Went on 27th August for 11 nights with my partner, 10yr old daughter, and 13yr old niece.
The hotel itself is beautiful, spacious, very clean and really quite impressive, we paid £100 on arrival to upgrade to a suite which we thought was great value but when you talk to peaple you meet, it appears that everyone gets a diffarent price for the same offer? Every single person we spoke to paid a diffarent price for the same "upgrade"!....heres more not so good bits....
You que for litrally EVERYTHING! food, drinks,even the lift! We only managed to get a bed at the pool once in 11 nights, and that was only because i happened to wake up at 6.20am! Even at that time almost all of them were gone!
Wasnt any great loss in the end as the pool was really rowdy and packed!
We ended up down the beach because its the only place you can get a bed!
Absolutly ZERO entertainment at the hotel whatsoever, not even 1 single show, if you go to the island on the beach there is a little entertainment but ram packed.
We ended up eating out most of out time as the food was rubbish,and im not fussy at all so that says a lot! we spent an absolute fortune eating out!
All in all we were grateful just to get away to the sun, but they need to lower the stars of this hotel, or improve the service? It was exhausing standing in a que in 45* heat day in day out, we wont go back.

The fees for the suite rooms depend on the length of stay, the booked room and full payers, so it can be different for everyone. Our culinary offer caters for our international guest structure and our kitchen team strives to serve a varied menu of international and traditional dishes. Within corona virus measures, only the staff on duty distributes beverages. the distance between employees should be provided as well ,therefore, there may be short waiting times which we compensate by opening more bars and longer opening times. We have currently soft entertainment in place which includes day and evening entertainment due to covid 19. We arrived at the Eftalia Ocean on the 27th July myself , my parter, and two children .
Jet2 were amazing from start to finish, the transfer is about an hour and a half but once you arrive it’s worth it .
First impressions the hotel is super clean and modern and there is a member of staff outside spraying the suitcases on arrival , check in went very smooth and we found our room on the 4th floor easily .
We had a double family room and it was very spacious and clean . It had a mini fridge that was restocked daily and tea and coffee .
We loved the onsite shopping area and myself and my partner had an amazing spa and Turkish bath which wasn’t expensive at all .
The pool area was clean , every night the staff cleaned it all and tidied up for the next day .
Yes you do need to get done early to get sunloungers but there are always some spare near the water slides if needed .
Fresh towels were given to us everyday from the spa and they give you a card to hand in each day .
The water slides were so much fun and no big queues to get on them .
Eftalia island was great fun , watersports , restaurants and more aqua parks and pools .
You can get pizza included at the chill out bar with your band which was amazing and waffles chicken and chicken kebabs which are delicious. We didn’t have to queue for that long . Cocktails aren’t included but they were €6 if you want a treat and you can get ice lollies on the resort everyday included as well .
A scoop of ice cream on the island is €1 Euro .
The food wasn’t amazing but we found something to eat every day , I’m a vegetarian and I ate pasta and salad . The desserts were beautiful and the patisserie was lovely .
We had such a lovely week away especially after all the covid 19 , it was relaxing and we felt very safe .
Evenings are quiet but we sat outside and played cards and there was a little disco on Saturday night .

Breakfast is OK, one day we missed it (we wasn't bothered) we went to burgerland to find scrambled eggs, sausages,continental breakfast bread jam/chocolate. It was enjoyable, the next day we decided to go there again.Wow what a mistake. It was awful boiled eggs, bread or sausage. The eggs I think where boiled the week before our arrival. After that we had breakfast out. Lunch. We tried to miss as you knew what was for dinner. It is the same day in day out. I lived on salad and chips. My grand daughter who is 6 lived on chips and pasta as there is nothing for kids (nuggets, pizzas etc) we would go to burgerland later on for her to get a burger. We have stayed at a lot of All Inclusive hotels and never have we had to pay for so much extra as you do at this one. If you want orange juice in the morning ice cream,cocktails these and more are chargeable. The tiles in and around the pool are leathel. They are so slippy.
The pool side bar at the end of the evening is cleaned by getting a window cleaning blade and scraping any spills on to the floor. You can imagine the smell it is awful. If the hotel was to address the food issue and it is a major issue then this hotel would be a lot better. It was a last min change for us due to everything going on would we return...No unfortunately not.

