Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Buonanno for a week, great surprise when we checked in to be upgraded to a junior suite - we are never usually this lucky!! The suite was extremely spacious and spotless, we had a lovely view of Mount Vesuvius. The bed was very comfy only downside was hearing some noise in corridors and rooms above at night, especially if people checked in during the night.
Good breakfast however choice was limited. If staying here we definitely recommend a car to explore and be aware the area around the hotel is grubby. However the hotel and grounds are very well looked after and staff very, very friendly - if in this area again we would definitely stay here.

We were guests for one night (and then confirmed for the second night) because we were guests of a birthday party organized in the villa's restaurant
next day . Splendid location, renovated eighteenth-century villa (the Lebanese cedar inside the courtyard is noteworthy) with beautiful gardens and plants, internal parking with automatic gate, our quadruple room was clean and spacious equipped with every comfort. Clean bathroom, maybe not very big but for 1 or 2 nights it's ok. Excellent breakfast with sweet and savory (also scrambled eggs and bacon). It was a really pleasant stay (despite the weather). I would happily return.

Place where we stayed for three nights with a group to visit Naples and its surroundings. This hotel, a little out of the way in Sorrento, welcomed us well. We were lucky to get a large room with good bedding. For information, room 312 on the 2nd floor and with elevator. Small downside quite noisy area (fireworks every evening) In terms of food we had a decent breakfast and the dinner which was quite refined. Friendly staff

We booked to stay here for 7 nights and left early after 3 we were so uncomfortable here. This is a lovely events centre and ideal for weddings but it is NOT a place to use if you are going on Holiday, the restaurant and bar never open at the same time so a relaxing evening drink before or after dinner is not possible. It is NOT located in Napels but some 30 miles outside the city the only way into Naples is a 20 min cab ride €30 each way or by trains which only run between 8am and 7pm. We felt very uncomfortable and not particularly safe walking around the local town the hotel is situated in. There are no alternative restaurants in the town so you are stuck at the hotel all night whilst weddings and parties take over the venue so we were stuck in our rooms all night.

The room was very basic with very hard beds. The restaurant food was good but the menu difficult to navigate as was only available in Italian and the waiting staff spoke very little English.

Just do not stay at this hotel. Room spacious and setting and gardens lovely. Food was also fine but we went elsewhere to eat as cheaper after the first night. The rest is awful. The room was dirty when we arrived - hairs (lots) in the bathroom and the rest just dirty. The staff can only be described as hopeless. Customer service zilch - that is if there was staff around to serve us. And right under our room up to midnight a disco is booming away tonight. No sleep for us. We stay in lots of hotels - both for business and holidays. This can only be described as the worst we have ever stayed in. We really do not want to have written a review like this but we just have to warn any other potential travellers not to stay here.

He wants you to believe it's a dream location but... it's a nightmare! during our stay there was a wedding celebration in the garden... the red carpet was all faded and worn out, the garden benches were peeling... everything was poorly cared for and badly maintained. The room, not in the main building, was really dirty with old and depressing furniture... dormitory bed mattress with springs that you could feel on your back; quite the opposite of appearances. TV barely works, courtesy kit ridiculous. Very old bathroom which gives you the idea of lack of cleanliness. Big disappointment.

Structure a little old, but overall very clean and tidy.
The area is reserved, without traffic.
Really well mannered staff.
Breakfast quite good.
Competitive prices.
Definitely a good structure for events or special occasions near Naples.

Beautiful place, surrounded by greenery, large villa for events. Beautiful and functional room with a view of the park. Clean room and bathroom with fabulous shower. Spectacular breakfast with lots of homemade goodness and many savory and sweet specialities! Both as a family and as a couple I think it's a nice place! Highly recommended!

We stayed in view of a wedding in Herculaneum. It may not be a four star three may suffice structure to review and renovate the rooms small disorganized bathroom. The kitchen is good but improveable breakfast poor nothing of the territory. Also noisy for parties held in the hotel courtyard. It gets much better

If you are arriving/departing at a reasonable time, I believe the hotel is able to arrange collection and drop off. Although the airport is really not far from the hotel (around 15 mins depending on traffic), based on a journey from the centre of Napoli to the hotel I would say you can expect to pay around 40 Euros each way. Herculaneum and Pompeii are both much further away but if I remember correctly the hotel may be able to arrange visits although I have no idea of the cost. Failing that, both are accessible via local trains (Circumvesuviana) but it would take I would guess at least 90 minutes door to door, and less by car. The hotel is very accommodating, but I would recommend organising transport with them as far in advance as possible.
