Today we visited Cagneys for Sunday Lunch. It was lovely with the vegetables served in a separate side dish, very well presented. Tori, the lady who owns Cagneys was very hospitable. It was our first visit and we shall be returning. Thank you Tori and Ash. Susan and Paul (new neighbours)

Just stayed for 1 night, Saturday as I was going to a show elsewhere. 40 Euro for what I thought was B & B. Just to note, breakfast was not included. They have just 5 rooms above the bar. Some double and some twin. I had a double which was very comfortable. Room had a large and small fluffy towel waiting on the bed. There was no problem with hot water, plenty of it. However there was no soap or shampoo. Big plus, kettle and tea & coffee making supplied in the room.Room number 4 had a balcony too. Cagneys could do with a sigh at the back as it isn't marked at all. Parking is plenifull. Breakfast was available from about 10 am. Small 3.50, medium, (I had that) 5.50 e

We had the best time staying here overnight whilst visiting friends in the neighbourhood. Great room with extra little touches. Torie and Ashleigh went above and beyond to make it a good stay. The bar was fun, fun, fun.

Extremely poor food. The fried eggs were like rubber very over cooked. No attempt to follow most of the guidelines for COVID19. Staff have NO masks, no gloves, no cleansing or cleaning. Staff touch customers. Don’t go there it’s a place to get COVID19 and food is poor

A very warm welcome from hosts Kate & Ricky who run this establishment. The accomodation is above the bar/restaurant where breakfast is served. The kitchen is open until 10pm providong a varied menu. Although they have entertainment on in the bar it does not go into the early hours of the morning so is not too intrusive.
Cagneys is situated pretty central in Urb. La Marina just off the main road, very close to other bars, restaurants and shops ranging from supermarkets to souvenier shops. The banks, bus stop and taxi rank are just round the corner.
Rooms are clean with ensuite. Small balcony which is handy for drying towels etc..

arrived 27th june 2013, twin room en suite and terrace.First few days ok then noticed no clean towels, had to ask for milk at bar for the in room tea and coffee was told powdered would be provided none ever was.Had to ask for toilet paper on second day. Power kept tripping off had to get up through the nite to reset, nothing done bout it. no main light in room nothing done bout it. shower head was terrible. Was meant to be a non smoking room yet one of the guests next to us puffed so many the smell filled our room, i'm a smoker but not in the room and the smell was awful. TV in room only dutch programs, The web site says hairdryer there wasn't one. No ironing board or iron either. We stayed until 4th july and in that week our room was not cleaned, no fresh towels or clean sheets. On the morning we left no one even asked if we had enjoyed our stay. Very poor management.

Kate & Ricky were the perfect hosts. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with stunning views. Kate served a good range of high quality food and Ricky kept the bar in order. It is in a good location within easy reach of the excellent beach and a variety of shops and restaurants are on the doorstep if you don't want to eat in the bar. There is entertainment in the bar most night's with Kate and her famous 'twoty two' bingo night on Tuesdays - you have to see it to believe it!! An all round enjoyable holiday.

We booked B&B at Cagneys La Marina and paid Eur 140 for 4 nights. When we got there we were shown to our room and given 3 keys to let ourselves in and out of the conservatory at the front of the bar and then the upstairs door and our room and was then shown to our room. The owner pointed out that she had forgotten to put towels and toilet roll into our room but would do that later. We went out and came back quite late to find that there were still no towels or loo roll. As the room next door was not being used and was open i went in there and took the clean towels and loo roll so that we had some. Unfortunately when we tried to have a shower that night we had no hot water at all so had to boil a kettle to have a wash as the bar was closed. The next morning we were up early ready for breakfast only to find that not only did we still not have any hot water but the bar did not open until 10am and therefore we could not have breakfast before then. We decided to go elsewhere to eat as it was 8am and we were hungry. We came back and told the owner later that we had no hot water and she said she would look into it. I also told her that I had taken the towels and toilet roll from the other room and she laughed and said oh yes sorry I forgot about that. We also noted that the bar would be closed on Friday so asked what should be do about breakfast and was told there are lots of places nearby you could eat. By this time I was fed up so just decided to go out. Again on Friday we had not hot water and I messaged to owner at 7.30. I received a reply at 3.30 to say she was sorry and could not understand why it was not working but would all a plumber. Later that night we did have some hot water but it was very erratic only lasting a few minutes at a time either scalding or freezing. In the four days were there we had one breakfast of tea and toast as we had eaten earlier and my husband was still a bit peckish. Because we were busy we were out early but had we known that the bar did not serve breakfast until 10am we would have stayed elsewhere and to be honest I wish we had the service was just so poor. The room was not cleaned in the four days we were there we were not offered clean towels and had to ask for tea and coffee for the room as it was not replenished. Thankfully we have family in the area so we could shower at their homes. Cagneys had been recommended to us by family who had stayed there in June and I was so disappointed by the service I could not believe that this was the same place he stayed in. Will definitely give this place a wide berth in future.
