The hotel is a renovated warehouse; there are interesting pictures of 'before' in the hallways. Our sea view room (228) was on the small side, but well decorated and efficiently set up. There are a couple of quirks-there is only a glass panel between the bed and the shower, and

Feel like a star on the Riviera in this beautifully restored palace building by the sea. Fantastic furnishings in rooms and great feeling throughout. Request Sea views with balcony to get the best out of it. Making you pay 9 Euro for parking seems very petty.

A very nice spa/hotel in the south of France. We stayed 4 days and liked it very much. Our room was very clean with a spacious walk-in shower and a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean. It is a good place to relax with a beautiful garden with tables and chairs, and an outdoor

Hi. There is a TGV train from Paris to Nice that stops at Toulon, which is the nearest TGV station to La Seyne sur mer. From the station to the hotel, a taxi would, I guess, be about 30 minutes or so. Bus options and the bateau bus (ferry that runs from Toulon waterfront to La Seyne every half hour for 2 Euros) would be out of the running if you have luggage. We booked ahead with kiwi taxis (in our case from Marseille airport), so that the driver meets and greets you at the station/airport. We paid 10% as a reservation fee on line then were asked to pay the driver the balance in cash. It worked exceptionally well and we had the same driver both directions. Our trips were all on public transport or just walking in each direction from the hotel to see other beaches and coves. There is the ferry jetty and an adjacent bus terminal five minutes walk from the hotel. Toulon is best visited by the ferry (see reseau mistral). The tourist information office is three minutes walk from the hotel, open 09.00 - 12.00 and 14.00 - 16.00 if my memory serves me well, and has very knowledgeable multi-lingual staff. There are many flights from Paris (CDG and Orly) to Marseille and also a smaller number from ORY and CDG to Toulon Hyeres airport but I guess the TGV is the smart bet provided the strikes by French rail staff are over! I hope that helps.

We'd say it is suitable for both. But, as others have pointed out, the nearest train station is in Toulon - so 5 minutes walk from hotel, 20 minutes scenic ferry ride across the bay to Toulon, and a few minutes walk from the pontoon to the station. There are plenty of local bus services within a short walk from the hotel. Ask the tourism office (3 minutes from hotel) for information.
