Imagine a place 30 minutes from Amsterdam in a beautiful National Park. The beach is only a 5 minute walk and you can surf, kite, go longboarding or just read a book in a hammock. You are free to do whatever you want. In the morning you wake up to enjoy some coffee and a delicious breakfast. After that you walk over the dune and take part in a surf or kitesurf lesson. After the lesson you practise a bit more or just hangout with your fellow surfers. When the sun sets you can decide to visit a beachclub to enjoy some funky tunes, chill out at the camp or hit it hard in Amsterdam or Haarlem.
Does this place exist? Damn sure!! Since 2011 the top campsite 'De Lakens' gives us (a bunch of free minded surfers) the opportunity to build our own litlle paradise.

We had a fantastic time at the Surfcamp Bloemendaal near Zandvoort. We stayed for approx 1 week in the summer, we arrived by car from Amsterdam, the ride is max 45minutes and very comfortable.
The camp itself is simple but has all the necessary facilities, sleeping was ok in our own tents as well, most of all, we had a lot of fun learning surfing, the instructors were great.
The food provided was fine as well. Overall, it's a great little get away, close to Zandvoort, and just right to learn a bit of surfing close to home.

What an amazing experience I had at Surfana Surf Camp! This midweek surfing trip was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by all the staff and volunteers. Since I was the only guest, I got to enjoy delicious meals with them and sunsets!
The week was unforgettable thanks to the two excellent surf instructors. I also met some wonderful people who made my stay even more special. A big thank you to everyone there; I will definitely be back!
The wooden cabins are incredibly charming and the free sauna was a delightful bonus. The surf camp itself is very chill and beautifully located. For anyone considering going: have fun, you will love it!💫
