We spent 3 nights here and experienced an incredible holiday. The resort was so quiet and beautiful to relax. The beach here is much more beautiful than others and their service is great. No single staff sees us without a smile on his face, we felt like we were home. Food is

Hi Maria, first let me say I enjoyed getting to know you, your husband, your daughter, son in law and 3 gorgeous grandchildren. It is truly unfortunate that you left with this perception of what actually occurred. So, to be fair let me just go over a few points: It is high season in Phu Quoc and even though we are only in our 2nd year of operation, we are fully booked. When you arrived, we were expecting 4 adults. We were quite surprised when 3 children showed up as well, as you only booked 2 bungalows. The bungalows are designed for two adults and occasionally a small child, not 2 adults and 3 additional children. Our Operations Manager (OM), who is well known for his courteous behavior and expertise at servicing our guests, approached you to discuss the situation. Upon sharing with you the safety concerns and resort policies, he also brought your booking information to you, showing that you had only declared 4 adults. In this business we always try and side with the guests, but as you might not know in this business there are a few guest that try bringing in children hoping not to have to pay for the services they will use. We opted to believe you and just thought you had made a mistake when you booked 2 bungalows and not a family villa which is more expensive but much more appropriate for a family of 7. It is my understanding when our OM presented the details of your booking, discussed what could be done temporarily and the additional fees for the children's, beds, meals, etc. you became quite upset, raising your voice over the fees and to try and make you happy, he ended up reducing our standard fees for two additional beds to a minimum and an extra mattress was offered at no additional cost. This was all in the first 20 minutes of your families' arrival. Now the resort needed to address your families' comfort and welfare; the bungalows are spacious but not designed to house 2 adults and 3 children with mattresses on the floor, that is not our standard. Our OM was kind enough figure out a way to free up a villa which had two bedrooms, much more suitable for a family of 7. The OM arranged for you to view one of our family villas and yes it was more expensive than the bungalow your daughter was in and at the time you said you needed to "think about it". At that time you were notified if you wanted the villa, you needed to sign the reservation and authorization form. After 3 days you never confirmed the reservation and the villa was released back into inventory and sold immediately. (Keep in mind you arrived December 27th, in the midst of our high season, our resort was fully booked.) On day number 4, you decided you wanted the villa. Your decision and official registration came too late. Again, you became unnerved and argumentative. Continuing our effort to appease you, when the family villa opened up, we promptly moved your daughter, son in law and three grandchildren into the upgraded villa at no additional fee for 4 nights. Maria, you happily accepted the complimentary upgrade but still continued to be argumentative feeling somehow that you had been deceived or cheated. Next, the General Manager came to you and offered our 3 bedroom Beach Front Villa with private swimming pool at no charge to try and make you happy. Once again you became unnerved, argumentative and started saying that the management team was somehow continuing to deceive you in some way. The OM and General Manager tried graciously, several more times to talk to you rationally about the above mentioned sequence of events but you refused then you decided to post your review. In all honesty Maria, we sort of feel you got the best of us…. However, we are happy we do have this forum to share with potential guest reading this saga, what occurred, our efforts, and what you were able to ascertain. In regards to our housekeeping team and resort policies, the rooms are cleaned daily, the sheets are changed daily, the rooms are restocked with supplies, fresh towels, 2x a day and in the evening the rooms are tidied up again and turn down service is offered. (Perhaps, 5 people staying in a bungalow designed for 2, with 3 mattress on the floor gave you the perception the room was not cleaned?) Maria, each morning, I (Kim - Guest Relations Manager) greeted you and your family to see if everything was fine and each morning you and the family told me how lovely the resort was, how delicious the food was and how caring the staff were. It was not until the very last day, the day I was saying good bye to you that I asked for some feedback on your stay. It was at that very moment, after maybe 11 days at the resort did I hear anything about these ill willed feelings. I was not aware the hoops the GM and OM were jumping through trying to make you happy. Maria, I and the Team at Green Bay Resort genuinely wish you a wonderful 2019 and beyond. Thank you, Kim - Guest Relations Manager

Its not super easy to get in to town from green bay resort. The hotel prefer if you ask them to book a taxi with a days notice. (When going in the evening for dinner for example) but getting home is much easier because every taxi driver Will want to drive you😂 The car ride from green bay into town Will take around 30-40 minutes. Other than that its a nice place to relax. I think they offer a shuttle bus leaving the resort like 10 in the morning and back at 17:00 but the town is quite boring during the day actually. Ps. The beds are really hard and the pillows like bricks and they have no other pillow options. Hope this have been to any help!

Yes, it is remote but you can spend the whole time in the property (of course depending on how many days you are staying there), breakfast is buffet with a lot of options and different stations to choose from (eggs by order, fruits, cheeses, pastries, etc), for lunch and dinner they have a la carte menu with beers, wines and cocktails on the drinking side as well as large enough section for appetizers and main courses (pasta, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, local cuisine) and desserts; again, the key is how many days you are spending there, I would think after 3-4 days you will probably want to go to eat outside and try something different...
