We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week at the end of May 24. We were on a Saga all inclusive holiday. The hotel is on a spacious site with well tended gardens, all areas of the hotel being kept extremely clean. Our room was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. Sunbeds were always available during our stay. Staff were all friendly helpful and efficient. Despite other reviewers concerns we found the food in the restaurant excellent with always a lot of choices and well presented. Food was on self serve buffet basis, in the restaurant, drinks were brought to your table but the service was fast friendly & efficient. A very quiet adults only pool was very relaxing. Next to the small village/town of El Rompido and a short walk to the ferry for the unspoilt beach.
This is a hotel to go and have a very relaxing time, not a place for discos and nightlife.
Would definitely go back.
I suspect the hotel get quite busy during the peak summer periods but late May, early June it was very pleasant.

We stayed this past weekend, staying with 3 people because 1 was participating in the Andalusian chess championship.
We arrived on Thursday night, we had booked half board and they were kind enough to change the Thursday dinner for Sunday lunch.
The spacious room, with 3 beds, comfortable, the bathroom also spacious, everything very clean.
The hotel in general is very quiet, the location is perfect, through the back door you reach a shopping center and the marina, where you can take a ferry that takes you to the open sea beach, the hotel has the courtesy of give you one ticket per person so you can go at least 1 time.
At breakfast, lunch and dinner, the staff makes sure that nothing is missing and that everything is very clean, the variety and quality of the products is fantastic.
I had a small incident with the parking barrier, which we hired, since from the same underground you go up to the rooms, we were late for the championship, when I made the complaints, I was kindly assisted by Almudena, who personally took care of solving the incident, she did not return to happen, thank you very much Almudena and they had the courtesy of not charging for parking for the entire stay, due to the inconvenience caused.
A great discovery this hotel, we will definitely return

The location of the hotel is excellent, you can walk to small shops, a supermarket, the ferry to the beach and the small fishing village in just a few minutes. (Tickets for the ferry from the hotel)
We had half board and the offer is varied and there is something for everyone. Although the hotel was full, we never had to wait for a table. The only negative point: we missed peeled/laminated fruit, the canned fruit is not appealing.
The pizzeria La Orilla in the center is cheap and also has grilled food and pasta.
The rooms are simple but very clean. Apart from shower gel, no toiletries are available.
The weather was great, the beach is kilometers long and not at all crowded, a paradise and the sea water is nice and warm. On the beach you can rent 2 sun loungers + parasol for 10€.

We are regular guests of the hotel for 6-7 years and the truth was that there was no summer that we did not count on our getaway to the Rompido to this hotel. We have tried a year the Precise Resort El Rompido (apartment) and yet it has always been our first choice. This year has been the big disappointment. There is clearly a drop in the quality of both the services and the buffet service. A differentiating fact that we favoured this hotel was its gastronomic offer, its great buffet and variety of it. This year has almost halved both breakfast and dinner services (I can’t talk about lunch). Regarding the cleanliness of the rooms we have also noticed a decrease in the service since you leave the room with sand from the beach and find it again with the same sand. In short, this year has been the last year we will go, since the experience has not been at all as expected although the prices have not dropped either. Too bad we really liked it.

Our experience at the hotel has been wonderful. Mainly by the hotel animation team, with Cristina, Paula, Luzia, Mane, Sami or Julia. They have made our children's stay PERFECT, and therefore also ours. The Forti Club is the best kids club we’ve ever seen, having dinner, disco and movie service that allow adults to enjoy otherwise. This alone is worth returning to. The buffet food is very good, with a lot of variety and great quality. There are seafood days, another with a ham cutter, another with grill, special dessert day... all very rich. However, on the terrace there is an excessive amount of stray cats, sometimes very unpleasant, as they climb on the chairs and there are guests who cannot stand it. The hotel is very large, and never seems to be overcrowded. The adult pool is very quiet and allows you to relax, but you need some cleaning and control that no children access. The normal pool is very clean, with a very fun slide area. The pool bar is very nice and well staffed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The gym is quite small, with only 3 machines, of the 6 days of our stay, 4 was damaged one of the machines. The reception service is correct, but it took us a long time to give us the room, as we were given it at 14:50 (it is until 15:00). The location of the hotel is great as there is plenty of atmosphere nearby for dinner or a nice walk. There is no need to pay for parking as it has a shopping centre on the doorstep with free outdoor parking.

