Detailed Reviews
I was uncertain about staying here as there were mixed reviews, but I am VERY glad I did. I extended my stay twice!
I was upgraded to the "chalet", a modern adjacant building in chalet style, where I had a spacious room with everything one could want, including great views & a balcony. The breakfast buffet in the spacious dining room was excellent, a very full range & lots of choice - everything from hot bacon & eggs to a variety of cold meats & cheeses to cereals & a great coffee machine.
Parking is spacious & free (rare in this area)
Interlaken is an interesting destination - but you do pay for that!! Typically at least double the price I paid to stay here.
As the hotel is about 1km from town, it is best to have a car here; or bikes; or enjoy walking.

My wife and I stayed here on Friday just for the one night as a mini break from the city and to be able to visit Interlaken and the Jungfraujoch region/mountain peak.
The nearest bus stop to the hotel was called "Lehngasse" on the bus no. 105 from stand F at Interlaken West train station.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who confirmed our stay and gave us the the keys, we were also given a complimentary free public day travel pass which we weren't expecting, this was great as we visited the town of Interlaken and went down to lake Brienz on the bus.
The hotel staff were really helpful and the room had an amazing view from the balcony, the room was on the front face of the hotel and overlooked the whole valley, it was a clean tidy room decorated in the traditional Swiss style, no tea and coffee provided in the room but that didn't really bother us, we ate in the town for dinner and by chance on the way to the town to get some lunch we found a local hotel that served a traditional Swiss cheese fondue.
Breakfast in the hotel was good serving a large variety of continental and cooked choices.
We would definitely stay there again and recommend it, one other thing to recommend is download an App called SBB mobile, this allows you to plan your public transport down to the last bus stop and covers all of the major train, bus, trams etc, it made travelling so much easier for us.
Thank you staff at Hotel Berghof Aramanth, it was a pleasure.

+1
The Hotel is a cozy place with a spectacular view of the mountains and the river located at a little height from the Wilderswil Village. We arrived there by 3pm and were greeted by the most friendly staff. We got 2 great rooms on the first floor, both with beautiful views and big balconies. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant in-house, we were able to quickly find different cuisine restaurants in the vicinity with delivery options.
The Hotel does have a wonderful breakfast spread with a range of options to choose from including hot bacon, eggs, and bread along with cold meats and cheeses. The perfect start to a long day in Switzerland.
The owner of the Hotel is always available at the Reception, ready to help with any needs that we might have with a smile.
Overall the hotel was a delight and would surely visit again!

We were very dubious about this hotel from previous reviews but we really wanted to stay in this village and experience those views and we were pleasantly surprised by the experience.
We requested a room with a balcony and got the corner room (33) on the top floor and had 2 small balconies, 1 overlooking all the way to Interlaken and the lake and the other over the Jungrau's, it was breathtaking.
The rooms were clean and the beds really comfortable, our wardrobe was a bit tricky to use as the drawer and door couldn't be opened without the other, and yes as other reviewers noted there is a kettle but no tea/coffee or cups but otherwise it was fairly spacious and tidy.
The breakfast was excellent, buffet style and lots of areas to eat inside and outside though it was still a bit cool in the mornings for us to do that but would be lovely in summer. Lots to choose from including some hot offerings of eggs and bacon, could've been more fresh fruit and variety of pastries (only croissants) but that is my only minor criticism.
It is a bit of a walk into town but there are several restaurants in the village that were excellent, we ate at Hotel Baren and Luna Piccante and both were great.
On our 2nd day after a big hike we came back and the weather was lovely and warm and we were able to take advantage of the pool which was gorgeous to sit there and swim in the clean pool and look after the mountains vista.
We had no issues with the staff, all were friendly and exceptionally helpful guiding us for eating and travelling around.
If you are ok with an averagely decorated hotel in an amazing, stunning and quite location in an authentic village then this is the place for you.

What an absolutely friendly hotel to spend time in. The location is perfect for enjoying the incredible scenery and the outside pool is gorgeous for those sunny days when you want to just chill.
Breakfast has everything you could wish for. I wish I could have taken their coffee machine home with me - there was nothing it couldn’t do!
Thank you for providing the best service anyone could wish for.

