Really great place to stay. Very comfortable, very well looked after, very clean and well appointed. Great host and so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Highly recommend this place to stay awhile.
This was the third time to NZ and Bayview holds the honour of the only place we have stayed at on each trip. Abel Tasman is a must and Bayview/Kaiteriteri a great base. This time, we were well looked after by Alex for a couple of nights before we ventured into the park and again for one night afterwards. The breakfasts deserve a mention, and the use of swimming towels was a bonus as the weather was warm and sunny. Paradise? I think so. IF we head that way again, Bayview will be on our list.
Until our most recent trip, we had not stayed in a B&B since our early 20's. Nearly 40 years on and we found this absolute gem. Set up on a hill above Kaiteriteri, this purpose built haven has 3 rooms all with stunning views overlooking the bay below. Next to the property is a shortcut that leads down to the beach which is easily reached in 10 mins, The rooms are of generous proportions, stylishly appointed with plenty of space for all your bags and more. Each room has a veranda with double sliding doors which open to expose the beautiful bay below. Alex was a great host, preparing a delicious breakfast each morning and nothing was too much trouble and was always happy to go the extra mile. We started off staying for 3 days and ended up staying there for a week, which was to our good fortune. This is a lovely property with great hosts, one not to be missed.…
Alex is such a good host, the place is lovely, comfortable and spot clean. I’d highly recommended it. If you like dogs, ask to see George, big gentle mastiff. It’s location has a magnificent view, of the sea
This is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are beautiful and extremely well appointed with views over the bay. It's a 10 minute walk into the centre of Kaiteriteri to the restaurants and departure area for the boat trips. Ashley looked after us really well and cooked delicious breakfasts. Would definitely stay again and would recommend highly.
Jude, Paul and Alex are a wonderful family and a great hosts. It is a beautiful place and an amazing view and the family makes you feel like home quickly. Very nice an comfortable rooms with a relaxing terrace in the front. The whole family is supporting you and trys to make it an amazing time for you to be there. They assist you to find nice spots and help you to make your way there. And the breakfast is great!!!! Homemade muesli (amazing) and a cooked suprise every day. I wish I could have stayed some more days, it was so wonderful to be with them. Thank you so much, I hope to see you all again.
This B & B overlooks Little Kaiteriteri Beach and it is a 5 minute walk down to the beach. From there it is about another 5 minutes over to the main Kaiteriteri beach where you catch the boats that take you up the coast to Abel Tasman Park. (You have to cross a shallow stream to get to the main beach.) We were lucky to be in the guest room on the main floor so had an excellent view of the bay. Our host, Paul, was terrific. A real extrovert who clearly enjoys having guests and looking after us. He sat us down with a cold drink and cookies when we arrived and gave us advice about what to do in the area and what restaurants to go to. His breakfasts were wonderful with a different, delicious cooked option each day. We stayed 2 nights and wished we were staying for 3.
Arrived late at night and wasn't sure of the area. The host was very gracious and most helpful upon my arrival. Accomodations was great. The breakfasts prepared was very tasty. The hosts were great. They made my stay very pleasant and were most helpful to give me tips on local sightseeing tours. I highly recommend this B&B.
We loved our stay with Paul and Jude. The perfect host and hostess. They were born to run a bed and breakfast. Helpful, chatty and such great fun. We loved our room with it’s sunny balcony, but we loved the gourmet breakfasts even more! Fabulous house in a great spot overlooking little Kaiteriteri. You can walk to the beach and there is so much to do. Do not miss coffee at the little van beside the beached Whale restaurant. The park itself provides wonderful walks through pristine bush. Hard to leave this little gem of a place. Just superb.
Thank you so much Paul and Jude for making our 3 night stay so pleasant. The views are superb, the breakfasts delicious and recommendations of local attractions excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Thank you again.