Disappointing stay: we had repeated on several occasions our stay but this will be the last...we are assigned a room with damage that come to fix at nap time, not far from common areas overlooking the main entrance despite requesting that it be remote from said areas and that it not be noisy...interruptions of room service in inopportune hours of rest to bring a gift from the club of friends. Low quality food in breakfasts in cold cuts,
pastries and hot food in addition to lack of utensils, and deteriorated tables and tablecloths on terrace. Donation is included in the invoice for the reception stay without prior consultation and you are not offered a welcome drink despite checking in online. We were also not granted to delay only 1 hour the departure due to availability with the possibility...
We have detected the inattentive staff in general and lack of motivation when before it was always your hallmark, in addition to the drop in quality in your room cleaning and catering services that does not correspond to the price increase.
Unfortunately, El Rompido will no longer be one of our getaway destinations despite being located in an incomparable setting.

We have been going to this hotel for 13 years. We love its location in El Rompido because it is convenient to go out with the children and the family atmosphere there is.
We have always only gone with breakfast because the food in Huelva is too good to eat at a buffet. I recommend better eating at the restaurant: if you go with babies there is a menu and purees. Breakfast is typical buffet: lots of variety but little quality in pastries, bread and coffee. But children love the experience of choosing breakfast. When they are older we will go out to town to have breakfast of toast with good Huelva ham.
The staff is very friendly: both the room staff, the waiters, and the mini club entertainers.
This year we hired the Exclusive option and we loved it: the Balinese beds and the small buffet all day. We will hire him again.
And also highlight the photography service: they did two sessions for us because the child went badly the first day and had a “profidén smile.” The girl worked on it the next day and the boy came out more relaxed and smiling. A 10 for this photography service. We are very happy to have booked the session and the album.

We've been in for a weekend, the rooms awful old, dirty. Painting the room full of stains. Furniture on and off the terrace lousy, dirty and old. I had to call reception because they didn't make my room, surprise!!! When I return in the afternoon it was already done!!! Hahaha, embarrassing!!! They came in to stretch the bed just hahaha. The bottom sheets, that is, the unstretched lower sheets, have stretched the countertop sheets and ready!!.They have left the towels in the bathroom as we left them have not bothered to put them well and even the lid of the bidet uncovered lol. The pillowcases crumpled like a raisin. It had never happened to me in any hotel, let alone 4*.
At the first dinner I had to tell the cook that he will remove the salmon he had in the display case to put it on the grill, it was scary to eat it with the bad color it had, and he said yes that it was regular, well nothing, there he left it and kept putting it. The worst buffet I've ever seen, very very poor quality food.
Very unpleasant reception staff. When I arrive at reception the girl tells me that I have reserved classic double room but gives me an upgrade to superior, hahaha, if this is better, how would be the other!!! Jajaja.
In the buffet you ask for water which you are charged almost 3 € and they put osmotized water lol, above which you pay for it, it is filtered tap water, a very ugly detail., for example I do not like that water so I pay for them to have mineral water.

I stayed in this hotel before but I don't think I come back again. A four star hotel without a kettle in your room, I asked for one at the reception desk and they told me I had to pay 10 euros during my stay,. At the restaurant, breakfast without berries, no variety of food, same food for every meal, they only change some hot dishes. The hotel needs a renovation painting is a need, and showers instead of bath tubs, there were so many old people in tourist groups, it would be easier for them to have a shower. The surroundings are beautiful. A pity they don't invest enough money to improve and update it, I'm afraid this hotel cannot be considered a four stars hotel anymore.

Dear Customer, This is a four-star hotel because it is under the hospitality regulatory legislation, this hotel contains everything that a 4-star hotel should have, that is: A wide range of facilities, superior quality design and excellent service, this hotel offers a luxury experience to its guests. Regarding teapots or kettles, the supplement of €10 is only paid once and it applies for the whole stay. I am sorry that your stay here was not good, despite everything the hotel offers. All the best, Raquel, customer service area

This lovely hotel is a must for nature lovers, particularly bird watchers. It is a well run hotel, with a lovely outlook. Everything is very well maintained and the dining experience is unhurried, staff are extremely quick to serve drinks and the food is of a good quality. The area is very quiet so this hotel is not for you if you want to go clubbing, but if you want to take leisurely walks along th beach or through the countryside and recharge your batteries then this is a winner. A short ferry ride over to the beach is a must as the beach is superbly quiet and just stunning. My second visit here, and I will return again

HI Carly, we had the exact same issue! We ended up calling the hotel and talking through our options. They advised getting to Saville by train (from Jerez airport) and then a private transfer from Saville to the hotel :)
