I stayed at Hotel Jules for 3 nights and it was okay. I was here for a business trip with my colleagues. All of us got surprised when we checked into our rooms. Interior is bright (pink, red, purple etc.) are bright for me. Otherwise, rooms are decent size with all facilities.

One of my colleagues has heating issues in his room so he has to change the room. We reached hotel around 10 and there was nothing to eat except fruits and nuts.

Other days, food was good with good service. Lady at the restaurant who took our order is amazing.

Breakfast is normal. No surprises there

Overall, it was good 3 days.

My first time in this town and hotel. Was pleasantly surprised. The room was modern and bathroom larger than most. Bed was comfortably. there was some noise from people entering rooms. rooms were clean and tidy. Not much for english speakers on TV unless you kept flicking channels and were prepared to watch old american series.
Breakfast good...
Brasserie was excellent...

Nice but expensive. Stylish if red lamp districts are stylish. ;) Huge mirrors over my bed, almost naked women on wall papers, panther skin pillows, well, everything if you want perform some in-door activities with your closest friend or spouse.
Location is good if the town is your goal but 2 main roads nearby decrease my note – a bit noisy place especially on evenings when motorcycles start full power from street lights. Racing for free if you like the sound.
Hotel’s staff is friendly but does not hard working. All things takes time so finally I have got free internet access as a compensation of long waiting for my room key – a man in reception disappeared for few minutes. I did not want to guess for what ;) What an atmosphere! ;)
Food is stylish, tasty but also rather limited in size. Not big choice of dishes and drinks. Outstanding selection of soaps and shampoo let you smell like a hell. You find it as a very nice advantage of Jules.
Summary – a bit expensive and rather for crazy lovers than somebody who cares about expenses.

What a great hotel. Location is the only minus, but we knew that when we booked, with our intention to go to Alkmaar for the cheese festival. We took a taxi (which the hotel sorted) to Alkmaar and it cost 45 Euros between the 5 of us ( each way)
So it is a quirky hotel with different rooms that are all styled differently. We were in Edinburgh, a very traditional flowery affair, and one sibling in (cannot remember the name) but a very blingy, sparkly room (very the only way is Essex). The reception staff literally could not be nicer. I wish I knew the name of the first man, he was so helpful. The cheesecake is also lovely. We were a cycling tour and they even allowed us to put the bikes inside for safety. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

I visited this hotel while in Holland for business. It is a very interesting hotel. Each room is decorated in unique themes. I was able to get a tour with the staff of the ball rooms in back, and it is amazing. If I lived in Holland I would use this for my wedding, it was very beautiful.

The staff is very friendly, and did not hesitate to answer any question I had, accommodate any request I had, and remembered me by name, and always smiled. I am an American and like to have a large bucket of ice in my room, and I am used to having ice machines in the hallways.

This hotel did not, but when I asked for a bucket f ice for my room they had no issue in doing so. And each day I returned from the office it was waiting for me. I cannot say enough about the staff. They made my visit comfortable and I would easily return if on a personal holiday.

A bonus is that the train to take you to Amsterdam is within walking distance, maybe 5 minutes walk. Very easy.

Well done!

The location was good for us which is why we stayed. Breakfast was good to and the place was clean.

This, however, resembles a top class brothel in design. The purple theme, velvet everything and tacky decor with dark booths looks like ti could double up as a brothel. Really not what I would expect from hotel and. as you've guessed, I think is pretty tasteless

I stayed here 1 night as this was the only room available in the area. It has a strange atmosphere about the place, the entrance is the best part and after that it's all down hill. The rooms are tacky with their strange themes. The shower tray flexed as I stood on it (I'm 12 stone), it hasn't been fitted properly, the bar was closed so no beers! We booked a taxi for the following morning and it didn't turn up because the receptionist booked 2 days later (joke). The balcony had loose stepping stones on it that weren't fixed (unsafe/movement) I have uploaded a photo of this on my review. Any normal hotel would have a tiled balcony to stand on. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful so I will give this 2/5.

Booked Jules because it was cheap and still looked ok. When I arrived the hotel gives you a strange vibe. The design is a matter of taste. The atmosphere a bit stuffy. Breakfast is standard and good. For a business stay the night ok

Each room at The Jules has its own unique style. I stayed in room Barcelona and it was certainly unique - and charming. Quite nice to stay in a "different" type of hotel. Clean and tidy. Staff really friendly. Food is very good. The hotel is out of town but convenient for the local industrial estate.
