Stayed last week with friends, the resort is in a quiet area away from Gela and Licata and therefore a car is necessary if you want to discover the nearby area. Large rooms with large balcony, excellent cleanliness of both the rooms and the common areas, we stayed with the half board formula and both breakfast and dinner were rich and abundant, it is obvious that we indulged in a particular dish during meals at the restaurants at midday. The guys at the reception, in the bar and in the lounge were really prepared and attentive towards the customer. A big round of applause to them, the entertainment being the end of September was minimal but we weren't interested. Overall satisfied, in my opinion the place has great potential, the only flaw is the small and poorly maintained beach given the day of arrival and never frequented because there are beautiful ones around!

We spent a week guests in room 10, immersed in silence and enjoying the beauty of the slow days of a relaxing holiday. The Resort is well organized, spaces (even shared ones) are regularly cleaned and arranged. Throughout the hotel there is a great attention to detail and to the care of the guest. The guys in the room are available and always have a smile on their faces, even when they are busy coping with different demands. A special thanks goes to the girls at reception Stefania and Angela; young, very kind and super helpful!

On arrival we were greeted at reception by a rude and unhelpful receptionist who insisted we had to pay an additional tax for ‘service charge’ of €25 for the first night and €20 per night thereafter. We knew there would be a government tax of €2 per person per night, which is standard everywhere. We have never heard of this before and was told this was for beach/pool towels etc, which should have already been included. We could not get our key until we paid this which is unheard of as usually service and tax charges are paid at the end of your holiday. Needless to say we took this up with our holiday provider who refunded the amount. There was no porter to take your luggage to your room and was just pointed in the right direction, not the service of a 4 star hotel! Had a terrible noise in our room and had to be moved and kindly upgraded. Trips non existent as there is not enough people to go on them. Beach is very small and covered in seaweed, and lots of rocks going into the sea, there is a walkway but no directions and no one to advise you of this. The beach attendant swept the sun beds but not the seaweed, which would have made the beach a lot better. The rooms were clean but no telephone, coffee machine or minibar, I can only assume these were in the suits. Plumbing in the rooms not good, lots of gurgling noises when you use the shower and toilet. Food was excellent and the dining staff very good and continuously topping up the food. The location is very remote and you definitely need a car, no restaurants or supermarket near by. We hired a car which the hotel organised and decided to see the sights ourselves. The hotel could be amazing but needs a lot of work and I would definitely not class it as a 4 star hotel.

I stayed at the property in the week of August, believing I would find excellent accommodation, also considering the prices. The structure is very beautiful and modern but the flaws are far greater than the strengths. I would like to point out that I called before booking because I was particularly interested in having information on the beach. Information that later turned out not to be true. The beach is essentially impassable: access is via a shabby, unstable and unsafe ladder. The shoreline is full of large boulders which, in fact, prevent entry into the water. But what's worse is that there is only one row of umbrellas and the same staff recommends going to the sea early in the morning because otherwise there are no more umbrellas and sunbeds available (I specify that the card is mandatory upon arrival from €30 per day including beach service). The lifeguard was not there, not even on particularly windy days. The restaurant service is also far below expectations as, in my opinion, the food is really bad. The variety of dishes offered is very limited and always the same. Upon arrival you must pay for a service card which includes parking which, essentially, is unattended. On one occasion we returned at one in the morning, we found the gate closed, we rang the intercom but no one ever answered; so, we made do. The staff, overall, friendly and helpful but it's a definite NO. It is very far from what can be called a “resort”

Very spacious room with air conditioning, fridge, large bathroom and terrace. Provided daily beach towels. Exceptional restaurant (in 11 dinners we never found a dish already proposed and all of excellent quality) self service. Crystal clear sea, never crowded and very gradual in depth (you always touch). Since there are stones between the beach and the sea, shoes are needed. There is the pool although we have always preferred the fantastic sea. In the evening after dinner there is excellent musical entertainment (Gianna's piano bar). Although we were not interested, there were animations for children and other activities (gym, muscle awakening). Polite, helpful and smiling staff. Parking in front of the entrance, with gate, reserved for Resort customers. So much relaxation and so much silence have fully recharged us with energy. Finally we, having the 'car, we explored in the afternoons various locations (valley of the Temples, Licata, Gela, Punta Secca, Caltagirone and the beautiful Scicli). However we heard that the Resort also organizes trips.
In the bathroom there is a bathtub with onion but no shower. The guest kit is missing (e.g. Shower cap). Missing the beach bar. The pool bar does not make cocktails and only uses paper cups. Since there are few staff at the bar, in the evening during the piano bar it is difficult to have table service and you have to wait.

