In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with
luxury residential buildings and the scene is
constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama
park and Togoshi park are great places to see
beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as
well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a
post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish
old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa

Cannot thank the staff of this hotel enough. On Tuesday night our 18 month old son had a suspected allergy attack. The manager called an ambulance and stayed with us to act as an interpreter with the ambulance officers to ensure they knew what was happening. The next morning he c

What a great location for walking and access to the underground transportation. The breakfast buffet was incredible and the staff were very helpful. This building is fully accessible and facilities are great.

This is hotel is conveniently located just across the Osaki JR station. The hotel had a restaurant that also serves breakfast buffet but it is mostly Japanese style. There are other food options available just in front of the hotel - Subway, Burger King, Starbucks, etc. The rooms

Yes no everyone likes the brutalism architecture of the New Otani Tokyo BUT the size of the room is decent (to add an extra bed can be an option), the facilities of the hotel are great in central Tokyo (outside pool, several restaurants, nice Japanese garden) and service is great

Nothing wrong with the New Otani Inn except it has smoking floors which made me feel pretty uncomfortable and even though our floor was deemed non-smoking the odour of cigarettes permeated. The walls and doors were pretty thin also so noise was a bit of an issue. On the positive

When was the last renovation of this hotel?
I am not certain of that, but the room does not seem dated.

how far is 7 chrome-22-17 Nishigotanda from your hotel?
Your address is wrong. If you refer to 7-chome (there is no "chrome" in Japanese address; "chome" is 丁目, a small sector), then it is 1 km to 1.2 km to New Otani Inn on foot, according to Google Maps. You can walk about 7 minutes to the nearby Yamanote Gotanda station and take 1 stop to Osaki station. From there the hotel is 3 minutes away.

Is there any connecting room?
I do not know. You can certainly inquire with the hotel directly by email or fax. In general, in my years of travel in Japan, business hotels (usually called inns) do not have connecting rooms, like the better hotels, such as New Otani Hotels.

I would be checking out at Hotel Monterey Hanzomon in the morning and to check in New Otani Inn Tokyo at 2pm on the same day. May I know how do we get there?
The New Otani is right next to Osaki train station. It is about a 5 min walk.
