I have always read about the beauty of the village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio and in July I chose it for a holiday alone, to get to know it in person and discover its surroundings. It was a very pleasant discovery to stay at the Torretta Medicea and the Residence Il Palazzo managed by the same owners. Andrea and Sara combine great professionalism with a family-like, empathetic relationship towards guests which in itself is worth part of the holiday. Both structures are very comfortable and particular, one is right in the center of the village with a view of the small square and the mountains in front, the other is an ancient farmhouse converted into a residence and restaurant without losing its original identity, cared for with skill and good taste. The cohort that gives access to the stairs to the accommodation was a magical place for me to enjoy profound peace and observe the flight of the swallows that made their nests there. I then appreciated the excellent breakfast and the lunch and dinner courses which I enjoyed for the exquisiteness of the preparation and the choice of raw materials. I also thank Andrea and Sara for knowing how to put guests and all the friendly and kind staff at ease. I would definitely return to them in a future stay in Abruzzo and have already recommended it to my friends.
