We stayed here for New Years 2020 and had the most wonderful time. The rooms are so beautifully crafted in a Burmese style, they’re incredibly clean, tidy & ethically sustainable with their interiors & accessories. They create all their own soap which is a really nice touch.

The staff are incredibly attentive for whatever you might need while you stay & the breakfast is amazing. They also organise day tours to inle lake or bikes for you to roam around on your own.

It’s not on the actual lake but if you want a bit more of an exploration this is your place, with plenty of great restaurants in walking distance.

We stayed for 5 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer! Well located for tourism, it is nestled on a quiet street with individual bungalows, each with their own private deck, nestled within clumps of bamboo and ferns to ensure maximum privacy. The main reception area is tastefully decorated with Burmese art and artefacts. The staff are extremely conscientious; the bungalows large and the bed comfortable. There is plenty of hot water with great water pressure, essential after a day of touring. Breakfast is catered to your individual tastes and needs; as vegans, the kitchen staff ensured that we had good variety each day, always with freshly prepared Shan tofu (our main source of protein) and soya milk. We understand that this hotel is always booked and can understand why; best to book in advance to ensure you can enjoy the amazing hospitality and ambiance of this unique hotel.

We enjoyed an incredible three day stay at La Maison Birmane; from the excellent, friendly and attentive service in English to the beautifully designed and maintained room, this hotel provided a true boutique experience.

The plated breakfast was delicious as were all the meals we had at the hotel's restaurant. In fact, after eating at several restaurants in Nyaungshwe, I believe the food as La Maison Birmane is the best in the area with a mix of both Shan and international cuisine.

The hotel was serene and quiet in an otherwise busy city and we looked forward every day to afternoon tea when the staff would deliver a thermos of hot water to the room.

I would eagerly recommend this hotel to others; the hotel staff provided 5-star service throughout our entire stay!

The smile with service is really pleasing when we are entering to this hotel. Before checking, explain and discuss what can we do and how is the perfect arrangement. Everyone wearing the smile and saying Mingalabar is coming in natural that we felt during our stay.

The room is quite warm enough with the heater and the rest room with decent light is in good architecture way. The net will prepare on 6pm every evening. Only the water tank sound behind our room is strange.

The breakfast will be in western way with all natural fruit and food. Less sugar is the great idea of Ma Ei Ei who is managing this hotel in lovely way. The pancake, egg and the coffee became our decent breakfast.

We got a lot of chit chat with Ma Ei Ei and learning the way of living life. That memory will be with us even the trip was over.

Now my friend are asking which hotel is it and they are interesting to go there as well. How about us? Ofcoz we are already fall in love with them.

This place is a true boutique hotel, where thought has been put into every small detail - from the tasteful room decoration, the indoor plants, the little balconies with flower arrangements to the always beautifully arranged food. The owner and staff are incredibly helpful and can arrange everything for you. We really enjoyed our stay here!

This is such a peaceful hotel with great staff and management. They will take every effort to make your stay a never to forget experience. Nicely situated so a walk into town is easy and nice. We can highly recommend this hotel with its nice bungalow type of rooms. The breakfast is a nice start of every day of your stay and the late night drinks in the garden are a perfect closure of the day.

I have visit Inle lake for the first time this week on november. I am a korean. and I've been working 20 years as a hotelier.
I had very few information about this area before I went on a trip. and I just selected La Maison hotel as it has good location. this hotel is very convenient to approach jetty for boat trip of Inle lake and there are many tourist attractions near by such as restaurant. pagoda, massage shop, bar.
But there is another more important reason why you should stay at this hotel. I know a lot about the hotel's services because I have been working as a five-star hotelier for a long time. La Maison hotel is much more than I expected. Ms. EI EI and her team made my stay much more valuable and comfortable. They helped everything with a smile from beginning to end. I just regret not being able to stay longer. I can promise to stay at the La Maison Hotel next time if I travel here again, .
The room is very well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Most important of all is their smiles and attitude to help. I've also stayed two other hotels during this trip. So I can say with more confidence that the La Maison Hotel is really great. I would like to say thank you to Ms. EI EI and her team at La Maison Hotel for their efforts for my new experience. So I leave this message as soon as I come back from my trip .

Charming small hotel in at 10mn walk from the starting point to the lake Inle.
Beautiful place with warm welcoming staff; rooms which are in real individual houses in wood, are spacious, very clean, super confortable, well maintained, double bed is very comfy and pillow are so soft and agreable you could rest the all day.
bathroom are large and really nicely and simply decorated, with all you need to be peaceful and happy.
Great attention to details are offered as well as extremely respectful and professional staff.
Breakfast is simply delicious, absolutly fresh cooked with immediate response and large servings. fresh fruit juice & fruits, omelette, local pasta, good coffee, toasted bread and home made marmelades... all of it served in the lush garden.
on top advises given by the hotel manager and maitre d hotel are helpful.

Quiet despite of being in the city at walking distance to downtown!
We had great time and we wish to have stay longer at this little paradise.
highly recommended !
Merci

My stay at "La Maison Birmane" was beautiful. The rooms/bungalows were nicely decorated and comfortable and the bathroom was great! The green courtyard in the middle is perfect to get breakfast in the morning (I cannot recommend the crepes enough, with homemade jam) or to have coffee while reading one of the books available at the hotel - which is probably why I kept extending my stay.

The hotel is close to the lake and the manager can help you organize boat trips. The staff is amazing - very helpful and friendly, always with a smile on.

I honestly cannot wait to go back. Thanks for a great stay!

Hi, I had difficulty finding an email address, I was told there was one in the Lonely Planet Guide. I used this one and it was returned. I have a card from the Hotel which gives their email address which I t think is the same as the one in the Lonely Planet Guide. Unfortunately I am not allowed to put email addresses in my reply, Sorry . Hope this is helpful

Although it will be cooler then I would still plan on them - bring plenty of bug spray. The bungalows have ceiling fans (no AC) and mosquito nets over the beds.
