We wanted to stay here 2 years ago but it was full on our dates. We chose another hotel in Korcula near the Old Town and made a plan to visit the” Aminess Lume “ whilst there. We rented a car for a day, visited some other areas of this very scenic island and turned up un-announced mid afternoon. We were greeted by Darija who was courteous, helpful and answered all of our questions. She also gave us a comprehensive tour of the hotel and its facilities. We were impressed by the quality of the fixtures/ fittings and the workmanship used on the last recent re-fit of this 70’s origin hotel. It looked and felt clean and fresh. We were offered a cold drink and a towel back in reception and invited to take a dip in the pool/ sea before heading off. Excellent customer relations for non guests! We decided there and then that it actually was just as it looked in the pictures, the sea really was that clear and should we ever be fortunate enough to return to Korcula in need of a weeks rest, then this was the hotel for us. On return to the UK we mentioned it to friends and showed them pictures, the response was “can we come next time!” So, we booked for the following September, 2020 which was postponed due to the dreaded Covid, till this Sept 2021. We ( 3 couples ) have just returned from a superb week here, a long awaited and much needed holiday/ rest for us all and despite the weather forecast, we had long sunny days in the mid 20’s. One of our friends has limited mobility but can do steps with help, the room they were allocated was superb for access to all areas, the other 2 rooms were in the same main block. The same friend was taken ill mid week and once again Darija stepped up to the plate and organised a driver to pick up some meds from a Pharmacy and get them to us quickly. She also arranged our Covid tests for return to the UK, transport to and from the clinic In Korcula Old Town and the loan of a wheelchair. What a star! We all agreed that the long 3 ish hour transfer from Dubrovnik was worth it, the location of the hotel is quite simply beautiful, it was spotlessly clean, hand sanitizer was available on or near all exit/entry points and all staff we encountered were masked, courteous and helpful. Despite it being the last week of the season there was a plentiful, good choice of nice freshly prepared food right up to our last evening meal. My only criticism here is like others, any drink like water/ tea/ coffee/ juice which is readily available at breakfast, has to be purchased during the dinner service. Of course you expect to pay for alcohol but surely the profit margins can’t be that tight and complimentary water/tea/ coffee could be made available in the evenings? Must be a Croatian thing as it was the same at the last hotel we visited. Shame. There are some very scenic walks/ runs from the doorstep here, 4 of us were able to take the walk down into the bay, along the other side and up to a communication tower, some of the views were a sight for sore eyes and there are a few places to take in a cold one one on the way back! In conclusion, a lovely, well kept hotel in a beautiful peaceful location with attentive, helpful staff. We would have given it a 5 if not for the dinner drinks situation.

We spent a weekend in August at the hotel which was the perfect end to our holiday. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better - just steps away from a small beach. The room was great, we had so much space and the bed was super comfortable, but we must especially point out the wonderful sea view from the room, the most beautiful ever. The hotel staff is incredible, available for any questions and recommendations and always with a smile on their face. The breakfasts were  also great, as well as our a la carte lunch at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Aminess Lume Hotel! If ever we return to Korcula this is the place we will stay

Outstanding & Great location, the rest is unsatisfactory unless you paid less than $100/night! Newly renovated tiny rooms that have still remnant of the 1970 building of this resort. Beware its not recommended for young kids and older folks, built on the side of a steep hill with NO Guard rails, pavement is very rough and uneven! One wrong step your in the hospital. Croatia a n general is every risky because safety protocols are missing or not enforced. The sea deck is wonderful, again beware it getting really windy in the afternoon, the tiled platform can be very slippery and ent ry & exiting into the water can leave you with scrapes andbloody scratches. If they improved on safety and food this place could be outstanding cut inside ring the tiny rooms at NYC prices. They claim its a 4star but factually its probably a 2.5-3!!l The staff was terrific including the check in English speaking from Canada clerk, who was very good and full of information. The ads in general on bookin.com are misleading because the general rule on booking a room is that prices care base on PER PERSON. so when you see $129, it s per person based on double occupancy otherwise you will be responsible for the additional cost, to be fair its buried in the small fine print. Parking is poor, hard to find a space and very dangerous so beware. We are a family of 4, two young children in a family room no bigger than 200sqft or 18sqmeter and a tiny bathroom for enough room to turn around to do your business and a nice shower. The it was a balcony with great views with paint that was chipping, rust and holes from a previous era. They did a good job of giving this place a makeup. If your looking for a beach vacation and with excellent sandy sunny beaches and 5 Star hotel head for the Caribbean. With a similar rate the hotels can be extraordinary large.your private pool and good food. Its too bad because we purchased the meal plan, which is a great deal but short on the food. However it didn't matter include lunch, so purchasing lunch every day there it was very good but the key word was purchasing. I would suggest they provide no dinner( breakfast in my options non should always be included). They have the capability of provided by good meals , dessert only when their purchased. For dinner buffet, its very common for waiters to us by water, not here because water means bottled water which has to be purchased when they have great quality of tap water. Beware some of tap the local restauRants can be outstanding but NYC pricing and some are deceiving bad and pricey, consider the first and you will have a great experience. This town is very very small with only a few restaurants to choose from, so consider other towns for dinner. Please note, we would definitely return to the beautiful island of Korcula and Croatia. Earlier I mentioned the location was outstanding, so we would return, the children will have their own room as we would and for food, we would just consider purchasing a la carte. I hope management reads this so that most of what described being negative is an easy fix, lending itself to fantastic hotel resort destination as its marketed as. Hopefully they can enlarge the rooms to give travelers some space! since this hotel chain is quite large they should consider providing the size of the rooms, so folks traveling from the otherwise of the planet are forewarned of the size. However management makes sure the size of its rooms do not appear any where on their websites. I believe its the same strategy that their complicit in with their other similar hotels, where small is a very common denominator from the Communist past of building accommodation s either for residents or travelers alike. Perhaps another option is to demolish old tired communist build resorts to modern capitalist country it has become!. Cheers

This hotel is simply beautiful. It is clean, well maintained and all rooms have a fantastic sea view of the harbour in the small fishing village of Brna. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and can’t do enough for you.The rooms are lovely and the food and drink in the restaurant and pool bar is great. You can choose to have buffet style food or à la carte in the restaurant or you can eat at one of the small restaurants in the harbour. It’s quiet and peaceful and only a short drive from Korcula town. Thank for a wonderful stay. Beautiful.
