Detailed Reviews
We just loved our stay at pah rd accommodation. We spent two relaxing nights away on our own without the kids and it was the perfect place for it! Fantastic hosts, heaps to do and all a short distance away and most importantly a peaceful place to stay! We will be back and think our kids would love it too!
Thank you :)

This is the second time we have stayed here and we have had both of their available units..
The straw bale cottage this time and loved it..
It was relaxing and they fitted us in at really short notice..
The outdoor shower and kitchen just makes it more appealing..

We stayed in the straw bale studio for three nights mid Feb. Unique architecture studio, great base for exploring the surroundings. Delicious fruit in orchard and warm croissants for breakfast. We walked to Kaiteriterie via the cycle trail but I would probably recommend driving there instead :) I liked the alfresco dining but I would recommend taking some bug spray. Overall a lovely stay in beautiful surroundings for a very reasonable price!

We stayed in the Flax Cottage which was very comfortable, with a beautiful mosaic in the bathroom and immersed in the lush gardens. Sarah and Dave are wonderfully hospitable, providing us with fresh baked bread every morning and eggs from their chickens. We loved eating the plums and apples we could pick from their orchard, and the vege patches and gardens create a very enjoyable space to relax in. Superb location to explore the stunning Tasman region with its national parks, wineries, orchards and landscapes. Highly recommended !

I was looking for 1 nights accommodation at short notice and although their flax & straw bale cabins were booked, Dave and Sarah kindly made up a special bed for me in their studio. Quite exceptional hospitality! I was fed and watered at dinner and breakfast. Waking up to hot bread and hot cakes was a very pleasant surprise. Will definitely return.

We arrived from Christchurch late in the afternoon and were greeted by Lily the dog. We stayed in the Flax Cottage which was well appointed for a couple. On our first night, we slept like logs and woke to a delicious loaf of homemade bread which we ate right outside the cottage. It was super handy to the Abel Tasman and Kaiteriteri mountain bike park which we thoroughly recommend. The hosts, Dave and Sarah were very helpful and friendly and gave some great suggestions for places to dine out and sightsee.

I stayed here with my wife and child to explore the Able Tasman area. I stayed in the flax cottage. There are two accommodation cottages on this site. First of all I was greeted by a very friendly man (dave) and his dog. Chocolate lab called Lily. And then shown the cottage. Wow! Big area with big bedroom. Dave's wife (Sarah) bought over some toys for Jessica ( our 3 year old ) to play with. The place was spotless and very safe for our daughter. We had a great nights sleep and then explored the local area. Sarah and Dave had some great suggestions to eat. We took plums and apples from the their Eco orchard and then enjoyed Sarahs homemade bread.eggs and cereal Great 3 day stay. But not long enough! ps The photos don't do this place justice.

I stayed for 2 nights in the strawbale studio before tramping the Abel Tasman Track. Excellent studio in a peaceful setting. The bed was amazing. Outdoor shower and lavatory. Fresh bread delivered every morning. The best yogurt and home made jam. Eco-garden. Pick your own mandarins. Very friendly hosts. Wineyards in the area for wine tasting. Nice bike trail along the coastline from Motueka to Kaiteriteri.

Stayed at the self-catering 'Flax' B&B cabin as it was near the beaches and main towns on the Abel Tasman coastline.
The owners are very helpful and friendly - even providing fresh bread each day for breakfast and an abundant supply of fruit and eggs from their own land. There is also a good outside eating area and a BBQ in a tropical garden setting.
It is adequately furnished but could do with a wardrobe and some hangers.
We also stayed in the summer season so the mossies and sandflies were in abundance in the whole park area. Take lots of sprays...
There was some trouble with the wi-fi during our stay but the owners kindly let me access the internet from their own home, which was very useful.

Hi there so we are no longer running our b&b. Thanks
Hi Carole, thanks so much for your enquiry. We are taking a year break from our b&b and doing some family time. I can recommend marahau lodge, but they may be booked out at this time. Unfortunately I can't recommend anywhere else as we don't stay at b&bs locally. Book a Bach would be worth a look. Kind regards, Sarah.
