Highly overrated and expensive. Bring your own coffee make as the “free” coffee in the lobby is not drinkable. The motel was “cleaned up “ aesthetically”, but is riddled with mould. My AC broke and the smell of mould was overwhelming… Not to mention that they keep the old HVAC units which are incredibly loud. If you want restful sleep this is not the place!! no storage for clothes or table for eating. Pool closes at 8pm regardless of how hot it is because of lack of staff and staff that is there was extremely inexperienced. Watch the Netflix show and see who they hired!! For the cost of 4 nights you can go to the carribean for an all inclusive week!!
They are only interested in having great instagram shots..
Ps.. June motel in Picton has no pool and charges just as much!!
Never written such a review about any motel, but this was a cash grab and not worth it

Not worth the money. I can’t imagine paying summer prices. Don’t do it! You can get an all inclusive week in Cuba for the same cost as one night here in the summer.

Rooms are tiny, lacking simple things like an actual coffee maker and a dresser. The bed is the hardest bed I have ever slept on in my life. I’m wondering if they even replaced the beds when they renovated the place.

The restaurant is cute but the quality of the food is subpar and prices are mental.

Best part about this hotel is the nice young lady in the motel office and the glass of rose you get on arrival. Otherwise. Hard pass.

As another writer commented JW Marriott Prices for motel six experience…
I think the June motel is a fantastic addition to Sauble - and there is so much potential to do well. We are frequent travellers and spend weekends at other upscale spots across Ontario And I will say this one is not a weekend I plan to repeat
The food at heydays was excellent no complaints! The service however did not stand behind it. When paying 80 for a bottle of wine And the server has no idea if it’s dry or smooth or sweet? All she could tell us was that they sell lots. Had to request a very small sample.

Ordered the french fries to go with the burgers and what came out were small ends that were likely late in the day emptying the fry basket. When asked if this was the norm, the server said they must’ve been made with small potatoes… really??? We were not offered a new order.

At 8:50 on a Sunday night mid September, we asked if we could order another glass of wine and we were told everything was shut down for the night. The hotel is fully sold out And we are paying $400 a night for our stay?

We overheard another group asking where perhaps they could go to order another drink or to enjoy an outdoor fire pit. The two staff working in the restaurant could not offer any options for them. Just wondering why when the hotel is sold out and the weather is lovely, the June offers nothing for guests?

We understand the difference between being in season and out of season. I hardly consider the week after Labour Day being off-season but it is what it is. In other upscale small boutique hotels, the price and service would be adjusted accordingly to accommodate for the decreased amenities available. This is not the case at the June . We are paying high season prices for off season service.

Really hoping the entrepreneurial spirit of the June will capitalize on the history of the Knights inn, and the Knight family, who provided exceptional service to its patrons both in the on and off season for many years!

Not at all impressed.. too much time and energy put into making some mediocre Netflix show and less time focussed on training up staff in the restaurant and ensuring adequate amenities for guests.

We had a great time. Is it pricey? Absolutely! But it's on par with prices in the area in comparison to the experience offered. Room was clean and well kept. Lots of towels provided, and the beds were firm but comfortable with lots of plus pillows.
Staff were extremely friendly. Offerings on the property were great. The pool was serviced by the restaurant which meant we could order drinks and food poolside. S'mores kits for the fire in the evenings and that was serviced by the lobby bar so wine and beer were available. Grounds were immaculate. Every corner was "Instagrammable". Location was great, just about 5 or so minutes from the beach with LOTS of shopping and food options along the way. I really couldn't find a bad thing so say! My only one suggestion would be to offer a little more variety for breakfast, but it DID meet expectations as it was very clear that only a light breakfast was included. 10/10 can't wait to return!

The bed sheets were not washed from previous booking. We found a used condom between sheets, when we asked for another room, they said it was no possible and the rooms were “clean.” Customer service was non-existent. We requested a refund and they said by policy that was not even an option, we packed and left within the first 30 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I also have to mention three other people were complaining about lack of establishment hygiene.

Last minute trip and lucky enough to find a room in this motel! It was such a unique experience and the every staff member went out of their way to be friendly and have a little chat if they had time. Being greeted upon arrival with a glass of rose wine set the tone for a great weekend getaway with my husband. The whole property has a retro vibe, which as I found out, had been featured in a season of Motel Makeover. Firepits with Muskoka chairs, live music, great pool area and an outstanding restaurant called Heydays. We ate there 3 times and didn't have a bad dish. The cocktails served around the pool and in the restaurant were great. The lobby has a unique and great vibe. We ended up staying an extra night to make the most of a gorgeous day. We met and talked to many people just hanging around the communal fire pits in the evening while enjoying complimentary s'mores! The continental breakfast was also great before a day at the beach or poolside.

Great remodel. Mix of new and old charm. Rooms very clean, beds comfy with storage below. Lots of fluffy towels. Provide body wash, shampoo and conditioner as well as makeup wipes. Grounds are immaculate. Pool nice for lounging. Fire pits with s’mores at night.
Heydays menu rather limited and pricey.
Staff extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend. Next time we will check out their prince edward county local.

Absolutely horrible experience! My company had to rebook the entire staff as their staff was extremely rude and rooms were extremely filthy just made to look aesthetically fine on the outside. Day light robbery. Company could not get a refund as they had refused and stated that 'personal preference ' was not a valid reason for a refund. Owner should focus more on keeping her customers happy than making money on netflix. Extremely disgusted to see such an establishment in a first world country. Really poor representation of Canada and it's People. Always thought they were known as kind people but this place just did a whole 180 for horrendous experience me and and my 10 colleagues endured. Coming from Africa I had my hopes high but there are a million better places in Africa than this rubbish

My husband and I came to check this place out after seeing ‘Motel Makeover’ on Netflix. It’s a great motel with a wonderful vibe in Sauble Beach. The room was ‘cool’ and very comfortable. The pool looked awesome but it’s October so was very cold. The prices in the Shop for wine, gifts etc were pricey but the cans of sparkling wine and mimosas were excellent. The dinner at Heydays left a lot to be desired … limited menu and expensive! Complementary coffee and tea in the morning was cold … sadly, and NO ice available for drinks in the room - FAIL!

All in all we enjoyed our 2 nights here … most places in Sauble and on the Bruce were closed but we hiked and visited Wiarton, Lions Head and Tobermory. Shopped in Southampton and enjoyed a pub style dinner the second night at Sauble Golf and Country Club.

Hoping to enjoy this lovely motel again next summer … booked for Aug 2022.

Wouldn’t recommend wasting money on this one. The business is built on anything and everything wrong in the hospitality industry and then some more. There are better options than this. They have no concept of customer experience as they don’t know how to take care of their guests.

This review, along with others left at this time, was part of a campaign against our business by people who have never stayed with us. Our business is seasonal and closed in November, yet we received several 1-star reviews in short sequence.
