Detailed Reviews
Just stayed here for one night ... it is wonderful...our room overlooked the Gai-en park/Akasaka Palace with the tall buildings more than a mile away. When the ginkgo trees change color, it must be an awesome view. The hotel is of course basically brand new and it is wonderfully designed with a lot of wood, gray slate walls, a walk-in shower/ tub that is quite spacious and chic, and the beds were large with excellent linens.
No cheap towels here, they are large and fluffy. The restaurant downstairs is a bit expensive but also very chic with many well appointed Tokyoite customers. They even have a grass lawn with chairs where you can have coffee or lounge about next to the park. It is true that it’s right next to the highway and a railway but inside the rooms is quite quiet at least on the ninth floor. Clearly it would be best to face away from that side if possible. The rooms are not large but not so cramped that you can’t get through. The balcony is very nice... like an extension to the room with floor to ceiling windows.
Will definitely be back!

Quiet location near Olympic stadium but close to 2 subway lines - one next door and second one few minute walk, 2 stops to Shinjuku. Walking distance to Meiji Jingu shrine. Ideal location if you want a break from the noise and crowd. Comfy beds, good size bathroom. Coin laundry (500Y including detergent) and vending machines on the 2nd floor. Breakfast buffet includes western and Japanese food but dishes are the same for 3 days. Would help to have some variation. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. We shipped a medium-size suitcase to Kyoto for <2000Y. Perfect hotel for our first leg of the trip to recover from jet lag and not break the bank.

Thank you for having stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier and taking the time to provide us a valuable feedback for your previous stay. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel, and your compliments make us extremely happy. We also do think that our Hotel location is convenient since it is at about 1 minutes walking from the Kokuritsu-Kyogijo station. There is also the JR Sendagaya and JR Shinanomachi station at 5 and 6 minutes walking each. It can be a good location to reach the famous sightseeing place. On the other hand, we regret to lean that our breakfast did not completely satisfied you regarding the menu. We will share your opinion to the related department and think of other menu for our guests. Once again, your feedback is highly appreciated. You are a valued guest and we hope to have the opportunity to exceed your expectations. Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier Front Office Manager

This is the BEST hotel for anyone basing themselves in toyko. It has a subway right beside (30 sec walk!) on the pink oedo line (stop is called kokuritsu-kyogijo station) or a casual half hour walk to Shibuya central. it's nice and quiet in a lovely suburban area, the staff are SO polite and friendly, the rooms are small (smaller than most rooms we have stayed in - there isn't alot of space for luggage etc) but it's efficient, the shower is amazing, amienties great, gym and public baths on 3rd floor, open rooftop with beanbags for watching sunset, amazing buffet breakfast (high standard), great coffee & bakery, modern sleek restaurant for evening meal but the highlight for me is the view from our balcony of mount Fuji and the sunsets. The hotel feels brand new and I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting toyko. Great value for money too!

Thank you very much for having chosen our brand new Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier among a number of hotels and taking the time to review our property. We are delighted to learn that you enjoyed many aspects of your stay including our location, our hotel staff, ur facilities as the public bath, gym and rooftop terrace and our breakfast. As you mentioned, we are in front of the subway station named Kokuritsu Kyogijo Station, and it could be very convenient to sightseeing the famous places in Tokyo. On the other hand, w feel sad to learn that you were not satisfied with the size our room. Our room size are actually in the standards of Tokyo, however, if we may suggest, we have 9 different room categories available and our rooms vary in size. We kindly ask you to check which room would suit you better. Once again, we sincerely appreciate the comment you provide us. We hope you will give us the opportunity to welcoming you back to Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingugaien Tokyo Premier in the near future. Front Office Manager