Wilderswil is an ideal base for exploring both the Jungfrau region and the wider area, by public transport. It is so much quieter than Interlaken, Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen.
This hotel is on the edge of the village, a twenty minute walk (which can be reduced by catching the bus half way up). This does mean that it was quite a slog in the evening after a busy day. The hotel does not offer transport and there is no taxi in the village.
We had stipulated a room with a balcony and view. The room was quite spacious but quite basic and a bit tired. Nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. There was a kettle in the bedroom but curiously no tea or coffee so we had to go and buy some. Best of all, the view from the balcony was amazing.
Good variety for breakfast but a surprising lack of fresh fruit.

Booked a single room .. very poor value for money. Yes I appreciate Switzerland is expensive - but there is no excuse for paying over the odds. The room is small the bathroom is a tiny pod in the corner. Ceiling is very low. Uses the wet floor system so if you shower the entire floor is wet. Entire hotel is rough at the edges in need of refurbishment. Grounds are kept to very basic standard. Cannot be called attractive. I paid 107chf … I’ve stayed in much better hotels and paid 87chf. Avoid.

When we checked in the front desk attendant was very unprofessional and obviously overwhelmed. She even yelled at a customer on the phone. I do not know why since the hotel was empty except for us and one other family checking in. She was pretty rude to them as well. Our friends were with us and they got drinks from the bar. I didn't even ask her for one for myself because I was afraid to bother her.
I had booked this hotel because the website says "Table tennis and football table" and because we were with friends, I thought this would be fun....but I was told this is a summer offering only which the website does not say.
Our room had an amazing view - it's Switzerland of course. But the couch was so stained with what I do not even want to know, I wouldn't even put my luggage on it much less sit on it. The curtains were sagging, there was holes in the hallway carpet.... there was just a general run down feel of the place.

+1
Definitely one of the worst hotel experiences yet, especially given the cost. Moldy floor, dirty beds, stains everywhere, window with mildew and grime. Broken closet. Nonfunctioning lights. Came in, got sick, left. To top it off, the staff were extremely unreasonable and rude. Would not recommend. Plenty of better places in the region.

Spend your holidays in Switzerland they say. This is what we did by going for 2 days and going up to the Jungfrauch. We booked at the last minute and stay at Berghof to take the first train the next day.
Beautiful and spacious room, with balcony with view on the mountains.
Sunset on the terrace while having a drink was magic.

Hi taxi from the main station or change trains to the local station. A lot depends on what time of day you arrive.
Rooms with views they all look out on a different view and all are great. The room I had looked up to the roof of Europe through one window and down over the valley through the other.
As for snow it will be snowy up the top of the mountains but unlikely at the hotel but that could change quickly.
The rooms are a good size and there is a big bed for you and your wife and a bed in the corner for the infant. JUst remember this hotel is not soundproofed and please dont let your child run around all over the room since this will disturb the people below - the floors are wood and sound and running feet are a nuisance for those trying to sleep.
If you ask in advance the hotel can provide any hot meals free from foods you do not eat in th evening, I have done that ask. The breakfasts have los of choice and you will have no problems in selecting your veggie needs. Lots of fruit, yoghurt, scrambled egg and cheese, rolls and cereals options
I assume you have a pushchair? It is about 15 mins walk to the station down from the hotel and 20 or so up. There is a bus which goes to the village you can catch free, which saves some of the walk both ways when you study the time table..
Certainly pram acessible or did you mean push chair?
We have not used a family room. The room we usually have has a large double Swiss bed, that is 2 ma tresses in one bed base. There is what we use as a settee in one corner which could be set up as a single bed for a family
Small well behaved pets are welcomed and a charge is made for them. They are not supposed to go into the dining areas.
As far as I know there are no twin rooms. The Swiss beds have one bedbase with twin mattresses. The lager rooms have a single bed which converts from a settee, which might be convenient. Check with the hotel, they are very good at answering e mails and very quick and helpful
Check with the hotel which type of shower is in the room which they book for you. I think most are walk in cubicle types, but the room we usually have on the 1st floor it is over the bath and I would not recommend this for an older person since the bathe edge is quite high and there is no non slip mat -
