We based ourselves at a 2 bedroom Hotel Bloemendaal apartment for our stay where we explored the Netherlands countryside by car. We spent our days visiting tulip fields and enjoying the local area. Bloemandaal is a beautiful village and we loved the restaurant Vooges downstairs and the Bleecker Brasserie a few doors down. Parking was always available. The area is nice and quiet. Our apartment was very comfortable and modern. Beds were great and bathrooms spotless. Warning of 2 flights of your very typical steep and narrow Dutch staircase to get to the front door. Highly recommend this property.

Everything is very clean and the staff is so helpful and friendly, specially Mr. Roland.

Stayed one night in a luxury room. Enjoyed the great design of the room, however it was a bit noisy at night because of the noise coming from people on the street. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good buffet breakfast.

We stayed for a week while enjoying the beautiful tulip season and Kings Day...staff was very friendly and helpful at the sister Hotel Bleeker, but we had no service and reception etc at Hotel Bloemendaal... the absolutely worst part was the restaurant under the hotel...WORST meal in a 3 week trip, service and food terrible. We reserved a table, came at time and waited 45 minutes, then had to get our own utensils and ask for service...tried it once more for breakfast and it was equally bad! I would not recommend this hotel for anyone.

They are trying to run 2 hotels from one place and it is very poorly done.

First of all it is a joke call this place a hotel! There is no reception and nobody to talk to at any time of the day. It is simply a bunch of rooms over a restaurant and nothing more!
The room I stayed in has seen much better days. The whole impression was not nice and I will never ever get back to this awful building!

We stayed for 3 days the location was good.
We were in room 3 on front corner on first floor, traffic did not bother us at all.
The room was big very well decorated and furnished the bed was comfortable.

I recently stayed here for my cousins wedding and I was stunned how beautiful the hotel is BUT SO DISAPPOINTED on how they treat their guests. I am very upset and disappointed on how they treated us and made the experience a bad memory. First of all, they got the dates of my reservation wrong. The bride was coming in on a different date and I am assuming that they grouped together the dates of the bride with the guests but we did not come in until a day later. Since they got the dates wrong the charged the card an extra night and I specifically told them I would send them the confirmation reservation I had received with the corrected date. When I got home I searched for that email and sent it. They did not accept my email which they sent to me with the corrected dates and explained in an email that their system had the correct dates so they were not accepting the confirmation reservation. I am still disputing the charges.Second they gave us poor directions from the train. We took the train to Herleen from Amsterdam when Aachen is much closer and the cab ride was less than 20 euros to Aachen instead we paid 50 euros coming in from Herleen. Not only does it have horrible customer service the housekeeping was awful. I called one night to get toilet paper because we ran out and they told me I had to wait until the morning because she did not have the key to the closet. I had to go to the lobby restroom. I would not recommend staying here, the customer service is horrendous. From the lobby receptionists to the servers. I am sad to say that my stay here was not great at all.

A couple of days together
We were pleasantly surprised, we booked the 4 person room, which is off the side of the restaurant. Its actually quiet with a separate entrance to avoid the hotel.

We booked a table for dinner, this was a must with everything fresh and getting very busy on a Friday night. The atmosphere was extremely good and the service was also good.

The hotel was very clean, the big telly in the room did not work! Luckily the two bedroom telly's did.

Was a great stay, would do it again!

We spent 2 nights in this hotel early in April 2015, and had a good experience.
Rooms are quite design (a bit of a boutique hotel). Just be aware that there are no fridges ( in case you travel or have young kids) in the rooms. We recommend the 8 (or the 11 even a bit smaller), nicely decorated with velvety red curtains, wall tapestry.
Good food, very friendly services, several choices of Gin and Tonic which have reconciled us with this drink.
They have arranged bikes that we took for the day to go to Harlem and to the beach (quite a ride).

We choose this destination because Bloemendaal has two good two star restaurants in the area and hotel Bloemendaal offered a nice package deal. Unfortunately something went wrong with the restaurant reservation, but this was wonderfully solved by offering us a discount and alternative dinner.
The hotel is near the centre of pitoresque Bloemendaal, and near the beach and national park Kennemerduinen. Unfortunately, the weather was bad on this winters day, and we relaxed a little in our room. The room was nice, big enough and luxuriously decorated. The bed was good, but covered with two seperate duvets, not our idea of a romantic room. The shower was great, but the wash basin a little odd. Sounds from the underlying pub are banned completely, except for the door banging close and what we think were the sunscreens going up and down, that woke us up both at night and in the morning.
Breakfast is served in the pub. The breakfast was very good and served at your table, what I prefer instead of a buffet. Unfortunaly it took the breakfast staff almost an hour before they managed to get something to eat at our table. They offered an apology, but in my opinion this is not ok, as breakfast rushhour can be foreseen when the hotel is fully booked.
I think the roomprice is reasonable, but with a few small changes this hotel could offer a much better experience.
