at best! I would recommend staying next door at either the Atlantis or mantra. Hotel managers are rude and don't really give a dam when you complain. Very poor customer service skills.

Thank you for the review even though it wasn't the most enjoyable break you could have had. At first the peach colour wasn't my favourite colour either however after taking over the complex I must say it has grown on me. We are sorry to hear your experience with the old management wasn't pleasant. We can assure you our approach is making sure everybody that stays with us leaves feeling relaxed and rejuvenated otherwise we haven't done our job. Looking at the reviews since taking over the feedback has thankfully confirmed that. We do hope you choose to stay with us again as we feel you will be pleasantly surprised.

Resort itself looked nice but weather not good enough to try out facilities. Our room had good quality furnishings and fittings. However, the room was very very dirty. Wouldn't recommend you stay here if you suffer from allergies like I do. Dust everywhere, carpet filthy, makeup stuck to ensuite cupboards etc. Such a pity as room itself was of decent quality. Very very disappointed. Try the Atlantis next door. Checked out a room in case we stay in that area again, and spotlessly clean.

Hi and thank you for taking the time to write a review. What a shame that the staff at the time let the resort down with poor quality work as I agree the resort itself is beautiful. We do hope you choose to stay with us again as I believe our current staff do an exceptional job of making sure everyone's room is cleaned properly. I as the owner/Manager also check all rooms before guests stay to make sure nothing has been missed. Thank you again and we hope to see you again.

This resort is just beautiful. We took our two young sons for 5 nights and its the perfect location for families. Lots of grassed areas to run around, lovely pool and the beach is very close. There is also a tennis court, small gym, internet access and basketball court plus BBQs.
2 bedroom apartment was very clean and quite large. Large balconly we had too. The only down fall is that there are no air con or fans in the bedrooms. Request a room in one of the towers though if you have alot of luggage so you can use the lift. We noticed only the main towers had lifts.

Definately would go again. Very quiet complex too. You can't hear the highway or the airplanes.
