It is a dream hotel, full of legends, andean and colonial traditions, surrounded by stunning views, located in the district of Coporaque along the Colca riverbank, three hours from the city of Arequipa. Coporaque is a legendary place, located ten minutes from the town of Chivay. It has a vast colonial history that transports you to a scene of andean traditions, mysticism, devotion to religious festivals, and to the historical past that few have experienced closely. An old watermill located at the entrance of the hotel, welcomes you to Aranwa Pueblito Encantado del Colca, giving the best access to the magical universe that surrounds the Colca Valley. This place has an indescribable flora and fauna, as well as a hypnotic colorful sky crossed by the elegant flight of the condor, one of the most representative birds of Peru. The natural beauty of this place makes our guests enjoy a relaxing experience, allowing them to appreciate the majesty of the andean mountains as they walk through its lush gardens breathing fresh air. At night, hundreds of stars in the sky offer one of the most amazing spectacles that can be observed in nature, along with many shooting stars that create an atmosphere of magic and enchantment. Aranwa Pueblito Encantado del Colca was ranked 9th in Resort hotels in South America

I went with my friends few days ago and I really spent an unforgetatte experience staying in Aranwa. All the staff was extremetely helpful with having everything setup for us, and the food was really good, my favorite was definitely the fetuccine huancaina con osobucco. Also, the Pisco classes at the bar was a great experience that I will forever recall. I would like to give an special mention to Carlos, he was extremely kind with his attention at the hotel reception. This hotel is highly recommended, the best all around and I can't wait to book again when I come back next year.

The staff was extraordinary, very friendly from reception and restaurant, they made us feel very welcome during our stay. Regarding the facilities, the hotel in general is very welcoming, the rooms were very comfortable and met our expectations, however the pool area does require maintenance. In the restaurant, breakfast had very few options and a la carte food was nothing special, some snack-type options as well as drinks.

The hotel is pretty much out of the way, but that just makes it that much more private. My family had time to do the spa service which they enjoyed very much. The hotel is like a mini village, it had a great ambiance and great places for photos. The restaurant had delicious food and was nice and warm for the cold night we had. Made it even better by putting Eucalyptus logs in the fireplace. The arroz con pato was so good you didn’t even need a knife for the duck. The meat just fell off the bone. The manager came around asking everyone how they stay was. My family and I truly enjoyed our time here. They also have free roaming llamas walking around and we took photos with them. Definitely worth coming back for a few more days.

The entire staff was more than helpful with having everything setup for my girlfriends birthday, and the dinner was amazing. It includes a private room with candles, a fireplace, and the most amazing trout ceviche you could have. Jefferson was incredible with his service throughout the whole experience. 5 stars all around and I can't wait to book again when I come back with family.

This review is quite special, since I spent over 17 days in this hotel. 3 of those were because I wanted to be there, and I had a wonderful time. The other 14 days was because of the quarantine declared in Peru due to the COVID19 emergency. And I am so gratefuly it hit me in this place. I could write about the many good things of the hotel. The great rooms, the amazing little village environment and beautiful garden with the alpacas, the swimming pool and the spa, or the tasty food with full plates they serve. I could describe how beautiful the surrounding nature is or the great thermal baths just 4 minutes away. How carefuly decorated the rooms are and how sparkly clean they are after housesitting takes care of them or the plenty of activities you can do inside or outside of the hotel (from fishing to alpaca feeding or cooking classes). But I believe all that was already said in previous reviews. This is just a hotel that if you are in Peru YOU HAVE TO GO. Not just to see the condors but to feel true peruvian culture. Now, our situation was a bit different. Not only us but also the staff of the hotel were under lockdown in the country due to the emergency. It was a new and disturbing situation for everyone. Yet the hotel and the staff did everything they could (with good success) to make us feel good and confortable. To continue working as usual (even with their families far away) and to provide everything we needed. We become a family, friends. They were always catering for our well being. Supper attentive with our little girls, preparing great food and having amazing time together. This review is not just for the goods of the Aranwa hotel, which again, you SHOULD go. But for very specific people who made transformed the experience of being under lockdown, into a fun loving experience of 17 days sharing stories, having good time together and creating ever lasting memories. If you happen to be there, make sure you say hello to these incredible people: Jhon and Raúl in the kitchen (amazing quiche and breads). Jefersson and Luz in the restaurant and bar (Jefersson is the best pisco sour barman ever, and Luz was the best with the kids!). Andrea and Daniel at the frontdesk catering for all our needs and always having a smile during difficult times. And Frank in house keeping and maintenance making sure evrything was working properly. And of course last but not least Jose María, who managed the team and took care of everything, including our transport to Arequipa on our last day. Calling everyone, getting permissions from the police, arranging being able to leave during curfew, etc. Jose Maria should be managing a hotel very soon. I will remember the people in this hotel forever. Not just because of the situation but because how they handled it. In a incredible professional way, but making it personal as well. Thank you very much team!