Hotel is nice, rooms are good and pools and water slides good. But many issues the hotel need to fix which I have fed back about. Hotel is tiled everywhere and is a slip hazzard throughout, I witnessed at least 80 people slip over inside hotel and mainly by the pools as the tiles are like a ice rink when wet. But the response was we have wet floor signs out. Be careful thats all I say, I slipped over and was just standing when my feet gave way and injured my knee. Bedroom basic cleaning, No bed sheets changed for 4 days even though I asked every day and bed cover is like a towel. No Bathroom door just sliding doors on shower and toilet. Paper cups for tea and coffee in room. Under bed not cleaned as was dirty bed frame. All- Inclusive well limited drinks most you have to pay for inculding 1 euro for orange juice at breakfast. Food is very very poor and was told that we do not cater for English. Breakfast lunch and dinner are the same apart for a small selection of dishes that are really not worth eating, amount of wasted food here is unbelievable but quality is poor so guess thats why. Most people I spoke to ate out in the town. No pets allowed at hotel but they have cats walking around the restaurant. face mask given at entrance to restaurant but they serve you not wearing mask and over crowded with people no social distancing at all.witnessed staff serving food putting food back on plates that had fallen off. Full hotel so no chance of social distancing apart from removing a few sunbeds to make a little space but have to be up at 6am just to get a sunbed even though they say no reserving before 8am or staff will remove towels, yeah right. I have read the negative comments here and I would agree with most of them. This 5* hotel is at the bottom scale of a 5* Its a bit like flying a budget airline compared with a real airline. I will post photos on my Instagram account @mark_w27 in the next few days. I did have a refund issue with the hotel but this is not for here to discuss. however I was only to recieve the correct amount if I signed a paper saying that I will not write any negative comments about the hotel from the manager. So I let the money go and wrote a honest opinion of my stay. The reservations center also said to me if I complain again they would get security to throw me out of the hotel, this is not very good customer service. If the hotel reads this please can you clean the steps from level L to level 1 as there is chewing gum and broken face mask on the steps the entire week i was there. Which just shows me your cleaning is poor standards.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 nights, we had a 2 bedroom family room on the 4th floor. The room itself was lovely, spacious and clean when we arrived however we soon noticed some issues. Had we been a family with young children you aren’t able to lock the balcony door and there’s only one sink, toilet and shower which would be a struggle with a whole family trying to get ready. The room at night was also ridiculously loud, the walls are paper thin and you can hear the fairground noise until midnight. The food is bad, the choice is very small with most dishes repeated for lunch and dinner daily. The only good sections were the soups and grill outside, other than that it was all the same. Most of the food on the buffet is stewed meat, which is not appealing in 40+ degree heat. The staff are mostly unhelpful, when we checked in we were handed a piece of paper with the meal times on and a little information about the hotel but that was all. Nothing was explained to us, not even where the pool, restaurant or beach were. On the piece of paper it stated that sun beds can only be reserved after 8am, before this the towels etc are removed - so on our first day we went down at 8am to find every sun bed taken. My boyfriend ended up getting up at 6:30am every day so that we were able to get a sun bed near the pool, this was exhausting as we were unable to sleep early due to the noise. Another thing to note is how many things are additional to the all inclusive, I’ve never stayed all inclusive and had to pay for so many extras. I also didn’t like that a lot of the extras were aimed at kids, things like popcorn, slush puppies and candy floss where you walk to the pool are all extra. They even go around with a cart of slush in the afternoons to sell them. The location of the hotel is not good if you want to go anywhere, it’s in the middle of no where and cost us around £24 to get a taxi into Alanya and back for the afternoon. The shop in the hotel and near by are all aimed at tourists and everything is priced in euros and is extremely expensive. A share bag of crisps in the hotel was €2 approx 17 lira, in a supermarket in Alanya the same crisps were 6.5 lira so you are very much overcharged. The only good thing was the Sunday market, it was very big with many options for presents and clothes/bags for the family. We would never go back to this hotel or any under the brand and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else, it’s really unfortunate as the hotel itself is beautiful and had so much potential.

Went here on the 17th of August returning with my family on the 27th
This is the 1st time I've ever left a review 🙈 but I think it helps a lot as I constantly look at reviews before booking a holiday myself...
the hotel is outstanding to look at the slides are brilliant also 😃 and its so lovely and clean
the staff are miserable especially boy that does the eggs in the mornings 😡
awful and mde me feel very uncomfortable..
i feel as though they don't particularly like the "English" & certainly wouldn't go out of their way to help us'😔

Constantly pushing into the queues with out a word" which gt right under my skin 🤬

So spent most of us nights walking around bored!! Mde me want to get home tbh..
So we ended up going to the Harbour at nights £10 each way unless you book a restaurant and they pickup for free and drop you off 😉 well worth it 👌
If they sored there food and entertainment out' this hotel would blow most hotels out of the water 😁 weather was amazing 43 most days just shame it was far to overcrowded

