This is a fantastic location! They gave us a free upgrade from the junior suite to a master suite. We had an amazing balcony facing the Arenal volcano with a fantastic view. The hotel was quiet and the pool was inviting. The restaurant had reasonable prices and was ok food. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you have a car as it is not very close to town.

Service was great. Quiet location and excellent views. It seems like an older hotel, but overall clean and in decent condition. Sounds isolation between rooms is pretty poor; I could easily hear others talking in adjacent rooms. Breakfast was good.

This hotel is actually in El Castillo, not in La Fortuna as advertised by our travel agent, TravelbyJen. The hotel is beautiful and as pictured on their website. The view of the volcano, the infinity pool and the location, close to a lot of the regions's tourist attractions but in quiet farmland, are great. The hotel style rooms (there are quite a few private bungalows) while very large, lack amenities. Our room was clearly built for a king-sized bed - instead there was a queen and a single - so lighting was inconvenient. There was a small closet (ie., not big enough for hangers) with a safe, a desk and one end table for storage. Coffee maker only; no fridge, no microwave, no hairdryer, and no access to ice. The bathroom, again large and attractively done in faux antique wood paneling, had spotless small, thin, scratchy mismatched towels and one hand towel. The queen bed was uncomfortable and had very low thread count sheets and flat pillows (which we actually like!) The a/c worked well and had a drying feature which was fabulous for drying wet clothes and bathing suits in record time (for Costa Rica!). Balcony had a great volcano view and two rocking chairs. The restaurant, Loma Linda, is reasonably priced (for tourist Costa Rica) but plain and not what one would expect for a destination restaurant. The view is definitely the main attraction at this hotel and restaurant.

Great basic clean hotel with an amazing view of and proximity to Arenal volcano. If you want great shots of it, this is the perfect place to take them. 10 mins to Arenal Volcano National Park, 15 mins to Tabacon hot springs, 30 mins to La Fortuna and the Waterfall. Having situated on top of a hill, this hotel is split in multiple little buildings, like cabanas and larger structures like a 2 story building. The rooms are basic but spacious. The bathroom has a large shower space. What we found a bit more surprising for such large room is the lack and versatility of storage. There was a small wardrobe but barely any space to hang things. Especially when we returned drenched from constant rains and to dry things out after waterfall visit and hot springs. Some hooks or hook rack would do wonders. Same for bathroom - only one hook (there were three of us, hence 3 towels to hang) The hotel has a good restaurant on premises, which is open until 9pm, so it was our go-to option for dinner, since we didn’t want to drive in rain and darkness on windy roads to La Fortuna for 30 mins. Small but clean somewhat infinity pool with hot tub overlooking lake Arenal was a huge plus. One huge opportunity - frost or cover bathroom windows in the 2- story building (Room numbers in the 30s). Being 6’3” I had no trouble looking into our window from outside, especially in the dark, when the light in the bathroom is on. Overall great experience for a 3-star hotel off the beaten path with close proximity to all main attractions.

The views are hard to beat for sure, but this is not a place for relaxation or rest. Dogs barking all hours of the day and night, animals living in the walls, incredibly uncomfortable beds. Don't get me started on the restaurant, but plan to eat elsewhere. Additionally, if you're traveling with anyone with any sort of mobility issues, this is not the place for you.

Upon check-in, the friendly and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. They provided me with all the necessary information about the hotel and its amenities. As I made my way to my room, I couldn't help but notice the attention to detail in the hotel's decor. The combination of modern elements with rustic touches created a warm and inviting atmosphere. My room at Hotel Iinda Vista was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully designed. The bed was incredibly cozy, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The room also boasted a stunning view of arenal lake and arenal volcano, and its surrounding landscape. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was a true treat for the senses.

We had a very nice time at linda vista, The hotel offers great views to the arenal volcano and the arenal ake, Most of the rooms has views and so the restaurant The Arenal Volcano is located in the northern part of Costa Rica, near the town of La Fortuna in the Alajuela province. It is part of the Arenal Volcano National Park, which encompasses an area of approximately 29,692 acres (12,016 hectares).
