Forever in love with this wonderful land La Moresca opens its doors to everyone who wants to experience the true spirit of Sicily. La Moresca is the starting point for a journey of discovery revealing Sicily's places and landscapes, facets and passions, it recounts the traditions and folklore, sings the praises of the poetry and art, and gives voice and form to old and new generations. A journey that invites you into the living Sicily, to discover, understands, and treasures the island in your heart. A journey that plays on all five senses in an almost surreal atmosphere composed of beauty and culture, bathed in clean bright light and tranquillity, permeated by the typical Sicilian contrasts that here, at La Moresca, exist, coexist, and become one. Here in this place, in the face of the unparalleled alchemy of its images, ancient artifacts, sounds, perfumes, light and colors, you cannot help but smile, enchanted, and enraptured. It is impossible not to fall in love with this place. The Leitmotiv of La Moresca is authenticity, the respect, preservation and promotion of our history and culture. The building, built in the 1926, is a splendid and original patchwork of what used to be and continues to exist, in contrast but harmoniously integrated with the forward motion of time, progress, and arrival of the modern. Divergent perspectives coexist, at times creating a seeming nonsense, but which if the truth be told, merge and mingle, leading back to just one concept, authenticity. This new and special maison de charme is the result of skilful and careful adaptation and restoration work that has taken more than two years to complete. This renovation has kept faith with the building's original concept, materials and components. Throughout the year La Moresca, offers the possibility to escape from the world and everyday life, to a unique environment notable for its warmth and serenity, which at the same time catapults you into the bosom of Baroque art, the splendor of the Iblean landscape, and the exquisite cuisine of yesteryear. Situated in the centre of Marina di Ragusa, the hotel deliberately proposes a Room & Breakfast service, in order to encourage its guests to discover the many and varied culinary delights offered by the restaurants that abound in this cheerful resort, inviting them to "lose themselves" on a journey of discovery of the wines and foods of the area

Short stay in Marina di Ragusa. Stay away from the big hotels and choose a guesthouse! Very friendly staff, beautiful furnished rooms and less rhan 150m away from the cener of Marina di Ragusa. I enjoyed the small alleys and the numerous Bars, Restaurants and Cafés.

We liked this hotel and had a great stay. It was great for visiting the local beach--and we were surrounded by charming Italian families--as well as exploring the beautiful Baroque towns. Our absolute favorite was Scicli, so definitely visit it while you're in the area. It's off-the-tourist-path and truly amazing. We also found Modica to be lovely, and Ragusa is worth visiting too.

Dear Guest, really thanks for your review that is important for us that are investing our efforts in trying to make your sojourn reliable and serene. Our little villages, our antiques small towns, the beaches but more over our peoples are so intriguing and sincere that some time it seams to live a flash back into ... the past. The next time that you plan your journey to Sicily don't forget to ask me about Caltagirone, Piazza Armerina and Aidone ... other beauty that absolutely are "Most See". Thanks again, dear guest, and welcome to La Moresca maison de charme

Everything about this hotel is first rate. If you are considering a stay either in Ragusa or Marina de Ragusa you should give treat yourself and stay in La Moresca. Possibly down to us but this hotel would be a stand out anywhere and was of a different order to others we found throughout Sicily. One of those places that you want others to know about and enjoy.

I stayed for 3 nights at the property, in addition to the small and dark room we had to fight with ants that constantly popped up on the furniture. In addition to that we parked the car in front of the hotel "occupying a piece of loading and unloading of the last" of course after asking the reception if it was possible to leave the car there and giving me a positive opinion, not content the next morning I asked the same thing to the traffic warden who passed by and the latter expressly told me that they worked only on call from the hotel and that therefore since we stayed there there were no problems.
At the change of shift the receptionist called the tow truck despite having the license plate of the car (which she did not even check). So in addition to the price of 3 nights I had to spend another 135 € between minutes and tow trucks, as soon as we pointed it all out to the owner made us 17 € discount 😂. For sure I will never return to this hotel which by the way is not at all comparable to a real 4 star hotel.

Horrible! No ice, no soap in shower, place is not updated, fan is hanging by a wire in middle of room, no beach towels. Far from luxury . Employees are wonderful but hotel is far from acceptable. Breakfast ok, close to beach and great piazza but Do not book this hotel.Does not meet good hotel qualifications .

To improve
Very nice hotel in an excellent location a few steps from the center and the seafront
The rooms are also characterized by a characteristic structure
Breakfast not up to par
It could be improved
I don't recommend it for long stays because the rooms are very small

The welcome was lovely and the breakfast a bit sparse. The room felt tired and a cross between old grandeur and needing updating. The bathroom was a disappointment and felt like it needed a deep clean in the shower. The roof balcony just had rows of empty terracotta pots on it and totally uninviting.

We prepaid our reservation months in advance and one day before arrival it was mysteriously cancelled. No reason given. Obviously it left us scrambling for an alternative and significantly upset our plans. I question the integrity of this operation.

This hotel is lovely, nice rooms, great service, very friendly and professional owner, good breakfast. But it is definitely too expensive for what you get and mostly for the area it is in. Marina has become a mass tourism middle class place full of young people and families from Italy spending their summer there. The beaches in walking distance are crowded and not super nice, need to take the car and drive somewhere more quiet. Maybe off the main season it's a good place to go, definitely not in August. And still the price is too high then..

Dear Sir good afternoon first of all really thank for your considerations and suggestion that we’ll jealously hold for our upcoming decisions. Of course we both have to consider that you have seen Marina of Ragusa in the worst period of the year because middle of August (we call those days Ferragosto) is honestly unlivable and full of teenagers and people everywhere. However you have to agree with me and with the other Guest that even during those days, La Moresca is still a tranquil maison de charme that’s out of all that chaos. Thank you again dear Sir and we will be truly happy to have you back again with us.

A fabulous 5 night stay at one of the most lovely Hotels in Sicily. Very well appointed and by far the cleanest rooms we encountered during our 23 day european vacation. The only thing better than the hotel were its staff! They treated us like family and made us feel like we were at home at all times. Maria is a GEM! one of the nicest, warmest people we ever met. Carlomaria has his entire staff trained to attend to your every need. His knowledge of the area is incredible...so much so that my wife and I started to refer to him as Mr. Sicily. We both hope to return in the near future. Bravo La Moresca.

Honestly I don't know but we are the only La Moresca Maison de charme in South East Coast in Sicily. At the moment our website is not online but you can find some images also on YouTube. ...