As part of the coronavirus measures, the social distance between the employees must also be guaranteed, so there may be short waiting times, which we try to balance by extending the opening times of the restaurant and several bars open at the same time. Because of these restrictions for covid 19 , shows in theaters, parties, mini disco or disco are not allowed if social distance regulations can not be guaranteed. This was our first time at Eftalia Ocean, as previously I had stayed at Eftalia village, and loved it, this time we thought to try out Eftalia Ocean. I stayed here with my husband and our 2 boys 17yrs and 12yrs. We absolutely loved the hotel, it was so nice and clean, friendly staff and all of them were taking COVID precautions, wearing masks. We arrived at around midnight, our luggage was sprayed before entering the hotel, even tho there were a lot of people checking in, it all went fast and smoothly. We were offered a family room, which I was told would be bigger than the one we had for an extra £50, which was good, but I didn’t take the offer. The room we had was very sufficient for us, one double bed, a single and a sofa bed and there was still plenty of room for us to walk around. We were on the 5th floor and had a lovely view of the swimming pools in front of us.
I enjoyed the food, I have 2 fussy boys but even they managed to eat something, if not they would just go to burger land and eat there, it was open 24hrs which was fab, quite often I would find them downstairs eating at 2am. The swimming pools were lovely, always lots of space in them, as there were pools at the hotel and island, we were never at the pool first thing but still always managed to get atleast two sun chairs at the pool area. My eldest loved eating at the island where u could get waffles and kfc style chicken.
My son loved the water slides, he did prefer the slides at the island as he said they were faster than the ones at the hotel, whereas for me the hotels were fast enough.
We would go to the bazar in the evenings which wasn’t too far away. And also we caught a bus to go to Alanya, with the bus stay not far from the hotel.
The hotel had entertainment at the island but we didn’t go to it, but heard it was good.
We booked tours from the beach and make sure to haggle for a good price, we did the quad bikes and jeep safari and loved both.

I’ve been to Marmaris and I was really looking forward to our trip to Turkey which as a whole still was very good but Eftalia Ocean hotel and there staff are incredibly rude and ignorant. From serving you drinks that when you ask for a different glass not a plastic child’s cup you are basically slagged of in Turkish in front of your face. To asking for a bit of extra food on your plate for your children again the staff think you are asking for you to spoon fed you.
There customer relations need to actually go on a customer relation course as the only help they seem to know is we cannot do that. This was simply asking to print 4 boarding passes as easyJet mobile app was down. All whilst she was printing some document herself. The only place you can book the a la carte restaurant is via again the customer relations office which I think they have forgot to mention that to the department which also is basically the left over food from lunch and this is not a exaggeration. You can also only book once there after is a £15 per person charge I personally would not waste your time the only positive from the a la carte restaurant you do get table service and there is no feeding frenzy like always in main restaurant to which no one understands a queuing system well only the British it seems, if you don’t push in yourself then you will wait a while for your food.

We booked for Eftalia village but it was cancelled due to the pandemic so re-booked for Eftalia Ocean upon arrival we were offered an upgrade to a family 2 room apartment which was well worth the money. We have an 8 year old and a 4 year old and were a little worried about travelling due to covid but the staff do everything they can to make you feel welcome and safe. We absolutely loved the holiday there was so much for the kids to do with water slides and treats on the island. A lot of reviews from fellow UK residents have complained about the food but we had no problem apart from the dining room being a bit chaotic. I am a fussy eater as are my children and the choices are more directed to Russian and Turkish guests but it is great to try something new the food was fine with a fresh grill every day or the island serving Chicken and chips, kebabs, waffles or pizza in the chill out bar not to mention the 24 hour burgerland. Overall we had one of our best holidays abroad the staff were fantastic and polite and great with our children. We don't normally visit the same place twice but are already looking to book again for next year an absolute amazing holiday.

We are a family of 7 who are still here as I write this. So the resort is great for kids and quite nice. The slides are good with life guards controlling the people using them. The rooms are lovely and spacious and cleaners are very good. The downside is the food. We didn’t expect everything to be as good as normal due to the restrictions with COVID. Although they have screens and people serving the food itself is very poor. Too many people crammed into the hotel which results in lining up constantly which has led to a lot of frustration due to how hot it is in the food hall which in turn led to many fights breaking out. To little staff and too many people! In all we have witnessed approximately about 8 fights between families.
I have one member who is vegetarian! This has been a nightmare due to the food not being labelled sufficiently. If you ask the staff member serving if it’s vegetarian they say I don’t know!! Many times you are unable to get a table and you have to wait in the sweltering heat which is very uncomfortable. We have spent a lot of money going for meals out because the food is so bad.
The bars normally only have one person serving! The lines can be horrendous! For both food and drink! You spend most of your time lining up. The drinks are not up to much either!
Because of our experience here I asked if we could keep our rooms for an extra 2 hours without charge due to having to spend so much on meals out. Point blank No!! The staff are unhelpful and just said it’s a Turkish holiday so that’s why it’s so busy! In a pandemic you expect they would run on a lower capacity. Far far too busy with very rude people.
Sun beds are take by about 7.30 / 8.00 every morning. Kids are allowed to be screaming in the pool from anything from about 7 in the morning. Staff are not bothered and say nothing.
I would not return here because of the rude staff and the awful food. We paid so much money to come here and had to spend a lot more on food. Out of courtesy they could have at least kept the rooms free of charge.
Put a complaint in with Jet 2 during my stay along with many others!

Our culinary offer caters for our international guest structure and our kitchen team strives to serve a varied menu of international and traditional dishes. Within corona virus measures, only the staff on duty distributes beverages. the distance between employees should be provided as well ,therefore, there may be short waiting times which we compensate by opening more bars and longer opening times. The reason for the queues in the main restaurant, bars and similar areas is the result of the measures of corona virus measures. We are sorry that you were bothered by other guests, our staff do their best to be on site and solve problems like these immediately..