The Resort Village is well tidy and clean, all the staff, especially at the restaurant, is courteous and helpful. Our functional rooms and with everything you need were located in the main body, but there are also rooms in another complex directly on the sea that Recommendation for the priceless view. The restaurant is buffet style with a wide choice of both land and sea and the average quality is very good. It lacks an outdoor evening bar and there is no entertainment, it may or may not like but it is fair to emphasize it. It has a swimming pool and is surrounded by very well-kept green areas. It is small, especially in full summer the sunbed area on the private beach located in a small bay, the view of the Falconara tower is definitely an added value, but I am doubtful about the lack of receptivity in general of the beach itself. Ample parking inside the Resort.

Very nice hotel with attentive staff.
The room was very large with a magnificent sea view.
The barmaid of rare kindness.
Points for improvement in our opinion The restaurant room is a little noisy when there are people. Being able to have breakfast and evening meals on the terrace and the obligatory swimming cap at the swimming pool on vacation is not a good idea.

We stayed at Resort Falconara the first week of October in Half Pension.

The structure is very beautiful and attention to detail, large room with a beautiful view of the park and sea on the horizon. The gem? ......A fairytale castle overlooking the scene from a rocky ridge.... Yes, I did. It's just like the photographs.

True, there are small details that can be improved, there is no shower in the tub (and we would certainly have preferred a nice shower), the lighting in the room is all too atmospheric and the mirrored doors in the large wardrobe are beautiful but with a fearsome guillotine effect. But the context is so pleasant that after the first day you don't even notice it anymore. I forgot...The comfortable and large four poster bed is also equipped with topper!

Breakfast and dinner buffet, excellent variety of offer and quality of products.

Swimming pool with a very suggestive black background, large and tidy solarium area. Beach actually a bit small but certainly you can not ask the Resort to solve the serious problem of erosion that plagues all the Italian coasts and beyond.... Nor do we pretend that the sea is always calm and clear as read in some reviews.

We also used the gym, nice and equipped just right to keep in shape during the holiday.

The place in October is very quiet, suitable for those who want to relax. Great for a couple.

For those who love confusion go elsewhere... No one will miss it.

Special praise to Stefania of the reception who on our arrival managed to solve a "no small" problem with the room and then always be ready and available to meet our every need.

See you soon!

Stefania and Michele

I specify that I phoned before booking because I was particularly interested in having information about the beach and the services offered. Information that turned out to be untrue. Even the restaurant service is far below expectations as, there is a manager of the room , waiters in disarray and without any professionalism.Squalid and dirty clothes. (to specify the cobwebs in the room and the glasses that I do not know since they are not cleaned). The variety of dishes offered is very limited and always the same. On one occasion we returned at two in the morning, found the gate closed, we called but no one answered; so, we managed. The staff, overall, friendly and helpful but nn entirely .It is very far from what it can be.I Recommendation to radically change the organization.Director incompetent to the extent he could not solve any of these problems that we communicated to him.
Catering is not for you.
Holiday to forget.
Thank you again.

Dear Mike T, There is not a bus that travels to the hotel. You can take the bus from Catania Airport to Gela (it stops at the rail station, about 20 km far from the hotel) The bus stop is outside the exit of the Airport, then from Gela rail station to the hotel you should take a taxi (or the hotel can organize it for you) and the cost from Gela to the hotel is 30-40 euro per way. You can check the timetable and cost for the bus at the web: Interbus (it) In Catania Airport there are many taxi companies that offer service and the price is more or less the same ( you could check the cheaper one on the web). Best regards, The Management
