I always stay here when coming to Hawera for business. You are greeted by a super friendly team, where nothing is ever a problem. Cookies and milk ready in your room and the heater turned on if arriving late (in the winter)
The rooms are spotless and facilities top class. TV system has many options.
Always a pleasure - Highly recommended :)

I seldom write a review but in this case I was moved to do so because of a really positive experience, and I think the motel deserves it.
There was a friendly welcome. Check in was easy. We had a one-bedroomed unit, which I felt was particularly spacious. It was sparkling clean. A couple of others who were travelling with me who also stayed there had studio units and these were also spacious. Things I particularly liked: a glass bottle of milk! Far better than those awful UHF sachets you get at many places - and the bottle can also be recycled. The beds were comfortable and there was also separate shampoo and conditioner (not a "combined" pretend one), plus body lotion and bath gel. I also liked the towels, which are a decent size and nice and fluffy.

Super attentive office staff; massive room with plenty of room for suitcases. Full kitchenette; enormous TV. Good sized bathroom with large shower. They provided ear plugs but it was the quietest place I've stayed for years. Plenty of pillow with thin/thick, soft/hard and the offer of exchange if none were suitable.
Only problem was the super modern (bluetooth?) bedside clock ran out of power overnight and we didn't know how to charge it.

We confirmed an accessible unit, on arrival we got a NON accessible unit. The unit was tired and smelt musty. There were long cobwebs in the bedroom, hanging from the ceiling, the TV remote and the bedroom clock did not work. A very noisy air conditioner (grateful there was an air conditioner).
The continental breakfast was very nice and was plentiful.

I have noted The Park on previous trips through Hawera, and wanted to stay some day. A planned trip to the Nigel Ogle Museum meant we had the opportunity to stay. Our room was a good size, comfortable bed and good shower. The kitchen had a microwave but didn’t have a hob. On request, we were supplied with a portable induction hob with a frypan. I couldn’t get this to work so contracted the office and was quickly given another pan and a pot, which worked this time. Lovely place to stay, quiet and clean, well maintained. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful and we were very impressed with our stay.

We booked a family weekend away to Hawera. We booked and stayed at The Park and it was 5 stars from us!
It started with a phone call when we were on our way down, such friendly owners she asked what kind of pillows we would like and was checking our expected arrival time.
When we arrived the great service continued. We were shown to our room, and shown how to use the TV and wifi etc. The kids were given some fruit and a little pack of chips each. It was such a sweet touch.
We stayed in the 2brm apartment. It was perfect! So spacious, so clean and everything we needed and more! Lots of nice little extras like sleep masks and ear plugs.
Honestly I couldn’t reccomend this motel enough. We’ve stayed in lots of motels and hotels in Nz and around the world and our experience at The Park was right up there!!!

Stay here regularly while passing for work through the years including Dec 2022. It's as good as a motel can get. It's always spotlessly clean. Great big, modern rooms with a large television and wide range of TV channels. Walls seem to be well soundproofed. Big roomy bathroom with large shower and great water pressure. Easy parking at the door to your room. Milk provided in rooms. Table and chairs outside your room to sit in the sun. Friendly staff. It's just a short walk from Hawera Town centre and there's a fantastic park and swimming pool directly across the road.

My wife and I were travelling from Wellington, back home to Auckland. By circumstance, we ended up staying overnight in Hawera, which ended up being the highlight of our trip (apart from very much enjoying our time with family in Wellington). We only stayed in a studio, but it was perfect for us. Little things mean a lot, like a light on each side of the bed. The layout was great for us. We had one small wish, which we mentioned to the wife of the management team and she fixed this. So happy! By the way, do visit the marvellous park immediately across from the motel - for a town it is truly Amazing!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit, there was plenty of space and all you need for a short stay. The room was very clean and in excellent condition with a fab spa bath the kids loved. Receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and offered us chippies for kids and cookies for us on arrival and closed curtains and turned lights on for us while we were out which are nice touches. Thanks for a good stay!

Very comfortable with excellent studio. Friendly check in and liked that I was shown how tv and aircon worked. Bed top class with heaps of warmth (I had to remove one of the two doonas). Spotless bathroom with nice shampoos, soap etc. small kitchenette with microwave, fridge, toaster , plates and cutlery. Good advice on where to eat on a wet Sunday evening. Car park outside door very handy in rain. Overall, very impressed.
