Whilst we understand that this industry has had a difficult time. We would expect higher standards, in order to promote loyalty. We arrived and parked in the " carpark " Stood there ringing the bell for attention. In an attempt to gain access to reception. In the end we went around to the front of the building. The receptionist informed us " We dont use that door the bell doesn't work!" We as guests are I guess meant to know that ?! Our room was really cold when we got in. Two drinks cost £12 The breakfast to go was poor. Having grown up in the village The Manor was alway a class act. Alas it would appear standards have fallen off a cliff The place does look amazing from the front, and the staff we came in contact with on the day shift were really nice. FIRST IMPRESSIONS tarnish the whole experience

Dear John, Thank you for taking the time to write your review online. Please accept my apologies on behalf of the entire team for not meeting your expectations on this occasion. As mentioned by you our industry has been hardly hit by the pandemic and it is only now that we are slowing starting to stand on our feet again however not totally yet . Our hotel is still welcoming key workers only according to the government rules and regulations. Due to low occupancy for obvious reasons the majority of our staff is still on furlough and our services and offerings had to be reviewed accordingly and in spite of the pandemic we strive daily to welcome and deliver the best of our abilities to our guests. Most probably the bell stopped working without us realizing that as the back car park has not been used for a year now due to plenty of spaces available at the front of the hotel and that is probably what we meant upon check-in and please let me apologise once again if the message was not clear. It is sad to read your comments when we know all the high standards we set for ourselves and how we operate under normal circumstances and I am truly sorry to have your experience tarnished by the bell upon arrival however it is nice to read your positive comments about our staff. I hope to have the chance to welcome you back in future in order to give us the chance to be judged while fully operating and deliver you with a better experience up to our high standards. We had our wedding here on Saturday 5th September and to be honest with all that’s been going on we were apprehensive, well we didn’t need to be, leading up the wedding Paula catered for everything and helped out all she could and kept us updated. The hotel opened the day before our wedding and we were the only people there at first. Me and my bridal party were extremely late arriving but the staff made us feel very welcome and we still managed to get a meal and that was amazing to. After a sleepless night I woke up and it was my big day, that’s where Eroll comes in, this man is like a fairy god father, anything you need he will do he helped out beyond his duties and made the day one of the most relaxed I have been in months. Because of the current situation we thought the wedding would be very military style because of the restrictions but omg I was wrong everyone was relaxed and everyone has complemented us on how amazing it all was and none of that would of been possible without the team at the Manor House!! I honestly want to do it all again it was that good, thank you Paula, Eroll and all the staff at Manor House ❤️

We stayed at this hotel on the 24th October. I could not fault the service from Lexi Pinks. She went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be in the current climate. She called me when she said that she would, prior to the booking and was pleasantly surprised that we received a complimentary upgrade to the executive room. We dined in Marco Pierre White's restaurant that evening and the food was exceptional. The staff are friendly and very attentive, we were served by,, we believe it was Reco/Reckin (sorry if I have not pronounced this correctly) and he was extremely polite and professional. Could not fault our lovely evening away. Thank You x

Great hotel with very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The restaurant and bar were great for dinner and drinks and the breakfast is very good. All in all, a good stay at a fair price. The current Covid measures are reasonable and not too intrusive!
