Left a few days ago, the location is great, walking distance from Kanda Station, 1 station away from Tokyo or akihabara.
But rooms are tiny, and I'm taking 1 star to all hotels in Japan because they force you to check in at 4, 5 or 6. And checkout is 10-11 ... ridiculous

Hotels in Tokyo are expensive and considering price and location and quality this is the one. It's a new hotel built in 2018. The room is small but a marvel at using the space beautifully. We were two people with two big suitcases. We kept one under the bed and one on the little luggage rack. It worked fine. The bed was great, a very big TV in the room and a great comforter. The breakfast was full and delicious. They give you flat pillows in the room but you can get fuller ones by asking. It is one block from the Kanda subway station so you get to ALL of the tourist sites easily. The staff is sweet, kind and caring, but they speak VERY LITTLE ENGLISH which makes communication and getting tourist info & recommendations very frustrating. Other then that this is a lovely, and great place to stay.

I’d give this rating a ZERO, but it asks for 1-5 . Staff barely speak a lick of English. The air ventilation / conditioning or lack thereof, is horrible! Right now, it’s currently 16c outside, yet in my room, I’ve measured with an infrared tool, it’s 26c! I’ve spoken to staff multiple times about the hot room, and they’ve said that the aircon is centrally controlled — either hot or fan, yet they do the exact same thing — make the room hotter!! I tried to open the window, but the handle to the window was encased / locked from opening. After many complaints, a staff member came to my room with a phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws and then open the window. At this point, I’m considering asking the hotel for a refund by the horrible environment the bedroom has.

Thank you for staying at APA Hotel . The air conditioning system is managed throughout the entire hotel. We are changing the air conditioners according to the outside temperature, so we are lending individual heaters and blowers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and we would appreciate your understanding. The hotel is a 3-minute walk from Kanda Station, with convenient access to Haneda and Narita airports. Although the guest rooms are compact, each room is equipped with high-quality amenities such as a large LCD TV, original "Cloud Fit" wide bed, and high-grade toiletries including toothbrushes and razors. Nice room; might be a little small (but a regular size for most Tokyo places). Wish the breakfast was included. Even though it's located pretty near the train line, we almost couldn't hear the train passing.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. The location is great, just a two hundred meter away from Kanda station. The area is lively and surround by a lot of nice restaurants. The rooms are as you can expect from APA, small but comfy. The check in you do almost by yourself by using the computer in front of the desk. The staff will guide you through the menu. This system is really functional when the staff doesn’t speak proper English. The rooms are clean, cozy and comfy. Check out is really quick. You just drop the room card in a box and you’re good to go. We payed €350 for 3 nights in peak season.

This hotel is situated very close to Kanda Station and well within walking distance. The room was small but perfectly functional. Like all the hotels during this trip (Sept/Oct 2019) the bathroom was small, modular but came equipped with a range of complimentary toiletries, razors, tooth brush etc. The shower was powerful and there were plenty of towels. Everything was very clean. The breakfast buffet was reasonably limited but there was enough for us.We stayed at a couple of the APA chain during our tour and they all provided value for money, had efficient check-in and courteous staff.

Checkin was very quick. It was pretty much self check-in. So was checkout, drop your cards in a box which was great.
Room was smaller than expected although we got a double bed. Not much walking space or room to place luggage. The instruction in room is to put luggage under the bed but my preference is always to have my luggage open and sitting on a chair or stool.
Room service daily.
Was quiet for us though you could hear a passing train on occasion. Will not be suitable for light sleepers.

I needed to be near a mainline station in Tokyo and this seemed to be my best bet. I found it expensive for what it was, but it was indeed conveniently located - between two stations on the Yamanote line, with a clear route to walk along to get to Kanda Station.
Efficient check-in. Small room, but well equipped. Quiet at night. Breakfast not included, but of course Kanda Station has lots of places to eat.
I have often found that when all other hotels are full, APA has room for me.

Online booking via their main website threw up some surprises initially with a wide price discrepancy. Had booked a month ahead and was given a certain rate. When I checked a week before my trip, the hotel website quoted a much lower rate. Emailed the hotel and was advised to cancel my previous booking and rebook again. Managed to get a much lower rate. So double check the price of the room on their main hotel website nearer to your trip to see if there's an offer of a cheaper rate for the same booking.
Room was small as we expected it. Very clean and well stocked ( full toiletries, cotton robes, coffee & tea facilities, mini fridge, hangers ). Given the lack of cupboard space, we had neatly folded all our clothings and stuff from our luggage and laid them on the long dresser table. Our empty luggage was stored under our bed as there was ample space for this. This made the room a little more walkable. Bed and linen were clean and super comfy. Though our pillows were a little flattish, we slept well. Toilet is tight but comfy for just 1 person at a time. Water pressure and heater were efficient.
Check in and check out were very quick via an automated system at the reception counter. Staff are very helpful but not too fluent in English.
The hotel is a 5 min walk to Kanda station. The area around the station has lots of eateries and a number of convenient stores. Felt safe coming back at night. This hotel was our base for 4 nights in Tokyo. Subway travel was a breeze from Kanda station going to Tokyo Station ( for shinkansen ), Shinjuku, Ueno, Ikekuburo, Shibuya, Harajuku, Yokohama (slightly longer ride).
Will definitely check out the different branches of this hotel in Tokyo for its super good deals and very clean rooms.
