The hotel was beautiful but very bad maintained. The floor was slippery and the room far from being clean. The worst, the strange behavior of the workers. The staff was continuously complaining to serve breakfast, dinners or drinks always annoyed by our orders. Considering you pay 3 euros for a beer and 30 for an average dinner of medium-low quality they should be at least correct. If the hotel is fully booked, no room for breakfast or dinner for everybody. Very loud fire alarms in the middle of the night during 45 min woke up us two days in a row. One at 11,30 and the day after at 3,30. No staff in the hotel to solve it, so you better don’t have a problem during the night. No security. They accused somebody from our group of having pressed the alarm which was not true... very annoying, disrespectful and insulting. They overcharged almost everybody in our group. I will NEVER go back and will never recommend it. To the owner, do something about it, your business is not going to last.…
Hotel Minerva is full of charm for any season. The well appointed rooms are decorated simply but with care, the estate has a rural but sophisticated feel, and the staff is lovely and caring. We spend two wonderful nights there and would return in an instant. Views, terraces, pools, Arab baths, bike path, mountains: they have it all.
If you want to get away from cities and towns, this is the place! The pool view will forever be etched in my memory! Nice to have a drink by the pool or in the cute bar. Bathroom was challenging because it was small and hard to deal with shower-tub. A bath worked better than a shower. But overall a lovely place.
We arrived by bicycle and were exhausted from the heat. The property is stunning. I’d already read it was out of date here and it is. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom large and adequate. I was pleased with everything until dinner. The host / waitress spoke no English but this is fine. I got the completely wrong dish and was really annoyed. I ordered the most basic thing possible pollo asado but got meatballs. It wasn’t even on the same page. All this would normally not phase me but she was just not welcoming whatsoever. I was really annoyed. Next day was a different lady. She was kind and pleasant as one would expect. Food was wonderful. We enjoyed the saltwater pool all day. If they would tidy up the place and be a little more friendly I’d say a 5 here. Overall it’s a nice place to stop in the middle of the groves. …
I found that the area is beautiful, the pool, the patios, the surroundings, but, at least our room, was terrible, old, uncomfortable mattress, bad smell... You can hear all the noises from the others rooms, the fountain at 08:30am, the suitcases being dragged in the stones floors. For what you are paying it is not good at all. But the worse part is that I forgot a big Water Canteen, really difficult to find (1,8 Litres) in the room, when I realized I forgot it in the room, and I can remember exactly where, they told me they haven't seen it. When I told them that I knew perfectly where I left it in the room and that it was really big, so someone should have seen it they told me that I was accusing the cleaning ladies. I wasn't, but obviously someone took it.