We booked a total of 4 nights for the hotel and immediately regret our hotel choice when we arrived.
The hotel room was very dusty and we can literally see dust flying around the room the moment we entered the room. When we tried to draw the curtains, we can see lot of dust flying off and it triggered my allergic cough. Luckily there was a air purifier which we left it on and it got better the next day. However, rashes started appearing on both arms of my daughter. As a result, we avoid drawing the curtains to use the balcony as it was really very dusty. Despite the bed was nice done daily, rubbish cleared daily and new towels were provided daily, they clearly do not vacuum the floor or clean the surface of the table/side tables as stains are visible on the table and balls of dust built up behind the curtains.
The hotel room was beautiful decorated but impractical for usage. There are no hooks to place your clothes or towels in the shower area while you showered. Although there is a towel line, but it is more for drying of the towels after the shower. The room was also so cramp that we were not able to open our 28" luggage at any corner of the room, except on the bed or the balcony. In addition, the dust bins are so small that it can only fit 1 mineral water bottle.
The coin-operated laundry facilities provided were also not working well. 1 had a problem with coin drop, and the other has a problem with cashless payment system, which refused to boot up correctly. In addition, we followed the instruction on weight limit and the clothes didn't dry up after 3 cycles of 30min. We ended up sunning them at the balcony. Interesting, we aren't the ones sunning our clothes at the balconies as we also saw other balconies sunning clothes. Clothes which the staff collected on behalf from the dryers were also not returned to us correctly and we found missing clothes. Upon checking, 1 out of the 3 bags were not returned to us.
The location is near to a train station but there are limited eateries nearby. And the nearest convenience shop (ministop) is also 400m away, while lawson and 7-11 are 600m away. Only consolation is the inhouse bakery that closed at 8pm, and vending machines at level 2.
There was also limited interaction with the hotel staff as we were always directed to the auto check in or check out machines while other guests were being serviced by the counters.
Only nice thing were the comfortable beds.
Overall, not a great experience.

Stayed for two nights in February.
Hotel: recent hotel, well decorated. Nice modern onsens on the second floor, as well as vending machines and washing machines (statuses can be seen on the room TV, as well as whether the onsens are busy or not). Nice roof top with a great view on Tokyo and Mount Fuji (on a clear day). Good wifi speed.
Room: we had a twin bed room and it felt quite small. No space between the beds and around the beds. Little space to open luggage.
They should probably remove the small table and two chairs to make some room.
Standard rooms with a double bed may feel more spacious (as bed would take less space).
Two water bottles/cans were provided each day.
Nice clean balcony, with a view on a busy road but also Mount Fuji. Pyjamas were provided (one size).
Nice bathroom and toilet. As we were going to the onsen, we didn't use the bathroom much.
Restaurant/Breakfast: Italian restaurant was good but overpriced and limited choices. Good breakfast choices/buffet (including option to ask for Egg Benedict's to be cooked on demand) but can get quite busy.
Nice onsite bakery offering quality items.
Location: in a quiet area. A short walk to two metro/JR stations. However, not much around the hotel when it comes to restaurant or shops. A small convenience store at the JR station (5 minutes away). If you don't want to do long walks in the evening or take public transports to get to a restaurant/busy street, this is not the right hotel to stay in.
If you come/go to Haneda airport, will require several changes.
Close to Shinjuku park, but entrance is at the opposite.
Conclusion: no real issues with this hotel and some positives, but probably some better options/locations, larger twin bed rooms.

Thank you very much for choosing to stay at Mitsui Garden Hotel Jingu Gaien Mouri Premier during your time in Tokyo. We truly appreciate your valuable feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the modern public bath on the second floor and the magnificent views of Tokyo and Mount Fuji from the rooftop. We are also pleased to know that you found the hotel's interior design favorable and were satisfied with the convenience of the vending machines and laundry facilities. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the size of the twin bed room. Due to limited space, it may have been difficult to comfortably open your luggage. We have taken note of your suggestion regarding removing the small table and chairs to create more space. Thank you for your kind words about the cleanliness of the bathroom and toilet. We apologize for the high prices and limited options at the Italian restaurant. However, we are glad that you enjoyed the delicious breakfast choices and the made-to-order Eggs Benedict. We are also pleased to hear that you were satisfied with the hotel's bakery and its high-quality products. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the location of the hotel. We stayed at the Mitsui Jingugaien from 9th-14th February. We were so pleased we picked this hotel and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel is right opposite the new Olympic stadium and two minutes walk from Kokuitsu-Kyogijo Station (Oedo Line) and 7minutes from Sendagaya Station(Chou Line). Additionally you have Shinjuku Gyoen National garden close by and can walk easily to Shinjuku if required. Hotel rooms are spotlessly clean and reasonably spacious for Tokyo. Very modern features in the room and we were very comfortable. Breakfast is great in the restaurant downstairs and the onsen and gym were very good. Staff are helpful and friendly and accommodated our request to change rooms to one facing Shinjuku. We will definitely stay here again.

