Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent hotel featuring comfortable rooms we visited with our two children and the room and bathroom were very spacious, indoor pool that allows children was a serious plus as we could enjoy some fun in the evenings after long days of excursions. Very good hotel and very spacious rooms and bathrooms. Nice balcony from where you can see the meteora mountains ( depending on which side of the hotel you stay ). Very large choice for breakfast. Only minus is that you even have to pay ( 7,00€ ) to use the indoor swimming pool.

We are here on a tour. Our tour company set up this hotel. I am feeling generous so I have given a 2 star rating. The room is spacious and common areas are pretty. So I guess 1 star for each of those. Cleanliness is less than expected from a hotel that is rated so high. (Who came up with that rating?) Cleanliness... room was not clean enough for the rating. It was dusty and empty shampoo bottles left in the shower before we arrived. Food... the menu has a mediocre offering at best. It was weak enough of quality options we decided to not even eat here. Through the tour group we have prepaid for breakfast for tomorrow. I'm concerned, looking at the reviews for that meal. Customer service... we went to the spa to use the jacuzzi. We are not spa people so wanted no other services. When we arrived we saw there is a fee for use of the pool and the jacuzzi. I found this strange especially for a 4 star plus hotel but the world has changed and I went with it. We were told the water was 30 Celsius. It was cool at best. When we approached the attendant she stated that is always the temperature and we could not get it free cancelled because it was already in the computer to pay for the morning. This is obviously not true. I have traveled a lot and received refunds because of having to leave early from hotels in this world countries. But apparently that does not work here. Their customer service focuses on the money not the customer. Beware before you start here. A lot of other nice places to stay near here.

Although listed as a Five Star hotel this hotel does not really warrant that and should only be four stars. The rooms were clean, spacious and everything worked but the bathroom really let it down. The shower is only above a small bath with hardly any elbow space (and I'm not especially big) whilst all the towels were well beyond the use by date for a five star hotel. The public areas were much more to the five star standard with pleasant gardens and a good bar area. The large dining room offered buffet service at breakfast and dinner with both having a great variety of choices, all of which were well cooked, tasty and plentiful. Well outside the town so nice and quiet for a relaxing stay and although I didn't use it an attractive pool are and a spa/wellness centre.

Located in the mountains. Very elegant lobby. Rooms large and comfortable. In order for air conditioning to work you have to call the receptionist and she turns it on. Towels have seen better days and need to be replaced. Very low water pressure.

You will not get a better view of the meteora. This is truly a five star hotel. The staff were super friendly. Rooms are large and spotless. Bathrooms are clean and filled with good travel product. The grounds are spotless and nice to walk around. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into Kalabaka. The town is quaint with many food options.

This is a okay place to stay, but there are better in the Kastraki/Kalabaka area by far. The biggest downfall is location. If you don't have a car, this is a 20 minute walk down a windy one way road to anything. The restaurant is okay and has limited hours with "snacks" between, but again we found amazing restaurants in Kalabaka and even Kalastraki. The hotel was eerily empty and pool was not open during the hours we were told. The rooms were clean, but the bed was very hard. We could see discarded furniture and trash from our balcony which didn't make for great pictures of Meteora from our window.

The Meteora hotel is a great option to enjoy an amazing view of Meteora’s magical landscape. Nice pool, good location (5 min drive to the city center), and perfectly clean. The room was Ok but AC was not enough to make very hot summer nights tolerable.

Great views but a long way from the village without a car. Beds very hard with plastic mattress protector! Room decor very dated, with basin not level and terrible lighting. Staff courteous but poor food selection and quality. Advertised pool is indoors and warm and an extra charge of €7 pp. we couldn’t recommend it. Meteora is a unique place and definitely worth visiting.

From the outside it looked great, but the inside was kitsch and vulgar. No expense had been spared but the result was terrible. Acres of mirror smooth marble floor with unexpected changes of level and trip hazards. Staff grumpy and unhelpful, food indifferent. The rooms are big but very badly decorated and gloomy. If you like pink tiled bathrooms with silver trim, this is the place for you. Caution- dangerous hairdryers. Pool and spa never seem open when guests are around. Very poor porter service. Not 5 star- avoid.
