8 two-bedroom oceanfront cottages and 2 newly added beachfront bunkies located on four private acres in Lockeport, Nova Scotia. All of our accommodations are beachfront and boast stunning views. Two-bedroom cottages include a well-equipped full kitchen, dining area for four, 4-piece bath, living room with TV, Roku & Wi-Fi throughout, and covered porches with rocking chairs and BBQ. Bunkies include a queen bed, dining for 2 & covered porch. Offering a unique choice of two spectacular sandy beaches. Five cottages and two bunkies located on the famous Crescent Beach, each with a front-row seat for ocean waves. Three cottages located on the more secluded Buchanan Beach, featuring a quiet cove of the Atlantic Ocean and direct view of Gull Rock Lighthouse and West Head. Covered decks with rocking chairs and cedar picnic tables provide added outdoor living space for relaxation. As well as newly added trails and secluded relaxation areas throughout the property overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

My sister, Mom and I stayed at Seaside Cottages for a getaway weekend. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. They provided us with all of the local goodies to check out which was very helpful. The location is a short drive to other destinations and the views were breathtaking. The walks on the beach and on Ginger Hill were relaxing. The constant sound of waves, rocking chairs on front verandas and comfy beds made this stay that much more cozy. I even went swimming! We plan to return next year! Highly recommend.

Excellent location right by Buchannon's beach and everything you need for your stay is provided. The mattress was super comfortable and felt like we were in our own bed. The weather was a little cool but we enjoyed most of our stay sitting on the deck in the provided rocking chairs wearing our winter coats. This was exactly what we needed for a mini getaway. The view is tremendous and watching the tide come in and out was very enjoyable as we enjoyed our morning coffee or evening refreshments. Only comment is the smell of the tide coming in is a little funky but nothing that would deter me from booking another stay in future. I also felt that the owners should clean the front windows for each booking as you want crystal clear view of the ocean from inside. The windows were not at all really dirty but I felt I needed to mention that I had the thought that I wanted to clean them to have a super clear view as it is so spectacular. This was definitely one of our best cottage experiences to date!

Wow! What a place. Everything is so well cleaned and decorated. The place is in tip top shape. A lot of thought and planning has gone into this cottage. All the things you might need have been put in place and well organized. From towels right where you need them, extras in the closet, utensils and cutlery all well laid out and a variety of kitchen extras (large pot, cheese grater, and decent knives!). I was most impressed with the birthday candles in the drawer just in case you forgot some of your own.
Did I mention that the cottages are right on the beach!!!
I already have friends asking about our experience and they are planning on booking a stay of their own. Book early as I'm sure this fantastic place will book up quickly!

Fantastic oceanfront cottages. This is a hidden treasure of the South Shore. This 2-bedrooms cottage with fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom and living and dining area was beautifully appointed and extremely clean. It offers the best panoramic view of the Crescent Beach at Lockeport. It has direct access to the beach. It feels like a private beach resort. The hosts, Sheila and Jeff are superb and very accommodating. We will visit another summer vacation at this place again. We wanted a quiet place to unwind by the ocean - and we definitely found it!!! What a gorgeous spot. Right on the water - you can see it, smell it, and hear it. The beach is beautiful, clean, and an easy 1-mile walk into town. The verandas face east, providing the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast in the sunshine overlooking the view. The cabins are simply furnished, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchenette has everything you need. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. And the lobster was delicious! We will definitely be returning 🙂

We stayed here for three nights. You could not ask for better hosts or accommodations. The cottages are very tastefully decorated, super clean, and equipped with every thing a person would need for a few days on the beach. We brought our border collie, Bailey, and they made her really feel welcome. The location is great to get a little exercise walking the beach to town. each cottage has its own fire pit in front on the beach and the wood is supplied if you don't have your own. We would highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway to recharge. The sound of the waves almost makes you drift off to sleep in the afternoon, but our buddy Bailey, that would be when she wanted another refreshing walk on the beach.

Wonderful stay! Owners were beyond accommodating and generous with use of beach gear and toys for my kids. Cottage was clean and supplied with everything you could need and more. We will be going back again next year.

Stayed in one of the three cottages on the more secluded beach,the cottage was clean,fully equipped,the location is fantastic,all you can ask for a quiet seaside getaway. Our stay was late season 2019 and within 15 minutes of our arrival booked a week in July with our daughter and grandkids. Would very highly recommend this wonderful property.

We needed a nice clean quiet place to recuperate and Seaside Cottages at Ginger Hill definitely checked all the boxes. The hosts Sheila and Jeff are fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The cottages are really comfortable, clean and well maintained. And being situated right on the beach makes for easy access to a beautiful beach for walking, swimming or whatever activity you want to do. This was our first visit here but we will definitely be returning.

What a beautiful place to stay. The cottages were larger than we thought they would be and were extremely clean and tastefully decorated. They are right on the beach and have a lovely view of the village and water. Big waves entertained our 6 year old really well on the huge beach. We have booked for next year!
