Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Comfortable, spacious room with small private terrace. Small heated swimming pool. Paid bicycle rental. Breakfast, a form will be given to you on arrival, check what you like and above all don't forget anything! Far from the center of Andernos les Bains on foot. Parking for cars outside the residence.

Great stay! The host is very welcoming. The rooms are tastefully appointed. Relaxing place, quiet. Breakfast is varied and hearty. Corinne is very caring, inform us best about the area and things to visit. We were able to rent bikes directly from her. Stay that I totally recommend.

All what has been said before is true about this wonderful hideaway of paradise. The villa is exceptionally well presented and still very comfortable. Words fail me for commending Corinne, she is the most genuine and committed hostess, which reflects clearly the commendation she beams, from breakfast time onwards, Corinne is “a true ray of sunshine”, sharing her villa, home-from-home comforts effortlessly! Keep it up, we can’t wait for the next time! This was our very first “chambres d’hotes experience,” definitely the wow factor.

My wife and I returned to stay with Corinne as we had discovered this lovely b&b last year but had only stayed for one night. This time we stayed for 7 nights. Unfortunately my wife and I caught a very heavy cold on the second day of our stay. This was not ideal but we still enjoyed Corinne's hospitality and especially her outdoor breakfasts. The weather was great at 28 to 35 degrees all week.
We highly recommend Villa Surcouf.
Merci Corinne. Nous esperons que votre dos douloureux s'ameliorera tres bientot.

My wife and I booked Villa Surcouf for one night and, oh boy, were we sorry we did not book a longer stay. Corinne has a beautiful B&B home, she is a lovely lady, friendly, helpful and an excellent host. The rooms are stylish, spotlessly clean with comfortable bed and a walk in shower room/bathroom.The previous reports and photographs tell their own very good story. We will be back- if we can get a vacancy in this very popular chamber d'hotes.

My wife and I stayed for one night at this guest house which is located about 7 or 8 minutes drive from the centre of Andernos Les Bains. It is a smart house on a private estate with 4 rooms available. There is parking outside for a couple of cars and further down the road plenty more space. There is a small pool and pleasant terrace where you can have tea or coffee. The owner, Corinne is a very friendly and helpful lady who gave us a nice welcome.

Our room was finished to a high standard, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotlessly clean. There were tea and coffee making facilities, tv, free Wi-Fi and adequate storage. A more than adequate communal breakfast is served in the house with croissants, lovely breads, home made jams and cake. You may or may not be a fan of having breakfast with other guests, but in practical terms it is probably the only thing that works in a property of this size.

Be aware that you can only pay by cash or cheque drawn on a French bank account which nearly caught us out. It was only by chance we had our cheque book with us.
The owner is very knowledgeable about the local area and most helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly recommend it.

Corinne was hosting us perfectly. A shame that we stayed only one night. We liked the place so much! Cosy bedrooms with private access, very clean big bathrooms. Nice terrace with private tables and a pool outside. Corinne speaks English which is very useful in the region, so she kindly made a call to book a table for us in the local seafood restaraunt which was 2 km riding on the bicycles from the villa. Eagerly recommend to have a stay at Corinne's villa, have a rest near the pool, rent bikes at Corinne's place and enjoy silence and bassin nature.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay at this 4 room B and B. The rooms were designed by Corinne, and she did an excellent job of making them very user friendly, with space well planned to accommodate the needs of her guests. The decor is bright and cheerful, the rooms spotlessly clean. Our bathroom was huge, with a large amount of storage space. Corinne is a wonderful hostess, ready to meet any special needs her guests may have. She is passionate about her B and B as well as the Arcachon Bay and is a wealth of information about the area. She speaks English very well. Breakfasts were excellent. Corinne serves home made jams and a different home made cake every morning, along with breads, pastries, meats and fruit. Eggs can be special ordered as well. The grounds are beautiful. There is a lovely pool which is nicely landscaped. This B and B is an incredible value, we have often paid more than double what Corinne charges, for rooms and breakfasts that were not nearly as nice as Villa Surcouf. Once you open the gate to Corinne's property you have entered a wonderful peaceful oasis. Would definitely return if we stayed in the area again. Or we may return just to have the privilege of staying here again!