Booked 2 rooms with this hotel for 5 days and will not be back. Rooms are incredibly tiny and uncomfortable. Had to maneuver around our luggage and bed in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Floor was dirty (sticky black residue with feet marks) when we arrived. 3 stars because I gave them an opportunity to remedy since I requested to have it mopped/disinfected with room service. They still did not mop it and we just had to deal with floor dirty. Luckily they provided slippers (the ones in the closet were clean and new - do not use their leather used slippers- gross). Walls were dirty as well. Definitely not worth the price. Will stick with Marriott/Hilton/IHG hotels.

My husband and I stayed here for six days in January. We loved our stay, the room was clean and comfortable and a good size by Tokyo hotel standards, the bed was comfortable I was 5 months pregnant and was able to get a good sleep in the bed. Every room has a decent size balcony.
There are vending machines to get drinks/snacks from and laundry facilities. You can check the availability of the machines from your hotel tv which was so handy.
We had dinner in the restaurant one night which was really tasty and we had the buffet breakfast one of the mornings that had plenty of tasty options. The staff were also really helpful and friendly. There is a rooftop terrace and on a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji.
The location of the hotel was ideal, we were right by a subway station and also within a 20 minute walking distance of Harajuku.
Would absolutely recommend this hotel, if we ever are lucky enough to come back to Tokyo we would book this hotel again.

Stayed for 2 nights after a long flight from London. Nice modern hotel close to the national stadium.
We expected a small room as it was Tokyo. Nicely appointed room with a very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and an amazing toilet! TV had chromecast facility to share content which was helpful. WiFi was strong and stable throughout our stay.
Downside our room on the 6th floor backed on to the railway line and was quite noisy at night.
Buffet breakfast was adequate. Lots of options although western options were more limited.
Location is quiet but close to the subway line and only 2 stops from Roppongi where there are plenty of eating and drinking options. Given the lack of options in the immediate facility it was a shame the bar closed so early (930pm).
Reception staff rarely acknowledged our presence when we walked past - not sure if that is a Japanese thing but didn’t seem welcoming. Restaurant staff on the other hand were very friendly.
No concierge desk as such although one of the check in staff was very helpful organising out taxi to Tokyo station

The staff in Shinjuku were very friendly. They have a storage room in case check in time was still hours ahead, which you can leave your heavy luggages and explore outside until 3 pm. And breakfast had a broad variety - It was awesome and quiet despite lots of people. The rooftop viewing deck is also accessible and shows an awesome view of the Tokyo 2020 stadium. Will definitely recommend for the next short Tokyo trip.

About 11,000 Yen or $75 US.
Dear Sandy Klein
Thank you very much for asking.
Unfortunately, we do not have shuttle bus from airports to our hotel.
If I can recommend you, there is 2 option to reach our hotel:
1. The shuttle bus (name Limousine bus, 3,200JPY per person) from the Haneda airport until the Shinjuku station (around 1h30)
2. The Keihin airport line from the Haneda Airport until The Daimon station.
At the Daimon station, please take the Toei Oedo Line until the Kokuritsu Kyogijo stattion. At this station, the closest exit will be the A1 exit. Our hotel will be on the right side (1min walking)
If you have any concerns or further question, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime.
Best regards,
Front desk
