An excellent first time experience and introduction to navigating canals. Sir Menaduke was comfortable, heated, clean and well equipped for a self-catering family of four. We are tall, yet found the cabin beds comfortable and spacious enough. With a warm welcome, we were very

The service provided by Cliff and co at Countrywide Cruisers was excellent - friendly and helpful. The boat was clean and comfortable and taking the narrowboat through the Staffordshire countryside was lovely. We saw lots of herons and kingfishers and the whole experience was

With 6 foot 4 the roof was just far enough above me....
Hi, We went on the Sir Melleaus for a week, 3 weeks ago and did a vv in the direction of Chester. Made it to the castle on the hill. Very nice trip. Others may like to take the ring or go left to Wales and back. We have no experience with other routes. Audlem is a good stop for provisions and books, pubs enough plenty on the canal. You can find all in this publication we got from Waterstones: Title: Four Counties & the Welsh Canals No. 4 - Collins Nicholson Waterways Guides (Spiral bound) Author: Collins Maps ISBN: 9780008101596 Price: 16.99 Enjoy! "Sir Melleaus has traditional stern, less ideal for a captain that likes a lot of company on the move. The boat is ok for persons 6ft4 tall."
"Sir Bruin was good."
"Sir Ironside for 2, Sir Menaduke for 2 couples"
"There are two" rooms" in the narrowboat, and the lounge converts to another. All are good!"
