Charming renovation of an old townhouse, with a small rooftop pool and lounge area, situated in the historic center of Telde.
We had the last available room on the ground floor, which was in very good shape, with a large bathroom and double bed of good quality. The windows open on the street so not much privacy, but the noise was ok as there is almost no traffic. Would prefer a room on a higher floor.
A rather modest breakfast is served in the central closed patio, you get your own cheese and meat plate with bread, I don’t eat meat, so would have preferred a choice.
In general a nice experience.

At the reception we were assisted by Miss Yurena, whom we want to thank for her kindness and disposition. We stayed for ten nights in this delightful hotel, friends had stayed in it last year and were full of praise so we decided to give it a try. We were certainly not disappointed. The rooms are beautifully furnished, comfortable, quiet and with a fridge and complimentary bottles of water. The whole building has a relaxed calm air. There is a very pleasant roof terrace with a small (tiny) pool.
The staff are absolutely wonderful, helpful in every way and have excellent English. Definitely a delightful place to stay.

First of all, the total disinterest of the staff. We only met the receptionist at breakfast, after 4 p.m. the reception is closed and if you arrive later you will receive instructions regarding access via WhatsApp. We literally never heard from her other than asking if we wanted orange juice and/or hot milk. Not if we had slept well, if everything was fine, if we needed anything. Breakfast was put on the table without a word. When we left on the last day, she asked as an extra 'are you okay?' and when we said no, not really, she just opened the door, smiled a little but didn't say a word. So we left without explanation.
We found breakfast basic. No fresh orange juice, measured amounts of bread and toppings served on a platter. per person: 1 slice of bread, 1 roll, 1 sweet something or croissant, 2 slices of ham (if you were successful, 1 of them dried ham), 2 slices of cheese (and again with luck 1 of them local), 2 types of jam, a few pieces of fruit and if you succeeded (we did 1 x) 1 tomato slices. Natural or strawberry yoghurt is freely available and yes, a choice of cereals! No, as the website advertises, breakfast buffet. It is certainly not of the level we would expect from a hotel that presents itself as special. We found the lights along the stairs constantly flickering on and off very irritating and made us want to get back on the road even faster.
The mattress was covered with a plastic bottom sheet. The last day we wet the bed was over 55 years ago. Now it just made the bed too hot and sweaty. So not a good night's sleep. Air conditioning works well.
Most of the time the room was dark because you have no privacy when the shutters are open. We really like daylight. So not that comfortable.
We arrived knowing that many restaurants and bars would be closed on Sundays. So we knew that a drink close to the hotel would not be possible. No problem, the website stated that there would be a minibar in the room. What a disappointment that this was not a minibar, but an empty refrigerator! There was absolutely nothing that made us feel welcome. The only option for a drink was water or tea that you can make in the room. You cannot make coffee in the room.
Swimming pool is not heated and therefore ice cold in March. There are no bathrobes in the room.
Advice: find another hotel.

This is a really lovely hotel in the old part of town - a very quiet location. It's right next to a church and a beautiful square. There are a couple of restaurants nearby though we chose mostly to walk up to the newer part of town where there are many more bars and restaurants. The people on reception are really nice and helpful. There is a small pool on the roof with loungers around it. We loved Telde - it seems much more like the real Spain than the resorts in the south, and everything was also much cheaper. Would definitely recommend this place for a relaxed stay away from the tourist hotspots.

CazinkUK2018's review sums it up well: still looking fresh, the hotel is a welcome addition to the attractive historic core of San Juan, Telde: a couple of simple restaurants within a couple of minutes, lots of locals congregating around the impressive Basilica next door, and virtually no tourist presence whatsoever - a contrast with much of the rest of the island. Our first floor room (7) was smaller than we expected, but well-equipped; and the roof terrace (with VERY small, cold plunge pool) would have been nice if we'd had proper Gran Canaria weather. Excellent breakfast, and good value all round. Telde can be reached very easily by bus from Las Palmas, and it's only 12 minutes onward bus trip to the airport.

Due to an early flight out of Las Palmas, I stayed one night. The hotel is in an old building full of charm. Comfy beds and a sun terrace on the roof - with a small pool to cool down in :) The town seems quite small but there is a pedestrian area with cafees and restaurants.

What a beautiful hotel this is. The young woman at reception who greeted us also looked after us extremely well throughout our stay. She gave us some excellent advice on where to eat, the lovliest bits of town to visit and how to get to the coast, walking. She also ordered us a taxi to take us to the airport. Nothign was too much trouble. Our room was amazing and this hotel is in such a quiet as well as stunning location. We couldn't have been happier with it. Loved the plunge pool on the roof. So refreshing!

I am very satisfied with the hotel's services. my room was beautifully cleaned. The whole place has a very good atmosphere. Beautiful scent lingers all around every room what you can even feel from the street. The beautiful receptionist Samara she is very professional and helpful with excellent English skills. I also got breakfast, which was very delicious and homemade. The location is also very beautiful shops and spa service nearby, I can only recommend.
