Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.
While people complain about this APA hotel, the fact is you get what you pay for. They could easily stay in the Shangri-La or Ritz-Carlton but decide to rag on a budget option.

No air conditioning just a 'warm air option', for anyone that needs a cool room to sleep in, definitely avoid staying at this hotel! Pillows are also really flat and not very comfortable. Staff are helpful and hotel is near several train options.More

This is a typical APA hotel: close enough to a train/subway line, tiny and clean. I generally book with APA because I know I will get a good night's sleep. However, there are always a few annoyances and the three that might bother people are:...More

There are some trains from Haneda airport directly to Ningyocho (which is the nearest station from our hotel. It takes 3 minutes by walk from A4 Exit of Ningyocho Sta. to the hotel.),
or you have to transfer a few times.

Narita airport is about an hour/hour and half away and is roughly £20-£35 depending on which service you get. One of those services which joins the Asakusa line (roughly every hours to T2) takes you all the way to Ningyocho, but most trains will have a single changeover probably at Aoto. The best thing to do is get a Passmo (oyster style) card at one of the machines at the airport and load it up. You'll have no issues with switching between the various train operators then. Hope that helps and enjoy Tokyo! Ben (Portsmouth)
