Very nice room with a large spa (hot spring) tub in the room but the towels felt like sandpaper and there was excessive mildew on the inside of the bathroom shower door (room 912). The staff, especially the 3 in the Lobby Lounge, were very unfriendly and the service was terrible. The food was just fair (one of the worst cheeseburgers I've ever had). Will not stay at this hotel again as the staff made us uncomfortable.
My family got one right with points as an impulsive decision, it turns out to be so good that we stayed 3 more nights. The room with tatami give enough sleep area for 4 of us, with a fabulous view of the beach right out of the window. The stuff was nice to give us enough breakfast and dinner coupons. The hot spring on in the hotel top floor was a huge plus!
Hotel was located 5 mins away from Shirarahama beach, and 7 mins away from bus stop Hashiriyu. Those taking bus to the hotel, please note that there is some up-slope walking, might be difficult if you have big luggage. My premier king room comes with onsen facility. Room was very spacious and comfortable. There are also public onsen facilities on 11th floor, and good view of the beach from the lounge area. Buffet breakfast has a good spread. Lobby staff could speak English fluently, but restaurant staff could hardly speak any English.
This is a modern hotel, with some thoughtful Japanese touches to it. We loved our room, we booked a Japanese king suite with sea view and the views are amazing, great clean rooms as well. Although in the room the windows barely can’t be open so at times we felt quite hot, but we called the staff and they helped us with the window issue. If the whole window was able to be opened then would have made it much better! The onsen was great, very spacious, although in the changing rooms I felt that there was a lack of toiletries such as earbuds, hairbrush etc as compared to other Japanese ryokans where they are well fully equipped. The breakfast however I would rate it average, I wish there was more protein in the buffet breakfast, not only sausage, bacon and ham.
The Japanese and western style room is a great combination of both and it is perfect for a family of four The view of the beach is absolutely amazing, especially for sunset Staff is very helpful and motivated Parking is free and very easy Loads of family mart around Definitely recommended
