Stayed there in August of 21. The hotel is lovely. Recently done up, everything was very clean with a modern and fresh feel. We booked two rooms, a family suite and the Marathon suite and both rooms were nice and spacious. The Marathon suite comes with its own little garden, the family suite comes with an additional bedroom and a huge bathroom. Service was top notch. Staff at the front desk and the pool bar / restaurant were always very polite and helpful. The pool was a very decent size with a nice shallow end for the little ones (1.20m). The only thing which was somewhat disappointing was that the bar and restaurant close at 5pm so the hotel is failry dead in the evenings, there isn't anything to do and you dont see anyone around so you have to venture out. Luckily there are plenty or restaurants, cafes and bars just across the street so that's not too much of a concern unless there are mobility issues. I understand from the staff that the early closure is Covid related, so this may not be the case in the future. Recommend

This hotel is located in a prime spot. It is opposite the beach and a lots of lovely bars and restaurants. Lisa, the reception area, is amazing. She is very helpful and speaks good English. We have been back to this hotel 4 times now. It’s the best in the area. The swimming pool area is nice and clean. You can sit around the pool and order food or drink and if you want, run up a tab and pay at the end of the day. The breakfast has plenty to choose from and both hot and cold. Fresh fruit everyday too. Tea, coffee and other hot drinks are also available. Also could fruit juices and milk. The rooms are all facing towards the pool area. They are freshly decorated with a shower room. There is tea and coffee facilities in the room. You can access an iron from reception. Pool towels require a deposit, also from reception, but this is fully refunded when you return the towel. There is a children’s pool and a big pool. It’s nice to swim lengths in when it opens at 10 am ish. The hotel also caters for wedding receptions. If you need a taxi to travel, you can ask reception and they will arrange this for you in advance. There is plenty of reading books to choose from and they also offer free bike rental. There is about 10 to choose from. They are not modern bikes but they are good to use along the beach and pedal to Marathon or towards Mati. I would highly recommend this hotel. It costs a bit more than others in the area but we have stay at mostly all of them and this is the best and worth the extra.

Very nice hotel , very clean , staff are super helpful and friendly Rooms are nice , all face the pool , with balcony Breakfast is a bit bland , same food everyday Bar is good , and staff bring around water during the day , prices quite reasonable for food and drinks Pool is good , very chilled and you don’t need to put towels on sun beds as there is loads Wedding at weekend was great to see , load music but once you shut bedroom door you couldn’t hear it Easy to get to Athens via bus and metro , takes about an hour , we went twice , no problem , costs 8€ , metro ticket last 24 hours , taxis are mega expenses Lots of nice restaurants along front in Nea Makri which is a nice walk Sadly no water sports anywhere nearby

Terrible service for $200 per night. Breakfast consisted of white bread and a few slices of cheese. Numerous friends were refused a second room key so we couldn't keep AC on while out of the room despite 34°C air temperature, then we were instructed not to change the AC settings. No toiletries in the bathroom. Phone didn't work. Shower leaked all over the floor, one friend fell in the bathroom as a result. One iron and no ironing table available to the entire hotel while we were staying for a wedding. Water to the entire hotel was off on our last morning before flying home, meaning no showers/taps or working toilets.
1 star only because the bar staff were pleasant and the location was good.

We spent 1 night in this hotel due to flight transfer, sent by the company aegean airlines. When we arrived, the employee (bold guy) gave us 2 rooms for wife, 2 kids and me. Without mentionning there would be a litte problem : our rooms were located just Over an outside night club ! Even with the windows closed you can hardly hear a person speak in the bedroom ! And he gave these rooms to a familly with young kids ! Unbeleivable ! I called him to change rooms, he said there were the last ones. When I called again few minutes later, he said he wasn’t responsible for the rooms dispatch (there were other rooms obviously !). He said he would call the club to ask to lower the music. Nothing happened ! He ensured the music would stop at midnight: of course not ! It stopped after 3.30am ! It was saturday night !
This guy was a lier ! And didn t care at all about my kids ! As a result, my kids felt asleep at 2am, and my wife and I didn’t sleep for a minut ! We had to leave the hotel at 5.30 am to catch our flight.
When we left, I was obvisouly extremely mad and the famous employee finally admitted these rooms should never be given to anyone, and especially not to familly / kids !
To sum up : worst employee ever (lier ! And doesn’t care about your children or you) and this hotel is a scandal. NEVER GO THERE PLEASE ! I will repeat as much as necessary everywhere and by every mean

Loved the resort. Very authentically Greek. Hotel is in a great location by harbour. Get there early to see fishermen selling their catches. Great Greek breakfast. Lovely pool and pool bar serving food and drinks during the day. Very genuine friendly helpful staff (Olga at pool bar and Lisa on reception) and the best free Wi-Fi in every area. Fridges in rooms. Room tip 213 was by us and has a front and side sea view. No lifts but only two floors. Pick up a bike FOC from reception - very flat area. 70 tortoises live around the foliage of the grounds. Another tip if you want to go to Athens a taxi is about €55 - reception will sort. Absolutely loved it here …. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

For a short stay I would recommend this Hotel, the rooms are freshly renovated and are clean and the size is ok. The staff is nice and helpful. Pool area is nice and clean with enough sun chairs and it has a lovely bar. Breakfast was ok but nothing fancy. I would never book half board again, the hotel does not have a kitchen, you have to get a voucher at the reception every evening and then you are sent to a nearby restaurant which is not really the best choice. there are better, affordable restaurants nearby. I did not use the beach. the surrounding is nothing spectacular a little rundown, the city-center is about 1,5km further north.

We arrived at this hotel after Aegean Airlines offered us overnight accommodation because their flights were delayed and we missed the connection. Clean, decent rooms, air conditioning, balcony, a stone's throw from the sea. The bathroom needs renovation.

A great hotel in an excellent location near the seafront. It serves a limited but lovely breakfast in the poolside restaurant which is also open for lunch and drinks through the day (including a lovely freshly squeezed orange juice) . The waitress at the restaurant is lovely and the reception staff are helpful. Would stay again.

Hi! I totally agree with dudegr's answer! It will be a bit cold also in terms of swimming in the sea but if you rent a car there will be lots to do! Hotel is lovely though! Enjoy!
The weather could be splendid but the sea will be a little cold to swim. The area can be windy so mornings and evenigs are cool. Does not rain very much at that time of year.
There are more places to choose from in the Nea Makri area.
