Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This motel certainly takes you back in time
of memories of childhood trips . While it has a modern television , the rest is pure NZ hospitality.
From the thoughtful handpicked flowers and lollies left on the the table to the milk jug and salt and pepper shakers .
Host are lovely and our unit was super clean with comfortable beds .

We stayed the night on our way to Wellington. We chose this motel because it was "Pet Friendly" and we were travelling with our greyhound.
We were also planning to have some relatives come to meet us at the motel for a shared takeaway dinner. When we mentioned this, our hostess immediately gave us extra milk and came to our unit to make sure that there were enough plates and sufficient cutlery.
We had a wonderful time with our relatives, followed by a nice sleep in a very comfortable bed.
Our greyhound was also welcomed. There were 2 enclosed areas where she could run around and ample additional space where we could walk her. We will certainly avail ourselves of this motel again some time.

Room Tip: The main road runs past the motel entrance. Minimal traffic noise .Well away from the railway line.

We had an overnight stay at Panorama Motel in Sept. First - it was warm, the heater worked! The Panorama is a little bit north of Levin, 4-5 minutes drive from downtown. It is on the main road but because it is set back off the road it is quiet (I was informed that traffic noise can be an issue in some of the motels in town - it is the main truck route North/South). The room was clean and tidy and it is obvious that the proprietors make an effort. We booked by phone, we were expected and a unit was reserved for us. No hassles. A good point was decent coffee and a plunger provided in the room. Plenty of bedding. A decent sized bathroom and shower and heated towel rail. Another bonus - Alpacas in the field next door for a bit of rural interest. The only gripe was we had an end unit and the wireless broadband signal was weak.

Me and my partner stopped here the night last year when travelling from Nelson to the Far North. We were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our room. The rooms are a little out-dated but have everything you need and are spotless and comfortable. Being close to SH1 it was surprisingly very peaceful too. Would of stayed an extra night if we didn't have to be elsewhere.

We were travelling with pets and a big trailer. The owners placed us in a unit at the very end where it was easy to turn around and it was convienient to walk the dogs.
The unit was too big for us but was all that was available. We did not use the main bedroom which smelled rather musty but the rest of the unit was fine and suited our purpose. It is very well placed for those travelling North and South as we were and had just come from a ferry crossing.

The problem with a lot of Levin motels is that you have the noise of both SH 1 and the railway all night. Panorama motel is situated well off the road and not near the railway so a peaceful night’s sleep is ensured.

Clean, comfortable and well-appointed Panorama is very good value for money. A good recommendation.

Having stayed here on a previous occasion albeit several years ago we decided to stay again – and were not disappointed. Our unit was very comfortable and did not suffer road noise. There was a train somewhere within hearing distance in the night but as spouse and self were not catching it, sleep called again. This motel is an unpretentious place some 1.5 kms north of the town, set back from the road with a spacious lawn and big-enough pool.
On our previous visit we suffered a meal at Cobb & Co so this time, in advance, a message was placed on the TradeMe Community Board asking where to eat in Levin. The many replies from locals were more than helpful ending in our eating at the Levin Cosmopolitan Club which was very reasonable in cost for food and drinks. Passable spot to eat short of a better place which is difficult to find in Levin.

My wife and I have stayed at Panorama many times over the years and we have never been dissappointed. We have found the motel rooms to be spacious, well lit and with a good shower. Great spa. Quietly located and excellent value for money. I have travelled quite a bit in my lifetime and I can say with certainty that I have paid a lot more for a lot worse accommodation, thus in my opinion Panorama, you are right up there providing excellent value for money.

A couple of kilometres north of Levin is extra distance well travelled for an economic stay. While the facilities are a bit dated the service also has the charm of a previous age, with some nice personal touches, all for a reasonable price. Laundry is free for a cold wash (including laundry powder) - plus $1 for each 15 minutes for dryer time. Comfortable bed.

Over a number of years my wife and I have stayed at Panorama Court. It has always offered excellent standards of comfort and cleanliness to the point that it now feels less like visiting a motel and more like visiting an old friend. Very good value, in fact little niceties like a bowl of sweets in the room is something that you don't get in some higher priced motels. If you are stopping in Levin, then you can't, in my opinion, do better than stay at Panorama Court. A few minutes drive to the main shops in Levin, coffee shops and cafes etc
