This was a second time we stayed in Sotelia. The first one was exactly (to the day) 10 years ago, and we we anxious to see if it is still our favorite hotel. And is sure was. Sotelia team maintained it perfectly and assured that we enjoyed every second of our stay there. With water temperature in pools (and there are many of them in Orhidelia terme - spa) at or above 90F, it was very hard to decide to get out of the pool. Perfectly clean with crystal clear thermal water, and all sorts of hydro massages, it was absolutely perfect place to relax. It is important to say that Orhidelia is for adults only and never overcrowded, what made our stay there even more pleasurable. Hotel itself is amazingly incorporated into the surrounded nature, a pure masterpiece of architecture. Our room was clean and well maintained, and we received a bottle of thermal mineral water every morning. Food in the restaurant was plentiful, fresh and tasty, and both breakfast and dinner spreads had so many options that it was hard to choose and not overeat. Our romantic dinner in the Gratiola restaurant was really nice, with candlelight and great food, masterfully served. Shout out to two remarkable staff members - Marija in Pomum bar by the pool, made a perfect Latte and served it with kindness and smile every single time. Mateja Bobek is an amazing artist and meditations with gong were absolutely perfect. She would finish every class with singing, and it was like hearing the angel. We are making plans for our next trip to Sotelia. and we are certain that it will be soon. Strongly recommended if you wand and need a total relaxation....

Value for money, hm not so much for spa! Location and all the facilities splendid. Food was ok. In the family spa area, no room anywhere to sit and put your things...all chairs /spots reserved and taken. We were on the floor. The same happened the next day (chairs/spots taken for hours with no people...and almost 50% of chairs like that). Rooms are too hot, as heating in room was as in spa with no regulation possible.

Stayed 4 nights for a business conference. Very nice surroundings and spa/pool facilities. Friendly and very helpful staff, painless check-in. Extensive breakfast with lots of options. Kudos to the bar staff (especially Katja) for accomodating our group almost every night. Very spacious rooms with the usual amenities (no iron though). My only problem with this hotel is that it's pretty hot almost everywhere (and it wasn't even summer yet). The air conditioning in my room didn't work, and when I was given another room (without hassle) it worked - but only a little bit. Same problem in the common areas such as the bar and the restaurant. If climate conditions were better I would rate it maximum - because the rest is superb. Conference facilities were also decent.

As for room, swimming pools (a little bit too could temperature), staff on the reception and cleaning staff i don’t have any bad things to say just to be clear, but i have a lot of complaints about food, especially if you are with a 10 month old kid. First breakfast: plastic juice, basic food and the worst part the staff! I have asked for a žemlja and kosmiči which are basic Slovenian words but the Staff didn’t understand and had to call for help?? WTF?!! Dinner: no sauces, like literary we had to ask for bolognese sauce from macaroni to put over gnocchi. Vegetables were soulless as seen on the picture. Meat seasoned with Wurz so it could hide the quality and bad preparation. Ice-cream was low budget and awful, although other sweets were eatable. And the biggest stupidity: Now in covid we also couldn’t take alone plates, salad, main courses, fruit etc. everything was given to us, so no touching of anything as well wearing mask is mandatory everywhere. But how does this make sense if we meet on the swimming pool without any masks, swim near each other and have to be tested or have a negative covid test? At least staff which understands us could be arranged. To recap: until staff, food quality and food choices improve immensely this hotel wont see me, especially if you pay around 1.000 eur for a 4 days stay! Also if you are a healthy vegeterian / vegan, be prepared to drink only water for your stay.

When you pay 600€ for 2 nights stay, your expectations are high.
The price you pay at this hotel is not worth the service you get. Therw was hair in the room on the bed and pillow. I also found hair under the shower. So, the cleanliness in the room at very poor level.
They do not offer bed and breakfast, but I think it would be better to have it as the food at the buffet dinner is very bad. Mostly cold and tertiary - at least for me a big disappointment for a 4 * hotel.
The only bright spot of the hotel for me is the staff at the reception, aware of customer dissatisfaction and unacceptable dirt in the room. As an apology they provided me with a gift certificate for the next stay.
Comparing to Rimske terme, a level or two down.

If your dietary needs are a bit off of common paths, then you are out of luck in this part of Slovenia. Dont get me wrong, you are safe for a day or two on vegetable pasta, but it gets old quite fast. If you are vegan, better grab that vegan sweet pie and should be good enough for dinner. In this day of age I would expect a bit more diversity from a 5 star hotel kitchen chef.
Other than this small pickle, great familly hotel and great pools inside and outside.

We heard so much good about it before our arrival,but left the hotel disappointed. The rooms are nice, but the heating was not working in our room. I had to ask the reception several times to have it checked. When the technicians arrived, they repaired it in only one room (we had a family room) and mentioned the other room perhaps even cannot be repaired, but that they will come later to try again. They didn't return and we weren't given feedback on it on the reception when we asked, no one knew anything. The entire stay we were in the cold room, my daughter caught a cold and a terrible cough thanks to it. The service was bad. When we arrived with two kid and a bunch of luggage, they didn't offer any help. The cleaning service did not put fresh water and fruit daily - which they boast with everywhere in ads. The waiters at the restaurant were uninterested, sometimes even rude. They have this funny system where you have to eat dinner within a defined hour, you have to define when you will come in advance, although the dinner lasts longer. Towards the end of dinner, there are no waiters, no one wants to take your drinks order even if it is still dinnertime. There is plenty of choice of food, but it is bland, everything tastes the same. I expected a higher quality for such a hotel. The pools are beautiful, clean. There weren't many people when we were there, but in peak season there are probably since the pool sunbeds are arranged next to each other literally, there is not 1 mm of space between the sunbeds.

We have spent a pleasant time on a prolonged weekend in Hotel Sotelia but overall review and experience is average. Clean rooms, friendly staff, eatable food, nice pools and additional interactive programs and theme rooms they offer for kids were not the reasons I wouldn't consider on my returning. It was 4 x 10 stairs I had to overcome twice a day with a fully equipped baby stroller carrying it down and braking by back when going through the underground tunnel that connects hotel and water area. Totally family with little babies unfriendly hotel not to mention disabled people who have no chance improvising in that case. No ramps what so ever, even though there is clearly enough space to install it on a side of the staircase. Sure, there was an option to make an outdoor connection from the hotel to the pools but believe me - rain, wind, and cold on top of a very steep path to the main entrance of the reception would deter any thinking of doing so. For both nights I also had hard time sleeping on a way too soft and very uncomfortable mattresses. I have to say that I were expecting more from a 4 star hotel and 550 euro for two nights with a BF and D. We still might come back one day but only when the kids will be a little bit older and if my feet will have no problems carrying around my own back up and down those stairs.

Nice, clean but overpriced packages. Good food and a nice buffet choice, but at the end we asked for vegetarian lunch package and we got sandwiches with salami, even though on the bag was written vege. Terme are nice, but overpacked with people and kids. No free sunbed available, not even for the hotel guests!

Buongiorno. No, il parco Aqualuna non é collegato con i tunnel come il resto del centro termale e gli alberghi principali. Ci saranno circa 10/15 minuti di passeggiata oppure circa 3 minuti in auto.
La zona ha diversi buoni ristoranti per tutte le tasche! La cucina slovena è ottima e di solito anche il rapporto qualità prezzo. Alle terme ti consigliano i posti migliori sia per il pranzo che per la cena
